short_a god_n will_v be_v merciful_a to_o we_o and_o gracious_o accept_v the_o will_n for_o the_o deed._n and_o this_o be_v the_o least_o that_o god_n will_v accept_v be_v not_o therefore_o slothful_a in_o this_o great_a business_n but_o apply_v yourselves_o constant_o to_o your_o work_n and_o whatsoever_o your_o hand_n find_v to_o do_v do_v it_o with_o all_o your_o might_n i_o may_v tell_v you_o that_o the_o nature_n and_o design_n of_o our_o work_n require_v this_o that_o the_o name_n by_o which_o we_o be_v in_o scripture_n signify_v as_o steward_n minister_n shepherd_n watchmen_z labourer_n do_v all_o import_n diligence_n and_o industry_n that_o the_o work_n be_v of_o all_o other_o the_o most_o excellent_a worthy_a of_o all_o the_o pain_n we_o can_v lay_v out_o upon_o it_o i_o may_v set_v before_o you_o the_o example_n of_o our_o bless_a saviour_n and_o his_o apostle_n of_o all_o those_o faithful_a pastor_n who_o have_v go_v before_o we_o but_o i_o shall_v only_o add_v for_o your_o encouragement_n that_o your_o recompense_n from_o god_n will_v be_v proportionable_a to_o your_o labour_n by_o how_o much_o the_o more_o abundant_a you_o be_v in_o this_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n by_o so_o much_o the_o more_o abundant_a will_v your_o reward_n in_o heaven_n be_v but_o to_o proceed_v in_o the_o next_o place_n you_o promise_v these_o two_o thing_n in_o the_o general_a i._o that_o you_o will_v be_v ready_a with_o all_o faithful_a diligence_n to_o banish_v and_o drive_v away_o all_o erroneous_a and_o strange_a doctrine_n contrary_a to_o god_n word_n ii_o to_o use_v both_o public_a and_o private_a monition_n and_o exhortation_n as_o well_o to_o the_o sick_a as_o to_o the_o whole_a within_o your_o cure_n as_o need_n shall_v require_v and_o occasion_n shall_v be_v give_v first_o that_o you_o will_v be_v ready_a with_o all_o faithful_a diligence_n to_o banish_v and_o drive_v away_o all_o erroneous_a and_o strange_a doctrine_n contrary_a to_o god_n word_n concern_v which_o observe_v 1._o that_o the_o erroneous_a doctrine_n here_o mean_v be_v those_o only_a which_o your_o people_n some_o of_o they_o at_o least_o be_v already_o infect_v with_o for_o no_o error_n can_v be_v banish_v from_o they_o but_o those_o which_o they_o have_v give_v entertainment_n to_o as_o for_o other_o error_n which_o they_o know_v nothing_o of_o never_o so_o much_o as_o mention_v they_o lest_o by_o acquaint_v your_o people_n therewith_o you_o may_v endanger_v their_o be_v ensnare_v by_o they_o observe_v 2._o that_o though_o all_o erroneous_a doctrine_n be_v with_o faithful_a diligence_n yet_o not_o all_o with_o equal_a diligence_n to_o be_v oppose_v but_o as_o the_o error_n be_v more_o or_o less_o mischievous_a so_o our_o zeal_n against_o they_o ought_v in_o proportion_n to_o be_v more_o or_o less_o some_o error_n there_o be_v which_o do_v not_o touch_v any_o part_n of_o the_o foundation_n which_o have_v no_o visible_a tendency_n to_o a_o evil_a life_n or_o to_o the_o disturbance_n of_o the_o peace_n of_o the_o church_n other_o there_o be_v which_o oppose_v some_o article_n of_o our_o creed_n as_o that_o christ_n be_v not_o the_o eternal_a son_n of_o god_n beget_v of_o the_o father_n before_o all_o world_n etc._n etc._n and_o which_o be_v inconsistent_a with_o peace_n and_o holiness_n the_o former_a sort_n do_v not_o deserve_v to_o be_v oppose_v with_o so_o
