take_v for_o his_o son_n and_o have_v none_o other_o mean_n leave_v but_o to_o fly_v to_o his_o mercy_n he_o beseech_v he_o to_o take_v pity_n and_o compassion_n upon_o he_o and_o to_o grant_v he_o this_o grace_n that_o he_o will_v receive_v he_o into_o his_o house_n if_o not_o as_o his_o child_n yet_o at_o least_o as_o one_o of_o his_o hire_a servant_n acknowledge_v with_o david_n that_o the_o condition_n of_o the_o poor_a porter_n of_o god_n house_n be_v far_o more_o bless_v and_o honourable_a then_o 84._o ps_n 84._o that_o of_o the_o great_a monarch_n of_o the_o earth_n which_o be_v without_o the_o church_n thus_o do_v this_o poor_a prodigal_a child_n that_o he_o may_v escape_v out_o of_o that_o woeful_a misery_n into_o which_o he_o be_v fall_v and_o that_o he_o may_v recover_v better_o incline_v to_o receyve_v he_o not_o as_o a_o servant_n but_o as_o a_o son_n than_o he_o dare_v desire_v in_o like_a manner_n you_o see_v that_o the_o true_a and_o only_o mean_v to_o obtain_v grace_n and_o mercy_n at_o the_o lord_n hand_n be_v true_a repentance_n a_o true_a faith_n and_o true_a amendment_n lo_o then_o my_o brethren_n what_o course_n you_o must_v observe_v lo_o here_o the_o way_n which_o you_o must_v follow_v lo_o here_o the_o gate_n whereby_o you_o must_v enter_v in_o unto_o the_o lord_n to_o obtain_v his_o favour_n but_o mark_v well_o the_o band_n and_o conjunction_n of_o these_o thing_n which_o can_v be_v answer_v for_o deceive_v not_o yourselves_o unless_o you_o amend_v your_o fault_n you_o may_v well_o say_v that_o you_o acknowledge_v it_o that_o you_o be_v grieve_v at_o it_o that_o you_o condemn_v it_o &_o that_o you_o count_v it_o so_o grievous_a and_o so_o monstrous_a as_o that_o it_o deserve_v a_o thousand_o death_n and_o a_o thousand_o hell_n if_o there_o be_v so_o many_o yet_o all_o this_o be_v nothing_o but_o mere_a hypocrisy_n and_o mock_v of_o god_n and_o man_n in_o like_a manner_n if_o you_o say_v that_o you_o have_v a_o true_a and_o certain_a assurance_n in_o the_o goodness_n &_o mercy_n of_o god_n 20._o exod._n 20._o that_o he_o will_v take_v pity_n upon_o you_o and_o will_v give_v you_o grace_n to_o return_v to_o his_o church_n that_o also_o shall_v be_v nothing_o but_o a_o false_a and_o perverse_a persuasion_n and_o rather_o a_o carnal_a assurance_n and_o confidence_n than_o a_o true_a faith_n to_o be_v short_a all_o that_o shall_v be_v nothing_o but_o a_o mere_a mockery_n of_o god_n and_o a_o abuse_n of_o his_o patience_n and_o consequent_o a_o mean_n to_o inflame_v his_o anger_n so_o much_o the_o more_fw-it against_o you_o if_o there_o withal_o you_o show_v not_o in_o effect_n that_o you_o do_v true_o repent_v and_o that_o your_o faith_n be_v free_a from_o all_o dissimulation_n and_o hypocrisy_n this_o effect_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o ready_a change_n &_o amendment_n whereunto_o you_o be_v exhort_v in_o the_o name_n of_o god_n for_o execution_n whereof_o we_o need_v not_o here_o stand_v upon_o particular_n you_o know_v my_o meaning_n well_o enough_o there_o remain_v nothing_o for_o you_o to_o do_v but_o to_o have_v a_o good_a and_o fréewil_n proceed_v from_o a_o true_a zeal_n of_o god_n and_o from_o a_o fervent_a desire_n of_o your_o salvation_n couple_v with_o a_o holy_a affection_n to_o advance_v the_o kingdom_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o to_o edify_v his_o church_n if_o the_o very_a same_o occasion_n which_o make_v you_o fall_v do_v now_o present_v themselves_o before_o your_o eye_n and_o keep_v you_o from_o amend_v and_o redress_v your_o offence_n whether_o it_o be_v in_o regard_n of_o
