in_o judgement_n and_o conscience_n he_o have_v adventure_v his_o life_n for_o the_o preservation_n of_o the_o honour_n and_o just_a power_n of_o parliament_n with_o the_o freedom_n liberty_n and_o property_n of_o the_o freeborn_a people_n of_o this_o nation_n that_o as_o heretofore_o so_o at_o present_a all_o the_o endeavour_n of_o wicked_a and_o malicious_a man_n be_v bend_v and_o employ_v to_o wound_n and_o destroy_v both_o the_o parliament_n honour_n and_o the_o people_n liberty_n by_o subtle_a designment_n and_o scandalous_a aspersion_n thereby_o to_o render_v both_o the_o do_v on_o the_o 28_o of_o august_n 1648._o that_o notwithstanding_o the_o say_a indictment_n do_v consist_v of_o four_o several_a head_n of_o treason_n wherein_o the_o whole_a army_n as_o well_o as_o your_o petitioner_n be_v accuse_v yet_o the_o say_a osbourn_n and_o dowcet_n give_v nothing_o material_a in_o evidence_n whereon_o a_o indictment_n can_v be_v ground_v so_o that_o upon_o the_o examination_n of_o the_o whole_a matter_n the_o grand_a jury_n return_v a_o ignoramus_n upon_o the_o say_a bill_n of_o indictment_n as_o by_o a_o certificate_n from_o the_o clerk_n of_o the_o assize_n more_o plain_o appear_v that_o your_o petitioner_n notwithstanding_o he_o be_v clear_a in_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o law_n and_o in_o the_o conscience_n of_o all_o honest_a man_n yet_o he_o be_v still_o a_o prisoner_n to_o the_o will_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o leave_v without_o a_o possibility_n of_o legal_a reparation_n both_o for_o his_o illegal_a imprisonment_n beside_o his_o great_a charge_n and_o damage_n in_o his_o estate_n and_o credit_n sustain_v be_v leave_v without_o all_o possibility_n of_o vindication_n or_o reparation_n unless_o this_o honourable_a house_n be_v please_v as_o in_o like_o case_n heretofore_o to_o take_v he_o into_o consideration_n and_o as_o a_o manifestation_n of_o their_o just_a sense_n of_o their_o own_o and_o the_o army_n honour_n and_o your_o petitioner_n unparalleled_a suffering_n find_v some_o expedient_a both_o for_o the_o enlargement_n vindication_n and_o reparation_n of_o your_o petitioner_n the_o judge_n be_v both_o corrupt_a and_o so_o near_o concern_v the_o lord_n so_o powerful_a and_o osbourn_n and_o dowcet_n so_o beggarly_a that_o it_o be_v impossible_a your_o petitioner_n shall_v ever_o be_v repair_v in_o his_o estate_n or_o credit_n without_o your_o justice_n be_v exercise_v in_o the_o obtain_n thereof_o the_o premise_n consider_v may_v it_o please_v your_o honour_n see_v that_o both_o your_o own_o and_o the_o army_n honour_n
