jot_n to_o profane_v his_o name_n so_o they_o may_v effect_v their_o malicious_a purpose_n and_o matter_n go_v on_o their_o side_n yet_o god_n will_v have_v a_o care_n that_o their_o wickedness_n shall_v return_v and_o fall_v upon_o their_o own_o head_n &_o their_o own_o shame_n shall_v cover_v their_o face_n and_o the_o wrong_n do_v both_o to_o his_o name_n and_o to_o his_o servant_n shall_v be_v full_o discover_v and_o avenge_v thus_o much_o concern_v the_o three_o commandment_n for_o the_o glorifieng_v of_o god_n name_n now_o follow_v the_o four_o in_o these_o word_n follow_v remember_v put_v to_o any_o civil_a labour_n yea_o that_o the_o stranger_n when_o he_o come_v among_o we_o do_v not_o open_o profane_v the_o same_o though_o we_o can_v enforce_v he_o to_o come_v to_o the_o public_a exercise_n yet_o those_o that_o be_v in_o superiority_n must_v restrain_v he_o from_o public_a violate_v of_o it_o by_o open_a work_n and_o must_v lay_v the_o authority_n so_o far_o upon_o he_o as_o that_o they_o suffer_v he_o not_o among_o their_o people_n and_o in_o their_o jurisdiction_n in_o the_o face_n of_o the_o congregation_n open_o to_o break_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n the_o reason_n be_v diverse_a first_o draw_v from_o the_o equity_n and_o righteousness_n of_o it_o in_o these_o word_n six_o day_n shall_v thou_o labour_v q._n d._n i_o have_v give_v thou_o six_o day_n for_o thy_o business_n and_o have_v take_v but_o one_o for_o myself_o therefore_o thou_o must_v be_v very_o well_o content_v to_o yield_v to_o i_o in_o this_o so_o reasonable_a and_o equal_a a_o in_o these_o word_n for_o in_o six_o day_n the_o lord_n make_v heaven_n &_o earth_n the_o sea_n and_o all_o that_o in_o they_o be_v and_o rest_v the_o seven_o day_n q._n d._n if_o thou_o will_v follow_v example_n and_o be_v lead_v by_o other_o then_o follow_v the_o example_n of_o the_o best_a now_o what_o better_a example_n can_v there_o be_v than_o the_o example_n of_o god_n himself_o now_o god_n himself_o when_o he_o go_v to_o make_v the_o world_n and_o all_o the_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n contrive_v all_o his_o work_n so_o as_o that_o he_o finish_v they_o within_o the_o compass_n of_o six_o day_n and_o on_o the_o seven_o day_n do_v rest_n from_o all_o his_o work_n of_o creation_n only_o preserve_v those_o thing_n which_o before_o he_o have_v make_v therefore_o from_o his_o example_n learn_v thou_o so_o to_o dispatch_v all_o thy_o business_n on_o the_o six_o day_n as_o that_o on_o the_o seven_o day_n cease_v from_o labour_n in_o thy_o call_n thou_o may_v whole_o give_v thyself_o to_o the_o duty_n of_o sanctification_n and_o to_o meditate_v on_o god_n power_n and_o greatness_n in_o his_o six_o day_n work_n for_o which_o end_n as_o one_o special_a thing_n to_o be_v sabbath_n thus_o much_o concern_v the_o sum_n and_o exposition_n of_o this_o commandment_n now_o because_o there_o be_v many_o that_o do_v disagree_v in_o this_o doctrine_n of_o the_o sabbath_n and_o account_v the_o keep_n holy_a of_o the_o seven_o day_n in_o the_o number_n of_o those_o ceremony_n which_o be_v abrogate_a by_o christ_n and_o reach_v only_o to_o the_o jew_n therefore_o it_o be_v requisite_a that_o we_o approve_v and_o confirm_v by_o some_o sound_a reason_n out_o of_o god_n word_n that_o this_o commandment_n be_v moral_a and_o perpetual_a and_o as_o careful_o to_o be_v keep_v under_o the_o gosple_n as_o under_o the_o law_n and_o to_o continue_v in_o force_n so_o long_o as_o any_o of_o the_o commandment_n even_o so_o long_o as_o there_o be_v this_o world_n and_o a_o church_n militant_a upon_o earth_n the_o first_o reason_n to_o confirm_v this_o may_v be_v draw_v from_o those_o reason_n which_o god_n use_v for_o the_o confirmation_n of_o it_o in_o the_o text_n the_o reason_n be_v all_o of_o they_o perpetual_a and_o none_o of_o they_o ceremonial_a and_o every_o one_o as_o much_o belong_v unto_o we_o as_o unto_o they_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v without_o reason_n to_o make_v the_o commandment_n itself_o of_o less_o scope_n and_o bind_v few_o to_o keep_v it_o than_o those_o reason_n which_o be_v bring_v to_o confirm_v it_o for_o go_v through_o the_o whole_a commandment_n what_o one_o word_n in_o all_o of_o it_o have_v any_o note_n of_o ceremony_n what_o reason_n savour_v of_o any_o
that_o with_o a_o true_a hart_n be_v willing_a to_o be_v teach_v and_o to_o confound_v also_o and_o condemn_v and_o leave_v without_o excuse_n before_o god_n judgement_n seat_n such_o as_o will_v not_o yield_v to_o plain_n and_o strong_a reason_n draw_v out_o of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n but_o continue_v obstinate_a in_o their_o false_a conceit_n but_o because_o the_o point_n may_v be_v more_o plain_a and_o manifest_a it_o be_v good_a to_o answer_v some_o of_o their_o objection_n whereby_o they_o will_v overturn_v this_o plain_a truth_n now_o the_o grand_a objection_n be_v because_o we_o keep_v not_o the_o same_o sabbath_n that_o the_o jew_n do_v but_o the_o day_n be_v alter_v therefore_o they_o say_v we_o must_v keep_v none_o this_o be_v their_o argument_n of_o so_o great_a weight_n but_o how_o foolish_a it_o shall_v appear_v easy_o if_o we_o examine_v it_o a_o little_a more_o narrow_o for_o though_o we_o keep_v not_o the_o self_n same_o