accident_n to_o hinder_v they_o at_o this_o time_n or_o on_o this_o occasion_n from_o receive_v of_o it_o they_o ought_v not_o therefore_o to_o disquiet_v themselves_o but_o to_o believe_v that_o in_o such_o a_o case_n our_o saviour_n christ_n will_v make_v the_o same_o allowance_n for_o this_o feast_n that_o god_n do_v for_o that_o other_o and_o permit_v they_o yet_o another_o month_n to_o remove_v the_o obstacle_n and_o prepare_v themselves_o to_o come_v to_o his_o table_n but_o if_o instead_o of_o do_v this_o they_o shall_v still_o go_v on_o to_o insist_v upon_o these_o vain_a pretence_n and_o live_v so_o as_o not_o to_o be_v worthy_a to_o receive_v the_o holy_a sacrament_n and_o continue_v to_o live_v so_o still_o without_o take_v any_o care_n to_o put_v themselves_o into_o a_o better_a state_n this_o will_v prove_v a_o aggravation_n of_o their_o sin_n not_o a_o lessen_v of_o it_o and_o their_o neglect_n will_v be_v but_o the_o more_o inexcusable_a for_o be_v ground_v on_o a_o reason_n so_o contrary_a not_o only_o to_o the_o design_n of_o this_o holy_a sacrament_n but_o of_o the_o whole_a christian_a religion_n but_o sixthly_a and_o to_o close_v all_o the_o command_n of_o our_o saviour_n in_o these_o word_n we_o have_v be_v so_o long_o consider_v will_v not_o only_o oblige_v we_o in_o the_o general_n sometime_o to_o remember_v his_o death_n by_o receive_v this_o holy_a sacrament_n but_o frequent_o and_o oftentimes_o so_o to_o do_v i_o have_v before_o observe_v that_o the_o word_n which_o we_o here_o render_v remembrance_n do_v not_o imply_v the_o distinctive_a devotion_n of_o the_o lord_n day_n and_o at_o last_o the_o necessary_a lest_o proportion_n establish_v be_v the_o three_o great_a feast_n of_o the_o year_n in_o which_o our_o church_n still_o oblige_v all_o her_o member_n to_o partake_v of_o it_o but_o as_o he_o who_o be_v in_o a_o pure_a and_o holy_a state_n can_v never_o receive_v it_o too_o often_o so_o certain_o it_o be_v a_o thing_n than_o which_o none_o will_v more_o advance_v our_o piety_n to_o labour_v as_o frequent_o as_o we_o can_v to_o fit_v ourselves_o for_o it_o and_o since_o it_o have_v please_v god_n to_o revive_v something_o of_o the_o primitive_a zeal_n among_o we_o as_o to_o this_o particular_a in_o bring_v our_o solemn_a communion_n to_o a_o monthly_a course_n beside_o other_o extraordinary_a occasion_n of_o it_o i_o do_v not_o see_v what_o better_a exhortation_n i_o can_v leave_v with_o you_o as_o to_o this_o matter_n than_o serious_o to_o advise_v and_o earnest_o beseech_v every_o one_o the_o dispute_n till_o they_o have_v almost_o lose_v their_o charity_n and_o make_v a_o deplorable_a schism_n in_o the_o church_n of_o christ._n and_o yet_o i_o be_o confident_a no_o man_n will_v say_v that_o this_o be_v at_o all_o derogatory_n either_o to_o the_o truth_n of_o their_o common_a christianity_n or_o to_o the_o infallible_a authority_n with_o which_o the_o apostle_n have_v deliver_v it_o unto_o they_o and_o for_o the_o party_n themselves_o that_o thus_o differ_v with_o one_o another_o that_o they_o have_v a_o true_a zeal_n on_o both_o side_n for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o think_v it_o matter_n of_o conscience_n the_o one_o to_o observe_v these_o ceremonial_a institution_n as_o what_o god_n still_o require_v of_o they_o the_o other_o to_o refuse_v any_o sin_n and_o against_o themselves_o for_o have_v commit_v they_o be_v spend_v especial_o in_o the_o outward_a appearance_n of_o sorrow_n they_o rend_v their_o clothes_n 31_o and_o put_v on_o sackcloth_n they_o weep_v 27_o and_o fast_v and_o go_v soft_o and_o then_o they_o suppose_v they_o have_v do_v their_o business_n though_o it_o may_v be_v their_o soul_n be_v not_o yet_o humble_v which_o look_v