and_o ungodly_a abuse_v this_o grace_n and_o love_n of_o god_n who_o have_v manifest_v himself_o in_o his_o holy_a word_n that_o you_o may_v come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o he_o and_o so_o to_o salvation_n and_o do_v not_o you_o think_v it_o a_o most_o grievous_a sin_n to_o live_v as_o many_o of_o you_o do_v as_o void_a of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o he_o as_o those_o that_o never_o hear_v of_o his_o write_a word_n it_o be_v a_o most_o unthankful_a abuse_n of_o his_o goodness_n o_o where_o will_v such_o man_n be_v glad_a to_o hide_v themselves_o at_o the_o great_a day_n even_o under_o a_o rock_n if_o they_o do_v know_v how_o to_o get_v under_o it_o and_o as_o for_o many_o of_o those_o that_o can_v choose_v but_o know_v something_o of_o god_n how_o unanswerable_a to_o that_o little_a knowledge_n that_o they_o have_v do_v they_o walk_v neither_o love_v nor_o fear_v his_o great_a name_n have_v no_o respect_n at_o all_o to_o his_o worship_n nor_o to_o any_o of_o his_o commandment_n nor_o trust_v in_o he_o at_o all_o no_o more_o than_o if_o he_o have_v never_o make_v they_o any_o promise_n belove_a how_o evident_a be_v these_o thing_n notwithstanding_o all_o that_o god_n have_v make_v know_v of_o himself_o unto_o man_n yet_o how_o little_a love_n have_v they_o for_o he_o and_o how_o little_a zeal_n for_o his_o glory_n love_a pleasure_n profit_n yea_o sin_n itself_o better_a than_o god_n fear_v the_o frown_n of_o man_n more_o than_o the_o displeasure_n of_o he_o and_o trust_v in_o the_o promise_n of_o their_o honest_a neighbour_n yea_o in_o a_o little_a dirty_a wealth_n remissiion_n of_o sin_n and_o i_o know_v i_o may_v look_v to_o the_o free_a grace_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n for_o grace_n as_o well_o as_o for_o glory_n and_o also_o for_o all_o other_o thing_n my_o that_o god_n be_v a_o god_n of_o justice_n wisdom_n power_n truth_n mercy_n invisible_a eternal_a unchangeable_a one_o that_o know_v the_o heart_n and_o the_o reins_n and_o the_o like_a and_o that_o jesus_n christ_n have_v die_v for_o sinner_n and_o that_o we_o be_v bind_v to_o live_v to_o he_o that_o die_v for_o we_o and_o that_o he_o come_v to_o call_v sinner_n to_o repentance_n and_o that_o those_o that_o believe_v and_o obey_v the_o gospel_n shall_v have_v eternal_a life_n these_o truth_n be_v very_o plain_a but_o although_o they_o be_v so_o yet_o evident_a it_o be_v that_o the_o great_a number_n among_o we_o be_v ignorant_a of_o these_o thing_n altogether_o but_o further_o this_o add_v to_o the_o sin_n that_o there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o mean_n now_o more_o than_o have_v be_v former_o to_o bring_v man_n to_o knowledge_n and_o it_o be_v altogether_o neglect_v or_o else_o hearken_v to_o so_o careless_o that_o the_o word_n be_v preach_v to_o the_o most_o of_o man_n altogether_o in_o vain_a i_o be_o persuade_v that_o if_o there_o be_v never_o a_o word_n of_o god_n write_v at_o all_o nor_o any_o other_o mean_v to_o know_v the_o lord_n by_o leave_v we_o but_o only_o the_o work_n of_o creation_n and_o providence_n if_o that_o these_o work_n of_o his_o be_v humble_o and_o wise_o consider_v of_o they_o will_v reveal_v more_o of_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n