day_n that_o they_o do_v yet_o we_o have_v the_o same_o commandment_n &_o authority_n for_o our_o day_n that_o that_o they_o have_v for_o they_o therefore_o this_o day_n that_o we_o keep_v be_v call_v the_o lord_n day_n in_o revel_v 1._o where_o john_n say_v he_o be_v in_o the_o spirit_n upon_o the_o lord_n day_n afore_o it_o be_v call_v the_o day_n of_o rest_n because_o god_n rest_v on_o it_o from_o the_o work_n of_o creation_n but_o now_o it_o be_v call_v the_o lord_n day_n because_o christ_n jesus_n institute_v it_o as_o a_o special_a memorial_n of_o his_o resurrection_n &_o perfect_v of_o the_o work_n of_o our_o redemption_n for_o the_o apostle_n by_o the_o authority_n of_o that_o spirit_n which_o always_o assist_v they_o in_o their_o ministerial_a office_n do_v alter_v the_o day_n &_o themselves_o keep_v &_o ordain_v it_o to_o be_v keep_v in_o all_o the_o church_n as_o may_v appear_v 1._o cor._n 16._o 1._o where_o he_o say_v the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n when_o you_o meet_v together_o etc._n etc._n where_o the_o apostle_n show_v that_o the_o congregation_n of_o christ_n be_v wont_v on_o the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n to_o meet_v together_o for_o the_o performance_n of_o all_o holy_a duty_n of_o the_o number_n whereof_o collection_n for_o the_o poor_a be_v one_o because_o of_o the_o manifold_a persecution_n wherewith_o in_o the_o primative_a church_n they_o be_v more_o afflict_v and_o have_v need_n of_o continual_a relief_n this_o be_v the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o jewish_a week_n &_o our_o lord_n day_n so_o also_o in_o the_o acts._n paul_n himself_o keep_v this_o day_n which_o he_o spend_v in_o preach_v till_o midnight_n and_o after_o administer_v the_o sacrament_n in_o which_o two_o exercise_n he_o continue_v till_o the_o dawn_n of_o the_o day_n so_o that_o the_o keep_n of_o this_o day_n be_v institute_v by_o god_n in_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o keep_v by_o they_o and_o the_o church_n in_o their_o time_n &_o therefore_o as_o strong_o command_v we_o as_o the_o jew_n and_o be_v of_o no_o less_o force_n now_o then_o before_o then_o second_o the_o reason_n of_o the_o change_n and_o of_o our_o keep_v this_o day_n be_v no_o less_o than_o of_o their_o keep_v that_o day_n for_o when_o the_o creation_n of_o the_o world_n be_v the_o great_a work_n that_o ever_o be_v do_v than_o the_o memorial_n of_o that_o be_v chief_o to_o be_v regard_v but_o now_o alteration_n and_o vary_v of_o the_o day_n detract_v nothing_o from_o the_o truth_n and_o force_n of_o the_o commandment_n and_o whereas_o they_o say_v that_o the_o church_n may_v at_o their_o pleasure_n alter_v it_o that_o be_v not_o so_o for_o there_o can_v never_o be_v a_o authority_n great_a than_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o apostle_n nor_o a_o cause_n great_a than_o the_o resurrection_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o redemption_n of_o the_o church_n and_o therefore_o neither_o can_v the_o day_n be_v change_v for_o to_o make_v a_o new_a day_n where_o no_o such_o warrant_n do_v allow_v nor_o no_o cause_n occasion_n it_o be_v to_o take_v more_o upon_o they_o than_o be_v fit_a for_o if_o the_o jew_n in_o former_a time_n be_v bind_v to_o keep_v it_o holy_a have_v only_o sacrament_n for_o the_o outward_a seal_n that_o the_o jew_n have_v for_o they_o have_v circumcision_n and_o they_o have_v the_o pascall_n lamb_n what_o tell_v you_o i_o of_o the_o consecrate_v water_n and_o of_o the_o bread_n and_o wine_n hallow_v the_o jew_n have_v no_o such_o matter_n since_o these_o sign_n be_v alter_v i_o think_v it_o be_v but_o a_o ceremony_n and_o we_o need_v not_o regard_v baptism_n &_o the_o supper_n this_o be_v no_o good_a argument_n in_o this_o case_n for_o though_o the_o shadow_n be_v other_o yet_o the_o substance_n be_v the_o same_o christ_n jesus_n be_v signify_v by_o our_o bread_n and_o wine_n as_o well_o as_o by_o their_o lamb_n and_o our_o baptism_n be_v the_o sacrament_n of_o regeneration_n as_o well_o as_o their_o circumcision_n therefore_o we_o shall_v not_o despise_v they_o but_o so_o much_o the_o more_o be_v careful_a to_o prepare_v ourselves_o for_o they_o because_o the_o service_n be_v more_o easy_a &_o the_o promise_n more_o lightsome_a if_o then_o it_o will_v not_o hold_v that_o we_o have_v no_o sacrament_n because_o the_o outward_a seal_n be_v alter_v than_o it_o be_v as_o weak_a a_o consequence_n that_o we_o have_v no_o seven_o day_n to_o be_v sanctify_v because_o the_o day_n be_v alter_v and_o we_o keep_v not_o the_o same_o that_o they_o do_v so_o that_o no_o proof_n can_v be_v gather_v from_o the_o vary_a of_o the_o day_n that_o the_o duty_n be_v abolish_v because_o the_o authority_n be_v as_o strong_a the_o reason_n as_o good_a and_o the_o same_o reason_n do_v not_o hold_v in_o other_o thing_n again_o they_o object_n that_o to_o a_o christian_n every_o day_n be_v a_o sabbath_n day_n and_o therefore_o we_o shall_v not_o restrain_v it_o to_o one_o day_n more_o than_o another_o but_o the_o answer_n to_o this_o be_v that_o it_o be_v most_o false_a for_o god_n do_v not_o require_v neither_o be_v a_o christian_n able_a to_o keep_v every_o day_n a_o sabbath_n day_n so_o long_o as_o they_o remain_v on_o earth_n indeed_o in_o heaven_n he_o shall_v keep_v a_o continual_a sabbath_n unto_o the_o lord_n but_o now_o so_o long_o as_o we_o live_v there_o be_v as_o much_o difference_n betwixt_o the_o sabbath_n day_n and_o otheir_o day_n as_o betwixt_o the_o consecrate_v bread_n we_o receive_v at_o the_o lord_n table_n and_o the_o common_a bread_n we_o receive_v at_o our_o own_o table_n this_o be_v true_a that_o every_o one_o must_v serve_v god_n on_o the_o six_o day_n and_o all_o his_o life_n long_o but_o on_o the_o seven_o day_n we_o must_v not_o only_o serve_v god_n
