strong_a warfare_n in_o his_o spiritual_a travel_n and_o find_v it_o such_o a_o hard_a work_n to_o come_v into_o the_o regenerate_v state_n because_o there_o he_o must_v deny_v himself_o and_o forsake_v all_o his_o heart_n lust_n and_o lay_v down_o his_o life_n in_o the_o judgement_n and_o abide_v the_o fire_n of_o refinement_n and_o as_o man_n in_o the_o light_n begin_v to_o approach_v near_o unto_o this_o great_a work_n than_o the_o serpent_n strive_v in_o his_o subtlety_n to_o withhold_v he_o and_o keep_v he_o back_o and_o so_o the_o two_o in_o their_o contrary_a nature_n be_v feel_v in_o the_o strife_n and_o this_o gate_n be_v straight_o and_o few_o there_o be_v that_o find_v it_o and_o as_o man_n stand_v faithful_a and_o abide_v in_o the_o light_n he_o will_v feel_v strength_n to_o support_v he_o when_o the_o enemy_n thus_o violent_o pursue_v he_o and_o he_o will_v stand_v a_o conqueror_n over_o those_o lust_n that_o have_v have_v dominion_n over_o he_o and_o drunkard_n if_o he_o keep_v himself_o from_o be_v drink_v he_o may_v moderate_o keep_v his_o friend_n company_n and_o he_o may_v be_v merry_a with_o he_o and_o he_o tell_v the_o proud_a in_o heart_n if_o they_o use_v not_o excess_n in_o their_o apparel_n they_o may_v go_v decent_o according_a to_o their_o quality_n and_o the_o like_a temptation_n for_o other_o lust_n he_o have_v and_o he_o tell_v man_n the_o moderate_a use_n of_o they_o will_v not_o bring_v condemnation_n but_o here_o some_o have_v find_v he_o a_o liar_n as_o he_o be_v who_o come_v to_o abstain_v and_o restrain_v from_o the_o excess_n of_o many_o thing_n which_o once_o they_o be_v serve_v their_o lust_n in_o and_o cain_o down_o to_o that_o which_o the_o devil_n call_v moderation_n but_o find_v it_o be_v in_o the_o heart_n lust_n still_o and_o with_o the_o light_n be_v still_o condemn_v and_o judge_v and_o no_o rest_n nor_o peace_n can_v be_v find_v until_o the_o devil_n be_v whole_o deny_v and_o the_o heart_n lust_v give_v up_o to_o the_o cross_n and_o there_o crucify_v and_o thereby_o redemption_n perfect_o wrought_v in_o the_o power_n of_o christ_n and_o then_o come_v the_o right_a use_n to_o be_v make_v of_o ill_a thing_n in_o their_o place_n with_o true_a moderation_n and_o in_o the_o use_n of_o they_o in_o the_o redeem_a state_n there_o be_v no_o condemnation_n for_o they_o be_v receive_v and_o use_v in_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o what_o be_v useful_a and_o no_o more_o and_o there_o be_v no_o lust_n abide_v that_o reach_v forth_o beyond_o the_o present_a need_n and_o there_o be_v the_o blessing_n feel_v but_o man_n that_o hearken_v to_o the_o serpent_n and_o take_v that_o for_o moderation_n that_o he_o call_v so_o he_o be_v deceive_v and_o though_o he_o lessen_v the_o use_n of_o that_o which_o the_o light_n reprove_v he_o for_o in_o the_o inordinate_a affection_n yet_o will_v the_o light_n still_o condemn_v he_o and_o judge_v he_o in_o his_o own_o conscience_n until_o he_o come_v to_o the_o power_n and_o there_o have_v his_o lust_n true_o crucify_a so_o the_o serpent_n tell_v the_o drunkard_n he_o may_v drink_v moderate_o and_o be_v merry_a with_o his_o friend_n he_o tell_v the_o proud_a he_o may_v put_v on_o such_o garment_n as_o be_v suitable_a to_o his_o quality_n among_o man_n so_o that_o he_o keep_v within_o the_o bound_n of_o moderation_n and_o many_o have_v here_o deny_v common_a drunkenness_n and_o yet_o satisfy_v the_o old_a lust_n in_o the_o excess_n and_o many_o that_o can_v wear_v so_o many_o ribbon_n nor_o great_a cuff_n as_o sometime_o they_o can_v yet_o they_o must_v have_v some_o bunch_n of_o ribbon_n and_o little_a cuff_n then_o say_v the_o devil_n thou_o be_v now_o in_o the_o moderation_n and_o do_v no_o more_o or_o hardly_o so_o much_o as_o become_v thy_o quality_n and_o now_o to_o give_v one_o true_a and_o faithful_a experience_n though_o many_o in_o these_o thing_n may_v be_v true_o demonstrate_v i_o know_v a_o man_n who_o once_o be_v alive_a to_o himself_o and_o serve_v his_o lust_n and_o love_v pleasure_n more_o than_o god_n and_o in_o one_o thing_n the_o serpent_n have_v seal_v his_o life_n more_o than_o in_o many_o other_o and_o his_o delight_n be_v chief_o in_o it_o and_o after_o he_o come_v to_o obey_v the_o light_n of_o christ_n in_o his_o conscience_n it_o be_v clear_o