than_o the_o most_o part_n among_o we_o do_v know_v notwithstanding_o the_o light_n of_o the_o glorious_a gospel_n of_o christ_n shine_v a_o among_o we_o o_o therefore_o consider_v you_o that_o be_v ignorant_a of_o god_n how_o inexcusable_a and_o horrible_a your_o sin_n be_v what_o mean_v you_o to_o let_v the_o love_n of_o pleasure_n and_o profit_n sin_n and_o vanity_n eat_v out_o the_o love_n of_o god_n yea_o and_o of_o your_o own_o soul_n to_o o_o how_o will_v you_o appear_v before_o the_o lord_n one_o day_n that_o have_v slight_v the_o knowledge_n of_o he_o well_o let_v we_o pity_v these_o man_n and_o mourn_v for_o they_o if_o we_o can_v persuade_v they_o to_o seek_v after_o god_n i_o be_o afraid_a the_o saint_n do_v not_o with_o jeremiah_n weep_v in_o secret_a for_o these_o man_n nor_o with_o david_n gush_v out_o river_n of_o tear_n for_o the_o sin_n they_o live_v in_o and_o the_o misery_n that_o will_v come_v upon_o they_o o_o let_v we_o pray_v for_o they_o and_o be_v so_o much_o the_o more_o earnest_a by_o how_o much_o they_o be_v less_o sensible_a of_o there_o misery_n use_v 2._o second_o if_o this_o be_v so_o that_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n have_v so_o gracious_a a_o tendency_n to_o bring_v a_o person_n to_o eternal_a life_n then_o be_v sure_a you_o make_v your_o child_n and_o those_o that_o be_v under_o your_o charge_n know_v the_o lord_n beloved_n i_o speak_v to_o those_o that_o know_v he_o themselves_o i_o say_v to_o you_o make_v he_o know_v to_o all_o you_o can_v or_o to_o all_o you_o have_v a_o opportunity_n to_o speak_v to_o let_v your_o child_n and_o servant_n know_v what_o a_o god_n of_o mercy_n he_o be_v yea_o of_o free_a grace_n that_o look_v to_o find_v no_o holiness_n nor_o repentance_n no_o nor_o one_o good_a qualification_n in_o those_o he_o seek_v to_o save_v but_o he_o will_v work_v all_o these_o in_o the_o heart_n of_o those_o that_o come_v unto_o he_o although_o they_o be_v never_o so_o bad_a that_o will_v not_o hinder_v their_o acceptation_n with_o god_n if_o so_o be_v they_o be_v but_o willing_a to_o be_v
believe_v here_o you_o may_v see_v plain_o not_o only_o that_o preach_n save_v man_n soul_n but_o also_o what_o preach_v it_o be_v that_o do_v it_o i_o pray_v you_o note_v it_o well_o you_o may_v see_v the_o cure_n that_o be_v necessary_a for_o salvation_n by_o the_o disease_n that_o hinder_v it_o it_o be_v very_o evident_a the_o world_n disease_n that_o hinder_v their_o salvation_n be_v name_n and_o be_v and_o therefore_o such_o person_n as_o will_v not_o come_v to_o christ_n and_o that_o choose_v darkness_n rather_o than_o light_v and_o turn_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n into_o wantonness_n and_o do_v this_o wilful_o and_o obstinate_o it_o do_v not_o stand_v with_o the_o wisdom_n justice_n and_o sovereignty_n of_o god_n to_o give_v eternal_a life_n to_o these_o person_n but_o if_o person_n do_v not_o wilful_o refuse_v there_o own_o mercy_n there_o be_v that_o grace_n in_o god_n which_o will_n and_o do_v extend_v itself_o wheresoever_o it_o can_v without_o dishonour_n therefore_o a_o foolish_a thing_n to_o fear_v he_o that_o shall_v neither_o live_v to_o reward_v he_o nor_o to_o punish_v he_o second_o he_o shall_v