sabbath_n day_n when_o he_o come_v home_n either_o his_o master_n or_o dame_n allow_v he_o in_o it_o or_o else_o they_o be_v mute_a and_o say_v nothing_o to_o he_o or_o if_o they_o do_v begin_v to_o reproove_v he_o it_o be_v do_v so_o cold_o so_o careless_o with_o so_o little_a vehemency_n that_o the_o servant_n may_v well_o perceive_v it_o come_v from_o the_o tooth_n outward_a his_o master_n then_o second_o this_o serve_v for_o the_o instruction_n of_o all_o householder_n that_o desire_v to_o be_v indeed_o as_o well_o as_o to_o be_v account_v christian_n that_o they_o shall_v have_v a_o eye_n to_o their_o servant_n in_o the_o keep_n of_o the_o sabbath_n even_o as_o one_o the_o week_n day_n they_o will_v call_v they_o up_o and_o see_v that_o they_o be_v ready_a to_o their_o business_n so_o on_o the_o sabbath_n call_v they_o up_o in_o the_o morning_n &_o see_v that_o they_o be_v ready_a for_o the_o work_n of_o god_n especial_o since_o the_o work_n of_o their_o call_n be_v such_o as_o they_o may_v do_v without_o any_o great_a preparation_n a_o man_n may_v rise_v out_o of_o his_o bed_n and_o go_v straight_o and_o hold_v the_o plough_n or_o drive_v the_o cart_n as_o well_o as_o if_o he_o have_v a_o hour_n consideration_n but_o unless_o one_o have_v sometime_o to_o disburden_v his_o hart_n of_o worldly_a thought_n and_o to_o fit_v himself_o by_o prayer_n &_o holy_a till_o the_o end_n that_o they_o may_v have_v the_o whole_a fruit_n and_o not_o as_o some_o do_v be_v go_v before_o the_o sermon_n end_n or_o at_o least_o run_v away_o before_o the_o prayer_n be_v such_o as_o have_v a_o pure_a and_o a_o upright_a hart_n and_o this_o that_o man_n be_v so_o quick_o move_v from_o the_o truth_n be_v not_o because_o of_o the_o strength_n of_o the_o argument_n make_v against_o it_o but_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o own_o weakness_n which_o have_v not_o the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n to_o lead_v they_o into_o the_o truth_n and_o to_o confirm_v and_o show_v they_o error_n and_o heresy_n and_o make_v they_o loathsome_a unto_o they_o and_o give_v they_o power_n against_o they_o therefore_o we_o must_v labour_v for_o this_o spirit_n of_o truth_n which_o may_v so_o settle_v and_o ground_v we_o in_o the_o truth_n as_o that_o every_o storm_n of_o a_o false_a opinion_n from_o the_o mouth_n of_o some_o fantastical_a and_o vain_a person_n that_o have_v no_o godliness_n nor_o learning_n to_o commend_v he_o that_o never_o do_v any_o thing_n nor_o suffer_v any_o thing_n for_o christ_n sake_n may_v not_o weaken_v our_o hold_n and_o shake_v our_o foundation_n and_o cast_v we_o down_o from_o the_o truth_n that_o we_o shall_v be_v seduce_v by_o they_o nay_o we_o shall_v be_v so_o far_o from_o yield_v to_o the_o false_a dream_n of_o such_o as_o that_o when_o they_o grow_v obstinate_a we_o shall_v not_o show_v the_o least_o token_n of_o allowance_n or_o any_o countenance_n to_o they_o we_o shall_v not_o entertain_v they_o or_o receive_v they_o to_o house_n or_o bid_v they_o god_n speed_n for_o he_o that_o do_v so_o as_o saint_n john_n say_v be_v partaker_n of_o his_o evil_a deed_n because_o in_o so_o do_v he_o confirm_v they_o in_o their_o sin_n &_o can_v tarry_v till_o after_o since_o than_o we_o be_v so_o subject_a to_o destruction_n and_o so_o soon_o to_o forget_v thing_n that_o if_o we_o have_v have_v a_o care_n before_o may_v have_v be_v do_v well_o without_o any_o trouble_n in_o the_o sabbath_n but_o now_o through_o our_o negligence_n come_v upon_o we_o on_o that_o day_n this_o must_v teach_v we_o to_o have_v a_o heavenly_a market_n and_o what_o they_o must_v carry_v to_o the_o market_n and_o will_v not_o have_v the_o thing_n to_o be_v in_o do_v when_o they_o shall_v have_v they_o ready_a to_o carry_v with_o they_o but_o look_v that_o the_o thing_n they_o purpose_v to_o sell_v be_v prepare_v that_o so_o they_o may_v not_o be_v hinder_v but_o be_v there_o in_o good_a time_n to_o make_v their_o market_n for_o their_o &_o profitable_o spend_v the_o lord_n day_n in_o the_o lord_n work_v then_o again_o beside_o these_o needless_a let_n which_o through_o our_o own_o weakness_n we_o pull_v upon_o our_o own_o head_n therbe_n hindrance_n enough_o on_o every_o side_n which_o do_v we_o what_o we_o can_v with_o all_o the_o industry_n in_o the_o world_n we_o shall_v never_o be_v able_a whole_o to_o prevent_v but_o grace_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n wrought_v in_o he_o do_v but_o up_o some_o covetous_a talk_n that_o tend_v towards_o gain_n and_o filthy_a lucre_n see_v if_o he_o will_v not_o be_v quite_o go_v and_o forget_v god_n and_o the_o sabbath_n and_o himself_o and_o all_o give_v his_o hart_n and_o tongue_n and_o all_o to_o be_v employ_v about_o worldly_a thing_n unless_o he_o mound_n and_o fence_v