1._o that_o the_o lord's-supper_n be_v substitute_v in_o the_o place_n of_o the_o passover_n which_o be_v command_v by_o the_o law_n to_o be_v celebrate_v once_o in_o the_o year_n and_o that_o in_o seldome_o than_o the_o jew_n do_v their_o passover_n must_v needs_o have_v less_o regard_n to_o the_o memory_n of_o christ_n death_n and_o the_o deliverance_n wrought_v by_o it_o than_o the_o jew_n have_v to_o their_o deliverance_n out_o of_o egypt_n there_o be_v no_o other_o imaginable_a reason_n that_o can_v tempt_v they_o to_o neglect_v purify_n themselves_o for_o this_o solemnity_n of_o worship_n and_o frequent_v it_o but_o the_o deadness_n of_o their_o heart_n towards_o christ_n and_o the_o want_n of_o sense_n gratitude_n and_o love_n towards_o their_o master_n 4._o christ_n positive_a command_n to_o do_v this_o in_o remembrance_n of_o he_o etc._n etc._n must_v oblige_v we_o in_o some_o time_n and_o in_o some_o circumstance_n and_o there_o can_v be_v no_o better_a way_n conclude_v that_o christ_n mean_v it_o shall_v be_v so_o and_o here_o it_o be_v observable_a that_o we_o do_v not_o find_v any_o solemn_a state_v meet_v of_o christian_n for_o worship_n in_o the_o whole_a new_a testament_n without_o it_o at_o first_o the_o disciple_n have_v their_o meeting_n every_o day_n and_o then_o they_o likewise_o daily_o receive_v this_o sacrament_n act_v two_o 46_o and_o they_o continue_v daily_o with_o one_o accord_n in_o the_o temple_n and_o in_o break_v bread_n from_o house_n to_o house_n and_o st._n paul_n suppose_v that_o their_o meet_v together_o be_v on_o purpose_n and_o with_o express_a design_n to_o celebrate_v this_o feast_n 1_o cor._n x._o 20_o when_o you_o come_v together_o therefore_o into_o one_o place_n this_o be_v not_o to_o eat_v the_o lord_n supper_n which_o intimate_v that_o one_o main_a design_n of_o their_o come_n
