Hold fast the forme of sound words which thou hast heard of me in faith and love which is in Christ Iesus The Chief Articles of Christian Belief contained in the Scriptures and generally received by the Ancient modern Churches of God as doth appear by their joynt Confessions I Believe in God the Father Almighty Maker of Heaven and earth And in Iesus Christ his only Son our Lord which was conceived by the Holy Ghost born of the Virgin Mary suffered under Pontius Pilate was Crucified dead and buried he descended into Hell The third day he rose again from the dead he ascended into Heaven and sitteth on the Right hand of God the Father Almighty from thence he shall come to Judge the quick and the dead I believe in the Holy Ghost the holy Catholike Church the Communion of Saints the forgivenesse of sins the Resurrection of the Body and the Life everlasting The Ten Commandements GOD spake all these words saying I am the Lord thy God which have brought thee out of the Land of Egypt out of the house of bondage Thou shalt have no other Gods before me Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven Image nor the likeness of any thing that is in Heaven above or that is in the earth beneath