his_o hart_n about_o diligent_o with_o these_o thought_n what_o though_o i_o do_v have_v not_o god_n bid_v i_o remember_v the_o sabbath_n have_v he_o not_o set_v a_o special_a mark_n upon_o it_o that_o i_o shall_v in_o no_o hand_n forget_v &_o thus_o by_o earnest_n strive_v shake_v of_o these_o untimely_a word_n &_o thought_n and_o then_o we_o shall_v have_v the_o world_n be_v object_v and_o put_v in_o it_o carnal_a reason_n to_o make_v we_o negligent_a why_o what_o need_v you_o be_v so_o strict_a this_o be_v to_o much_o niceness_n you_o be_v more_o precise_a than_o wise_a and_o such_o like_a which_o will_v certain_o carry_v one_o away_o unless_o he_o strive_v to_o confirm_v himself_o by_o think_v on_o god_n commandment_n and_o so_o shut_v out_o these_o objection_n what_o have_v not_o god_n bid_v i_o remember_v and_o shall_v i_o suffer_v man_n to_o make_v i_o forget_v it_o have_v not_o he_o give_v i_o two_o reason_n to_o keep_v it_o the_o one_o strong_a than_o the_o jew_n have_v and_o shall_v i_o be_v more_o negligent_a in_o keep_v it_o than_o they_o which_o have_v but_o one_o they_o have_v weak_a mean_n of_o comfort_n the_o blood_n of_o bull_n and_o goat_n &_o the_o sprinkle_n of_o water_n and_o a_o earthly_a tabernacle_n and_o high_a priest_n and_o yet_o they_o be_v with_o reverence_n to_o use_v these_o and_o shall_v we_o that_o have_v more_o excellent_a mean_n as_o christ_n jesus_n offer_v up_o for_o a_o sacrifice_n offer_v up_o once_o for_o all_o and_o the_o sprinkle_n of_o his_o blood_n to_o purify_v our_o soul_n and_o the_o heavenly_a tabernacle_n open_v for_o we_o by_o he_o our_o heavenly_a high_a priest_n and_o continual_a mediator_n shall_v we_o i_o say_v that_o have_v all_o these_o mean_n more_o plain_a &_o excellent_a than_o they_o be_v negligent_a to_o keep_v this_o sabbath_n especial_o since_o god_n have_v give_v we_o this_o as_o a_o mean_n to_o draw_v we_o from_o earth_n to_o heaven_n and_o to_o make_v we_o grow_v in_o a_o spiritual_a life_n have_v then_o all_o these_o impediment_n unless_o we_o do_v arm_v ourselves_o in_o the_o week_n day_n and_o strengthen_v our_o faith_n by_o remember_v god_n commandment_n &_o reason_n &_o by_o a_o wise_a cut_n of_o those_o distraction_n which_o by_o diligence_n may_v be_v cut_v of_o we_o can_v with_o any_o comfort_n or_o cheerful_o celebrate_v a_o sabbath_n unto_o the_o serve_v first_o to_o confute_v those_o that_o make_v this_o kind_n of_o objection_n against_o the_o sabbath_n oh_o we_o can_v keep_v it_o we_o shall_v be_v undo_v if_o we_o shall_v rest_v upon_o the_o sabbath_n day_n for_o these_o loss_n and_o damage_n will_v ensue_v these_o hurt_n will_v come_v such_o business_n will_v be_v leave_v undo_v but_o i_o pray_v you_o whence_o come_v all_o these_o loss_n what_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o these_o damage_n be_v it_o not_o because_o you_o forget_v the_o very_a first_o word_n of_o the_o commandment_n remember_v the_o sabbath_n day_n then_o this_o be_v no_o

shall_v have_v remember_v it_o and_o not_o come_v to_o make_v such_o shift_n and_o even_o so_o man_n deal_v with_o god_n oh_o they_o can_v choose_v but_o break_v the_o sabbath_n they_o be_v drive_v to_o it_o of_o force_n necessity_n compel_v they_o and_o what_o necessity_n why_o such_o thing_n lie_v to_o be_v do_v that_o will_v be_v spoil_v else_o why_o but_o why_o do_v you_o forget_v they_o before_o now_o shall_v your_o former_a forgetfulness_n be_v a_o warrant_n for_o you_o to_o steal_v god_n holy_a time_n and_o abuse_v it_o to_o unholy_a thing_n some_o have_v a_o bond_n to_o pay_v that_o will_v be_v forfeit_v else_o and_o why_o do_v you_o not_o remember_v before_o to_o make_v your_o condition_n with_o such_o a_o exception_n unless_o it_o be_v on_o the_o sabbath_n and_o then_o tedious_a and_o irksome_a to_o spend_v that_o day_n holy_a that_o they_o can_v endure_v it_o and_o why_o be_v it_o tedious_a to_o you_o be_v it_o not_o because_o you_o prepare_v not_o your_o soul_n to_o keep_v it_o you_o let_v sin_n keep_v dominion_n in_o your_o hart_n all_o the_o week_n and_o then_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v dull_a and_o dead_a to_o all_o goodness_n on_o the_o seven_o day_n but_o those_o that_o do_v labour_n to_o walk_v uprightlie_o &_o pure_o before_o god_n six_o day_n find_v such_o comfort_n thereby_o as_o no_o outward_a pleasure_n can_v bring_v nor_o any_o thing_n in_o this_o world_n but_o only_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n can_v afford_v second_o this_o teach_v we_o to_o lay_v as_o a_o duty_n every_o one_o upon_o his_o own_o conscience_n to_o remember_v this_o day_n &_o in_o all_o our_o affair_n to_o have_v this_o in_o our_o mind_n that_o we_o entangle_v not_o ourselves_o by_o any_o business_n which_o may_v hinder_v we_o from_o keep_v of_o it_o first_o because_o we_o have_v so_o direct_a a_o item_n as_o we_o call_v it_o to_o remember_v this_o day_n second_o because_o whereas_o god_n content_v himself_o in_o all_o the_o other_o commandment_n to_o set_v they_o down_o either_o only_a affirmative_o or_o only_o negativelie_a he_o have_v not_o do_v so_o in_o this_o commandment_n but_o to_o set_v the_o deep_a impression_n in_o our_o heart_n have_v set_v it_o down_o both_o affirmativelie_a and_o negative_o keep_v it_o holy_a say_v he_o and_o as_o though_o that_o be_v