rather_o to_o the_o danger_n of_o our_o condition_n than_o to_o the_o heinousness_n of_o our_o offence_n and_o bewail_v our_o transgression_n more_o out_o of_o a_o apprehension_n of_o those_o judgement_n that_o may_v be_v the_o consequence_n of_o they_o than_o out_o of_o any_o real_a regret_n that_o we_o have_v sin_v against_o a_o most_o gracious_a and_o merciful_a god_n for_o however_o those_o of_o the_o other_o communion_n out_o of_o their_o great_a tenderness_n to_o sinner_n have_v declare_v such_o a_o sorrow_n as_o this_o if_o accompany_v with_o confession_n to_o be_v sufficient_a 4._o to_o dispose_v man_n to_o obtain_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n by_o the_o sacrament_n of_o penance_n and_o therefore_o have_v resolve_v that_o true_a etc._n contrition_n or_o a_o sorrow_n for_o sin_n commit_v with_o a_o purpose_n of_o sin_v no_o more_o be_v not_o necessary_a to_o the_o sacrament_n of_o penance_n after_o the_o commission_n of_o mortal_a sin_n but_o that_o to_o the_o commission_n of_o it_o never_o so_o firm_a and_o well_o ground_v yet_o if_o instead_o of_o make_v good_a these_o resolution_n we_o shall_v stop_v here_o we_o be_v but_o half_a penitent_n see_v we_o yet_o want_v that_o change_n of_o life_n which_o alone_o be_v able_a to_o complete_a the_o nature_n and_o render_v the_o practice_n of_o our_o repentance_n acceptable_a unto_o god_n and_o soul_n must_v go_v along_o with_o our_o outward_a performance_n and_o these_o penitential_a appearance_n be_v the_o true_a declariation_n of_o that_o real_a inward_a sorrow_n which_o we_o feel_v in_o our_o heart_n for_o our_o offence_n for_o god_n be_v not_o a_o man_n 27_o that_o he_o shall_v be_v mock_v he_o see_v into_o our_o very_a soul_n and_o know_v the_o secret_n of_o all_o the_o child_n of_o men._n and_o second_o that_o it_o must_v be_v entire_a and_o without_o reserve_v as_o we_o must_v be_v sorry_a for_o every_o sin_n we_o have_v already_o commit_v so_o we_o must_v resolve_v presume_v it_o can_v be_v just_o say_v that_o we_o be_v not_o of_o the_o number_n of_o those_o who_o call_v the_o holy_a virgin_n bless_v who_o upon_o this_o foundation_n do_v free_o profess_v that_o provide_v only_o for_o that_o just_a distance_n that_o ought_v to_o be_v observe_v between_o the_o adoration_n that_o we_o owe_v to_o god_n and_o that_o honour_n which_o we_o may_v be_v allow_v to_o give_v to_o a_o creature_n there_o be_v no_o respect_n that_o we_o think_v too_o great_a to_o be_v give_v to_o she_o nor_o will_v we_o scruple_n to_o pay_v she_o any_o honour_n that_o do_v not_o entrench_v upon_o our_o piety_n and_o confound_v the_o service_n of_o god_n and_o his_o creature_n together_o be_v the_o bless_a virgin_n yet_o present_a upon_o earth_n with_o we_o we_o will_v soon_o convince_v those_o our_o accuser_n that_o we_o think_v no_o respect_n too_o much_o for_o she_o which_o either_o they_o or_o we_o be_v wont_n to_o give_v to_o the_o great_a saint_n yet_o on_o earth_n now_o that_o she_o be_v depart_v from_o we_o all_o we_o can_v do_v be_v to_o follow_v she_o with_o our_o esteem_n our_o praise_n and_o our_o imitation_n that_o be_v to_o give_v she_o all_o that_o honour_n which_o any_o creature_n in_o the_o same_o circumstance_n be_v fit_a to_o receive_v or_o which_o it_o may_v be_v either_o lawful_a or_o reasonable_a for_o we_o to_o offer_v to_o such_o a_o one_o saint_n we_o pray_v not_o indeed_o to_o she_o now_o nor_o will_v we_o do_v it_o if_o she_o be_v still_o on_o earth_n and_o we_o be_v sure_o she_o can_v hear_v and_o know_v our_o request_n because_o prayer_n we_o look_v upon_o to_o be_v a_o act_n of_o religious_a worship_n and_o therefore_o such_o as_o be_v proper_a to_o god_n only_o but_o we_o bless_v god_n for_o the_o honour_n he_o
