spirit_n and_o call_v by_o the_o name_n of_o spirit_n whereas_o the_o law_n of_o moses_n be_v a_o dead_a mere_a outside_n literal_a thing_n in_o comparison_n of_o it_o 2_o cor._n 3.6_o i_o say_v the_o fault_n be_v lay_v upon_o the_o covenant_n which_o yet_o be_v a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n now_o what_o other_o fault_n it_o can_v be_v then_o this_o that_o the_o lord_n do_v not_o think_v it_o they_o know_v of_o god_n before_o a_o kill_a letter_n a_o ministration_n of_o death_n and_o condemnation_n and_o deserve_v to_o be_v abrogate_a and_o disannul_v if_o the_o lord_n will_v make_v a_o better_a clear_a more_o gracious_a and_o save_a and_o yet_o it_o can_v by_o no_o mean_n be_v conclude_v hence_o that_o it_o be_v true_o either_o in_o its_o own_o nature_n or_o in_o the_o intention_n of_o the_o lord_n who_o give_v it_o a_o covenant_n of_o work_n nay_o the_o contrary_a hereunto_o be_v sufficient_o evince_v ob._n 4._o but_o yet_o there_o be_v a_o very_a considerable_a objection_n behind_o which_o be_v thus_o you_o have_v acknowledge_v that_o in_o moses_n write_n there_o be_v a_o covenant_n of_o work_n describe_v that_o st._n paul_n assert_n now_o i_o will_v add_v say_v the_o objection_n that_o it_o be_v not_o only_o there_o describe_v but_o there_o commend_v to_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n as_o a_o part_n at_o least_o if_o not_o the_o chief_a part_n of_o the_o dispensation_n by_o moses_n and_o it_o be_v give_v with_o as_o great_a authority_n and_o have_v as_o solemn_a a_o sanction_n upon_o it_o as_o any_o part_n of_o the_o law_n of_o moses_n for_o in_o that_o place_n which_o the_o apostle_n paul_n quote_v out_o of_o moses_n viz._n leu._n 18.5_o for_o the_o description_n of_o a_o legal_a righteousness_n we_o have_v these_o word_n you_o shall_v value_v these_o thing_n beyond_o the_o true_a spiritual_a worship_n of_o god_n thou_o be_v a_o legallist_n of_o the_o worst_a sort_n for_o there_o be_v two_o kind_n of_o legal_a person_n better_a than_o thyself_o who_o yet_o perish_v but_o to_o leave_v this_o i_o come_v to_o the_o external_a conformity_n unto_o the_o moral_a law_n the_o partial_a obedience_n to_o this_o and_o man_n rest_v in_o none_o other_o but_o such_o as_o have_v high_a conformity_n to_o the_o command_n of_o the_o moral_a law_n for_o notwithstanding_o all_o the_o observation_n of_o ceremony_n whilst_o they_o be_v in_o not_o so_o high_a in_o their_o conformity_n to_o the_o moral_a law_n that_o yet_o perish_v by_o rest_v in_o their_o conformity_n to_o the_o moral_a law_n such_o as_o it_o be_v and_o of_o this_o sort_n i_o take_v to_o be_v very_o many_o of_o our_o ordinary_a people_n that_o perish_v god_n know_v who_o they_o be_v i_o judge_v no_o man_n but_o many_o of_o our_o ordinary_a people_n that_o perish_v who_o be_v not_o high_a devotionists_n nor_o in_o any_o excess_n superstitious_a yet_o use_v no_o great_a endeavour_n to_o get_v to_o heaven_n be_v at_o no_o pain_n with_o their_o heart_n to_o get_v in_o grace_n to_o cast_v out_o lust_n to_o get_v the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o christ_n find_v no_o difficulty_n in_o religion_n understand_v it_o not_o at_o all_o to_o be_v a_o warfare_n a_o