not_o enough_o do_v no_o manner_n of_o work_n in_o it_o and_o then_o whereas_o other_o of_o the_o commandment_n for_o the_o most_o part_n have_v no_o reason_n annex_v to_o they_o in_o the_o decalogue_n though_o in_o the_o scripture_n else_o where_o they_o have_v this_o and_o the_o second_o commandment_n have_v diverse_a reason_n add_v unto_o they_o that_o man_n may_v have_v a_o great_a regard_n unto_o it_o therefore_o if_o we_o will_v do_v any_o thing_n for_o god_n sake_n then_o do_v this_o for_o his_o sake_n if_o a_o friend_n shall_v come_v to_o we_o and_o say_v i_o have_v some_o ten_o errand_n which_o i_o will_v have_v you_o do_v for_o i_o and_o i_o will_v insist_v upon_o that_o and_o give_v he_o reason_n upon_o reason_n why_o he_o shall_v have_v a_o special_a care_n of_o it_o but_o so_o god_n say_v to_o we_o he_o give_v we_o warn_v before_o show_v that_o we_o be_v ready_a to_o forget_v it_o but_o he_o will_v have_v we_o strive_v against_o this_o forgetfulness_n and_o then_o because_o we_o shall_v not_o forget_v but_o do_v it_o he_o urge_v it_o with_o many_o reason_n now_o then_o to_o forget_v this_o be_v it_o not_o a_o plain_a contempt_n and_o neglect_n it_o follow_v to_o keep_v it_o holy_a now_o the_o lord_n show_v what_o be_v to_o be_v do_v on_o the_o sabbath_n day_n namely_o we_o must_v keep_v it_o holy_a it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o forbear_v our_o own_o work_n and_o so_o to_o keep_v it_o idle_o but_o we_o must_v be_v as_o careful_a to_o do_v god_n work_v and_o so_o to_o keep_v it_o holy_a hence_o than_o we_o learn_v this_o doctrine_n that_o the_o sabbath_n must_v be_v employ_v in_o holy_a exercise_n it_o must_v not_o be_v a_o bare_a rest_n but_o a_o sanctify_a rest_n so_o cease_v from_o worldly_a thing_n as_o that_o we_o be_v take_v up_o in_o heavenly_a thing_n for_o idleness_n be_v a_o sin_n every_o day_n but_o much_o more_o on_o the_o sabbath_n no_o man_n have_v allowance_n in_o god_n word_n to_o spend_v any_o time_n idle_o but_o it_o be_v a_o damnable_a sin_n in_o the_o week_n day_n much_o less_o be_v we_o warrant_v to_o spend_v god_n time_n unprofitablie_o and_o idle_o of_o the_o twain_o it_o be_v better_o leave_v one_o own_o work_n undo_v upon_o one_o own_o day_n permit_v for_o his_o labour_n than_o god_n work_n on_o god_n day_n appoint_v for_o his_o service_n now_o the_o reason_n why_o this_o must_v be_v spend_v only_o in_o holy_a exercise_n be_v take_v from_o the_o ill_a effect_n that_o will_v meditation_n take_v up_o with_o think_v how_o he_o may_v sell_v they_o for_o most_o gain_n he_o break_v the_o sabbath_n he_o serve_v not_o god_n but_o himself_o and_o though_o man_n can_v indite_v he_o for_o the_o very_a action_n yet_o god_n will_v find_v he_o out_o and_o plague_v he_o for_o the_o ill_a affection_n and_o so_o much_o for_o the_o thing_n that_o must_v be_v do_v on_o the_o he_o name_v the_o man_n and_o maid_n because_o common_o some_o lucre_n be_v get_v by_o their_o labour_n and_o some_o commodity_n seem_v to_o follow_v if_o they_o follow_v their_o worldly_a business_n man_n be_v slack_a to_o cause_v they_o to_o serve_v god_n but_o will_v be_v content_a they_o shall_v serve_v they_o god_n say_v also_o look_v to_o they_o if_o any_o seruamt_v will_v be_v so_o wicked_a as_o to_o labour_v yet_o thou_o must_v not_o suffer_v he_o receive_v not_o this_o gain_n for_o it_o be_v the_o gain_n of_o wickedness_n and_o therefore_o accurse_v better_o be_v without_o it_o then_o for_o their_o own_o sake_n he_o must_v see_v to_o they_o that_o they_o break_v not_o the_o sabbath_n but_o that_o they_o come_v to_o such_o exercise_n where_o they_o may_v receive_v the_o spirit_n say_v they_o be_v rude_a youth_n and_o will_v break_v out_o from_o we_o we_o can_v keep_v they_o in_o be_v not_o these_o deep_a dissembler_n be_v not_o this_o gross_a hypocrisy_n can_v you_o not_o keep_v they_o in_o who_o keep_v they_o in_o on_o the_o six_o day_n can_v you_o make_v they_o tarry_v at_o home_o then_o can_v you_o set_v they_o to_o their_o business_n and_o not_o suffer_v they_o to_o be_v gad_v yet_o that_o be_v for_o six_o day_n space_n this_o be_v but_o for_o one_o that_o labour_n which_o then_o they_o do_v be_v far_o more_o toilsome_a to_o the_o body_n &_o can_v you_o make_v they_o will_v they_o will_v they_o spend_v six_o whole_a day_n in_o more_o painful_a &_o tedious_a work_n &_o can_v you_o not_o constrain_v they_o to_o keep_v at_o home_n and_o do_v more_o easy_a work_n in_o respect_n of_o bodily_a labour_n and_o that_o but_o for_o one_o whole_a day_n this_o be_v miserable_a shift_a &_o plain_a halt_n these_o excuse_n will_v not_o hold_v before_o god_n he_o will_v show_v you_o that_o you_o have_v make_v as_o much_o account_n of_o serve_v his_o honour_n and_o glory_n and_o obey_v his_o commandment_n as_o you_o do_v of_o serve_v your_o own_o filthy_a covetous_a lust_n and_o obey_v the_o devil_n if_o his_o name_n have_v be_v as_o dear_a to_o you_o as_o gain_v you_o may_v with_o as_o much_o ease_n cause_v your_o servant_n to_o spend_v the_o seven_o day_n in_o his_o service_n to_o his_o glory_n as_o six_o before_o it_o in_o your_o own_o service_n to_o your_o profit_n but_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o youth_n be_v so_o rude_a be_v it_o not_o because_o they_o have_v learn_v it_o of_o age_n why_o be_v inferior_n so_o