be_v make_v as_o grass_n and_o what_o wise_a man_n will_v fear_v so_o vain_a a_o thing_n as_o grass_n a_o powerless_a creature_n that_o can_v neither_o help_v nor_o hurt_v a_o man_n three_o and_o that_o which_o make_v the_o sin_n very_o great_a be_v this_o that_o while_o a_o man_n fear_v man_n he_o forget_v god_n now_o there_o be_v three_o consideration_n more_o in_o this_o thirteen_o verse_n that_o shall_v keep_v up_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n shall_v proceed_v to_o the_o three_o duty_n and_o that_o be_v dependence_n upon_o this_o only_a true_a god_n beloved_n there_o be_v no_o other_o that_o you_o can_v trust_v in_o but_o in_o he_o you_o may_v trust_v safe_o a_o
man_n can_v never_o be_v disappoint_v by_o trn_v in_o he_o for_o he_o be_v a_o rock_n on_o who_o you_o may_v rest_v with_o full_a assurance_n all_o those_o that_o trust_v in_o he_o shall_v never_o be_v ashamed_a therefore_o trust_v in_o he_o at_o all_o time_n and_o for_o all_o thing_n that_o your_o soul_n stand_v in_o need_n of_o you_o may_v go_v to_o he_o for_o it_o not_o only_o by_o prayer_n but_o also_o by_o dependence_n whatever_o your_o want_n be_v whether_o you_o want_v pardon_v or_o purge_v mercy_n or_o sanctify_a grace_n or_o outward_a thing_n in_o all_o case_n whatsoever_o trust_v perfect_o and_o full_o upon_o he_o without_o fear_n for_o a_o supply_n of_o all_o your_o want_n for_o he_o be_v the_o only_a true_a god_n that_o be_v to_o say_v he_o be_v the_o fullness_n and_o perfection_n of_o all_o power_n wisdom_n mercy_n truth_n and_o goodness_n whatsoever_o and_o one_o that_o can_v no_o more_o disappoint_v the_o soul_n that_o trust_v in_o he_o than_o he_o can_v cease_v follow_v and_o who_o heart_n depart_v from_o the_o lord_n mark_v it_o i_o pray_v you_o when_o a_o man_n depend_v upon_o the_o creature_n for_o any_o thing_n that_o be_v proper_a for_o god_n to_o give_v this_o be_v to_o ascribe_v that_o to_o the_o creature_n which_o be_v due_a to_o god_n and_o it_o be_v a_o very_a high_a degree_n of_o sin_n to_o depart_v from_o the_o lord_n and_o that_o in_o heart_n and_o to_o rest_v upon_o the_o creature_n for_o help_v instead_o of_o god_n it_o be_v plain_o to_o deny_v he_o and_o to_o honour_v the_o creature_n and_o that_o in_o heart_n with_o the_o great_a honour_n that_o can_v be_v give_v to_o the_o lord_n for_o it_o be_v to_o acknowledge_v the_o creature_n to_o have_v both_o power_n and_o mercy_n to_o help_v in_o time_n of_o need_n and_o to_o deny_v it_o to_o be_v find_v in_o god_n see_v psalm_n 62.10_o 11_o 12._o if_o riches_n increase_v set_v not_o your_o heart_n upon_o they_o but_o what_o if_o we_o shall_v wherein_o lie_v the_o sin_n before_o you_o believe_v you_o go_v about_o a_o foolish_a work_n that_o will_v never_o prosper_v nor_o come_v to_o any_o thing_n for_o you_o must_v receive_v all_o that_o grace_n and_o power_n from_o christ_n by_o faith_n through_o which_o you_o be_v enable_v to_o all_o that_o be_v good_a and_o therefore_o if_o you_o will_v repent_v or_o obey_v or_o get_v your_o heart_n change_v or_o your_o lust_n hear_v but_o the_o question_n be_v what_o it_o be_v to_o regard_v iniquity_n now_o i_o will_v tell_v you_o that_o man_n that_o go_v to_o god_n with_o a_o form_n of_o word_n and_o with_o they_o think_v