profane_a but_o because_o they_o follow_v the_o pattern_n and_o tread_v in_o the_o step_n of_o their_o superior_n how_o come_v the_o branch_n to_o bring_v such_o ill_a fruit_n but_o that_o the_o root_n have_v no_o better_a sap_n for_o if_o the_o servant_n may_v but_o see_v so_o much_o love_n of_o god_n and_o care_n of_o keep_v god_n commandment_n appear_v in_o the_o conversation_n of_o their_o master_n and_o dame_n as_o they_o see_v of_o the_o world_n and_o eagerness_n after_o lucre_n they_o will_v at_o least_o for_o outward_a show_n be_v better_a but_o now_o that_o they_o see_v their_o master_n and_o know_v his_o disposition_n they_o frame_v themselves_o thereafter_o to_o serve_v he_o in_o his_o covetous_a vanity_n when_o he_o come_v home_o his_o master_n will_v be_v upon_o his_o back_n his_o dame_n will_v have_v a_o say_n to_o he_o he_o shall_v be_v so_o bait_v with_o rebuke_n and_o chide_v as_o if_o it_o be_v a_o bear_n with_o dog_n so_o that_o though_o he_o have_v a_o good_a mind_n to_o be_v abroad_o and_o have_v no_o great_a hart_n to_o stand_v sweat_v at_o his_o business_n yet_o miserable_a fear_n will_v make_v he_o tarry_v at_o home_n rather_o than_o he_o will_v endure_v the_o sharp_a sauce_n that_o must_v come_v after_o and_o be_v chide_v thus_o again_o he_o will_v keep_v within_o door_n but_o let_v he_o be_v where_o he_o will_v and_o do_v what_o he_o will_v upon_o the_o

from_o give_v such_o ill_a example_n for_o though_o it_o seem_v at_o first_o a_o small_a thing_n to_o suffer_v a_o stranger_n let_v he_o do_v what_o he_o listen_v it_o pertain_v not_o to_o we_o yet_o it_o be_v dangerous_a for_o our_o nature_n be_v so_o subject_a to_o infection_n and_o we_o so_o easy_o draw_v to_o evil_a that_o if_o one_o suffer_v a_o stranger_n at_o length_n his_o child_n and_o servant_n will_v learn_v and_o come_v after_o to_o do_v the_o same_o thing_n so_o that_o for_o our_o own_o sake_n we_o must_v be_v diligent_a to_o cut_v of_o occasion_n and_o wary_o prevent_v danger_n for_o one_o house_n on_o fire_n may_v burn_v the_o whole_a town_n and_o if_o a_o stranger_n will_v buy_v a_o house_n in_o the_o town_n and_o then_o be_v so_o foolish_a to_o set_v it_o on_o fire_n man_n will_v not_o let_v he_o alone_o for_o fear_v it_o shall_v also_o catch_v their_o house_n and_o so_o in_o truth_n if_o the_o fire_n of_o sin_n kindle_v in_o the_o heart_n &_o practice_n of_o a_o stranger_n &_o we_o seek_v not_o to_o quench_v &_o suppress_v it_o it_o will_v not_o tarry_v there_o long_o it_o will_v catch_v some_o in_o the_o congregation_n and_o set_v they_o a_o burn_a to_o therefore_o in_o love_n to_o god_n glory_n to_o our_o brother_n soul_n and_o to_o ourselves_o and_o those_o that_o be_v near_o unto_o we_o we_o must_v labour_v by_o what_o mean_v we_o can_v to_o hinder_v even_o a_o stranger_n from_o break_v the_o sabbath_n now_o if_o one_o must_v hinder_v stranger_n how_o much_o more_o such_o as_o be_v bear_v and_o dwell_v in_o the_o same_o place_n our_o neighbour_n child_n or_o servant_n if_o we_o see_v such_o profane_v the_o sabbath_n we_o shall_v much_o more_o hinder_v they_o by_o admonition_n and_o reproof_n but_o especial_o if_o we_o see_v they_o run_v to_o thing_n that_o be_v simple_o evil_a and_o in_o their_o own_o nature_n at_o all_o time_n unlawful_a therefore_o for_o man_n that_o be_v of_o some_o account_n &_o note_n in_o a_o congregation_n in_o a_o town_n to_o come_v among_o headdie_a youth_n and_o see_v they_o violen_o carry_v to_o dance_v to_o game_n or_o any_o such_o lewdness_n on_o the_o sabbath_n especial_o and_o let_v they_o go_v on_o without_o any_o rebuke_n or_o exhortation_n never_o tell_v they_o of_o it_o never_o dehort_v they_o from_o it_o this_o show_n that_o there_o be_v but_o a_o little_a love_n of_o god_n in_o none_o of_o the_o party_n soul_n and_o that_o they_o have_v little_a regard_n of_o themselves_o and_o their_o own_o family_n but_o in_o truth_n this_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o make_v wickedness_n grow_v so_o fast_o and_o sin_n get_v up_o with_o a_o high_a hand_n and_o youth_n grow_v to_o such_o impudent_a and_o shameless_a boldness_n because_o the_o minister_n fight_v alone_o against_o sin_n none_o else_o will_v open_v his_o mouth_n to_o speak_v against_o it_o or_o discountenance_v it_o he_o that_o will_v not_o stand_v by_o and_o see_v the_o ox_n fall_v into_o the_o ditch_n but_o he_o will_v help_v he_o out_o will_v look_v on_o while_n the_o child_n run_v headlong_o towards_o hell_n and_o say_v not_o a_o word_n to_o reclaim_v they_o this_o remisenesse_n of_o man_n that_o be_v of_o some_o estimation_n in_o the_o town_n make_v proud_a youth_n oft_o time_n so_o audacious_a to_o set_v themselves_o open_o against_o the_o minister_n doctrine_n and_o as_o it_o be_v by_o their_o practice_n in_o the_o heat_n of_o lust_n to_o contrary_v he_o even_o when_o he_o be_v reprove_v any_o sin_n when_o the_o doctrine_n be_v yet_o hot_a and_o the_o sound_n of_o his_o voice_n be_v scarce_o go_v out_o of_o their_o ear_n then_o to_o run_v open_o to_o gainsay_v that_o which_o be_v teach_v in_o the_o church_n so_o soon_o as_o they_o come_v out_o of_o the_o church_n this_o strength_n of_o impiety_n proceed_v hence_o i_o say_v that_o the_o minister_n have_v no_o help_n none_o have_v a_o zeal_n of_o god_n glory_n so_o that_o he_o be_v grieve_v at_o his_o dishonour_n none_o have_v so_o much_o charity_n and_o compassion_n over_o their_o neighbour_n as_o that_o they_o seek_v to_o pull_v they_o out_o of_o the_o danger_n of_o hell_n fire_n for_o if_o but_o two_o or_o three_o or_o some_o more_o of_o the_o ancient_a man_n that_o have_v some_o authority_n and_o sway_n in_o the_o congregation_n will_v join_v their_o hand_n with_o the_o minister_n and_o set_v in_o with_o their_o private_a rebuke_n and_o reproof_n to_o make_v his_o public_a reproof_n forcible_a young_a people_n will_v be_v more_o ashamed_a of_o sin_n and_o learn_v to_o behave_v themselves_o more_o sober_o then_o in_o public_a as_o it_o be_v to_o bid_v battle_n to_o the_o public_a doctrine_n of_o the_o minister_n therefore_o this_o slackness_n and_o coldness_n be_v much_o to_o be_v reprove_v then_o second_o this_o be_v for_o the_o encouragement_n of_o such_o as_o do_v desire_n to_o help_v other_o out_o of_o this_o or_o any_o other_o sin_n they_o may_v bold_o with_o a_o have_v you_o to_o do_v to_o meddle_v yes_o they_o have_v to_o do_v to_o meddle_v they_o have_v to_o love_v they_o they_o have_v to_o love_v the_o congregation_n and_o to_o love_v god_n glory_n &_o therefore_o as_o much_o as_o they_o can_v to_o disgrace_n sin_n for_o though_o sinner_n begin_v to_o set_v sin_n a_o foot_n yet_o if_o some_o godly_a wise_a man_n will_v encounter_v it_o with_o a_o sound_a admonition_n and_o sharp_a rebuke_n that_o will_v dash_v and_o disgrace_v it_o as_o much_o as_o the_o practice_n of_o sinner_n will_v support_v it_o so_o that_o it_o can_v get_v a_o head_n so_o if_o we_o say_v christ_n be_v our_o head_n but_o we_o go_v a_o quite_o contrary_a way_n to_o that_o in_o which_o he_o go_v it_o be_v altogether_o false_a and_o a_o lie_n as_o saint_n john_n say_v but_o if_o christ_n be_v our_o head_n let_v we_o walk_v in_o the_o light_n wherein_o he_o walk_v let_v we_o tread_v in_o his_o step_n of_o meekness_n of_o deny_v the_o world_n and_o of_o place_v our_o joy_n in_o heaven_n and_o those_o virtue_n that_o shine_v in_o he_o let_v they_o appear_v in_o we_o though_o not_o in_o the_o same_o measure_n yet_o in_o the_o same_o manner_n and_o truth_n for_o the_o like_a measure_n be_v impossible_a to_o we_o but_o the_o like_a truth_n and_o uprightness_n be_v not_o only_o possible_a but_o so_o necessary_a that_o without_o it_o we_o can_v have_v no_o assurance_n that_o we_o be_v in_o he_o this_o serve_v likewise_o for_o the_o encouragement_n and_o comfort_n of_o god_n child_n that_o live_v in_o such_o profane_a place_n where_o they_o can_v have_v no_o pattern_n of_o godliness_n in_o man_n nor_o none_o that_o will_v join_v with_o they_o in_o any_o holy_a thing_n as_o it_o often_o time_n fall_v out_o then_o the_o devil_n be_v ready_a to_o object_n against_o they_o and_o to_o hinder_v they_o with_o this_o objection_n from_o go_v on_o what_o will_v you_o be_v singular_a will_v you_o be_v one_o alone_o without_o any_o example_n no_o they_o be_v not_o without_o example_n but_o they_o follow_v the_o best_a example_n even_o the_o example_n of_o god_n and_o it_o be_v far_o better_a to_o be_v lead_v by_o his_o example_n to_o heaven_n though_o foolish_a man_n mock_v they_o then_o by_o the_o example_n man_n to_o be_v draw_v to_o hell_n and_o have_v god_n to_o plague_v they_o his_o one_o example_n shall_v more_o encourage_v and_o strengthen_v we_o than_o all_o their_o contrary_a practice_n discourage_v or_o fear_v us._n o_o will_v you_o keep_v the_o sabbath_n so_o strict_o that_o you_o will_v not_o play_v among_o your_o neighbour_n &_o do_v as_o every_o body_n do_v they_o will_v mock_v you_o and_o hate_v you_o and_o count_v you_o more_o precise_a than_o wise_a well_o if_o they_o do_v yet_o a_o christian_n may_v small_a mean_n the_o make_n of_o the_o world_n one_o will_v think_v need_v some_o good_a time_n for_o the_o thing_n itself_o and_o some_o thing_n also_o for_o the_o preparation_n of_o so_o long_a a_o building_n but_o when_o god_n will_v be_v the_o workman_n and_o take_v in_o hand_n so_o great_a a_o matter_n what_o time_n take_v he_o to_o finish_v it_o he_o begin_v and_o end_v it_o and_o all_o within_o the_o compass_n of_o six_o day_n and_o leave_v not_o the_o least_o creature_n unmake_v till_o the_o seven_o &_o he_o take_v so_o long_a time_n not_o because_o he_o need_v such_o a_o space_n for_o he_o can_v have_v do_v it_o with_o as_o much_o ease_n in_o a_o hour_n yea_o in_o a_o minute_n as_o in_o these_o six_o day_n but_o he_o have_v divide_v the_o whole_a into_o six_o day_n work_n because_o we_o may_v have_v a_o fit_a occasion_n and_o be_v better_o move_v to_o consider_v of_o every_o one_o for_o if_o he_o have_v fold_v up_o altogether_o as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o compass_n of_o a_o hour_n than_o it_o have_v not_o be_v so_o fit_a and_o easy_a for_o our_o meditation_n in_o this_o then_o we_o general_o see_v what_o wonderful_a work_n &_o great_a thing_n god_n can_v bring_v to_o pass_v in_o a_o very_a small_a time_n and_o with_o very_o small_a mean_n if_o the_o power_n of_o they_o be_v judge_v according_a to_o humane_a reason_n for_o he_o speak_v as_o the_o psal_n say_v and_o it_o be_v do_v he_o will_v it_o and_o without_o any_o more_o ado_n it_o be_v effect_v this_o we_o see_v likewise_o by_o other_o example_n in_o scripture_n as_o nebucadnezar_n the_o mighty_a prince_n and_o monarch_n of_o the_o world_n when_o he_o be_v walk_v in_o his_o princely_a palace_n in_o that_o great_a city_n of_o babel_n which_o be_v the_o seat_n of_o his_o kingdom_n yet_o how_o quick_o be_v strip_v from_o all_o how_o soon_o deprive_v of_o his_o kingdom_n so_o that_o he_o have_v not_o so_o much_o as_o a_o house_n yea_o a_o poor_a cottage_n to_o put_v his_o head_n into_o nay_o not_o one_o rag_n to_o cover_v his_o nakedness_n not_o a_o dish_n to_o drink_v in_o not_o a_o morsel_n of_o the_o cource_a bread_n to_o eat_v but_o of_o a_o king_n become_v more_o miserable_a than_o the_o base_a beggar_n under_o the_o sky_n yea_o as_o miserable_a as_o a_o beast_n so_o that_o from_o the_o high_a top_n of_o prosperity_n he_o be_v cast_v down_o to_o the_o extremity_n of_o misery_n and_o then_o when_o he_o be_v at_o worst_a his_o wit_n and_o reason_n go_v his_o form_n and_o beauty_n depart_v and_o he_o a_o misshape_a creature_n his_o hair_n be_v grow_v like_o eagle_n feather_n and_o his_o nail_n like_o bird_n claw_n altogether_o deform_v not_o like_o a_o man_n now_o and_o his_o kingdom_n possess_v by_o a_o other_o for_o seven_o year_n space_n yet_o so_o soon_o as_o he_o look_v up_o into_o heaven_n his_o wit_n and_o discretion_n be_v restore_v his_o beauty_n and_o fashion_n renew_v and_o he_o place_v in_o his_o kingdom_n with_o as_o full_a power_n and_o authority_n as_o ever_o before_o both_o these_o wonderful_a alteration_n in_o how_o little_a a_o time_n be_v they_o wrought_v when_o god_n take_v in_o hand_n to_o work_v they_o so_o in_o egypt_n god_n take_v in_o must_v be_v spend_v both_o morning_n night_n and_o all_o the_o day_n in_o holy_a duty_n one_o must_v forbear_v worldly_a business_n yea_o worldly_a thought_n the_o whole_a four_o &_o and_z twenty_o speak_v to_o he_o in_o public_a so_o to_o speak_v to_o he_o out_o of_o our_o heart_n in_o private_a &_o not_o to_o give_v ourselves_o leave_v to_o think_v the_o least_o thought_n of_o any_o worldly_a the_o keep_n of_o all_o the_o commandment_n follow_v do_v depend_v on_o the_o keep_n of_o the_o first_o commandment_n of_o the_o table_n so_o here_o if_o this_o first_o commandment_n be_v well_o observe_v both_o of_o governor_n and_o inferior_n there_o can_v be_v no_o disorder_n against_o any_o other_o of_o the_o commandment_n follow_v for_o all_o disorder_n in_o the_o other_o commandment_n that_o no_o man_n can_v in_o reverence_n either_o crave_v advice_n from_o they_o or_o be_v silent_a to_o hear_v such_o foolish_a and_o unsaverie_a talk_n as_o customable_o come_v from_o they_o and_o their_o conversation_n full_a of_o testinesse_n and_o unaduised_a wrath_n and_o bloat_v with_o miserable_a and_o abject_a covetousness_n and_o greediness_n that_o they_o be_v always_o smell_v earthward_o and_o pursue_v the_o world_n swift_o when_o they_o can_v scarce_o go_v up_o and_o down_o in_o the_o world_n no_o grace_n no_o wisdom_n nor_o any_o virtue_n bewtifi_v their_o grey_a hair_n good_a hope_n and_o a_o good_a faith_n they_o hope_v to_o be_v save_v as_o well_o as_o the_o best_a if_o one_o will_v believe_v they_o and_o if_o you_o will_v not_o believe_v they_o they_o take_v as_o leave_v to_o kindle_v contention_n again_o but_o a_o day_n or_o two_o after_o they_o be_v as_o crafty_a as_o brawl_v as_o full_a of_o cozen_v &_o deceitfulness_n as_o ever_o before_o than_o one_o may_v bold_o say_v you_o have_v pollute_v the_o holy_a sacrament_n you_o have_v defile_v the_o table_n of_o the_o lord_n you_o come_v to_o it_o without_o faith_n or_o repentance_n oh_o but_o you_o must_v not_o judge_v yes_o now_o the_o case_n be_v so_o clear_a a_o man_n may_v judge_v for_o certain_o if_o one_o come_v with_o repentance_n to_o the_o sacrament_n he_o shall_v go_v with_o repentance_n from_o the_o sacrament_n &_o if_o one_o come_v a_o good_a man_n thither_o it_o will_v make_v he_o better_o than_o he_o be_v for_o god_n will_v always_o keep_v his_o promise_n and_o if_o one_o come_v as_o he_o command_v he_o shall_v find_v his_o sin_n kill_v and_o he_o will_v not_o have_v fall_v to_o his_o old_a course_n so_o soon_o again_o nor_o return_v to_o his_o filthy_a vomit_n if_o he_o have_v feed_v of_o the_o holy_a and_o pure_a bread_n of_o life_n jesus_n christ_n with_o a_o heart_n purge_v by_o faith_n and_o repentance_n and_o therefore_o though_o no_o man_n must_v suspect_v without_o good_a ground_n yet_o a_o man_n where_o there_o be_v just_a cause_n ought_v to_o pronounce_v just_a judgement_n thus_o much_o for_o the_o first_o which_o be_v the_o most_o secret_a and_o inward_a breach_n of_o this_o commandment_n now_o the_o outward_a follow_v which_o be_v either_o without_o speech_n or_o with_o speech_n without_o speech_n either_o by_o gesture_n or_o silence_n by_o gesture_n when_o one_o carry_v himself_o reproachful_o to_o his_o brother_n and_o use_v such_o a_o kind_n of_o behaviour_n as_o tend_v to_o vilify_v mock_v and_o disgrace_v he_o this_o psalm_n silence_n when_o one_o hold_v his_o peace_n when_o he_o hear_v his_o neighbour_n slander_v he_o stand_v by_o and_o can_v testify_v of_o his_o own_o knowledge_n that_o the_o thing_n speak_v be_v false_a and_o lie_a and_o yet_o either_o in_o flattery_n or_o fear_n of_o displease_v let_v all_o alone_a and_o do_v not_o speak_v that_o he_o know_v to_o defend_v
