have_v just_a cause_n to_o pray_v with_o the_o church_n in_o her_o liturgy_n from_o sudden_a death_n good_a lord_n deliver_v us._n but_o you_o will_v say_v death_n that_o we_o ought_v continual_o to_o child_n of_o the_o godly_a dye_n while_o they_o hang_v upon_o the_o breast_n or_o in_o the_o womb_n yet_o there_o be_v hope_n of_o mercy_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o promise_n but_o if_o the_o child_n of_o the_o wicked_a dye_n before_o they_o be_v of_o power_n to_o commit_v sin_n actual_o there_o be_v no_o hope_n of_o mercy_n but_o a_o fearful_a expectation_n of_o justice_n because_o there_o be_v no_o promise_n of_o mercy_n belong_v unto_o they_o you_o see_v then_o the_o reason_n why_o god_n destroy_v those_o infant_n &_o suck_a babe_n of_o sodom_n with_o this_o temporal_a judgement_n of_o fire_n &_o brimstone_n even_o because_o they_o be_v child_n of_o ungodly_a parent_n and_o if_o he_o have_v destroy_v they_o eternal_o he_o have_v do_v no_o more_o than_o in_o his_o justice_n he_o may_v because_o he_o never_o make_v promise_n of_o mercy_n unto_o they_o the_o second_o reason_n why_o god_n destroy_v these_o child_n be_v to_o increase_v the_o grief_n and_o sorrow_n of_o their_o parent_n for_o common_o the_o misery_n of_o our_o child_n be_v more_o grievous_a unto_o we_o than_o our_o own_o misery_n david_n take_v the_o death_n of_o his_o son_n absalon_n so_o heavy_o that_o abominable_a way_n of_o their_o parent_n for_o if_o they_o have_v live_v the_o nature_n which_o they_o draw_v from_o their_o parent_n will_v have_v draw_v they_o to_o the_o sin_n of_o their_o parent_n lest_o therefore_o these_o child_n shall_v have_v trace_v the_o sinful_a step_n of_o their_o parent_n the_o lord_n take_v they_o away_o in_o the_o same_o destruction_n with_o their_o parent_n the_o last_o reason_n why_o these_o child_n be_v destroy_v be_v 4_o because_o god_n will_v leave_v none_o of_o that_o wicked_a brood_n to_o remain_v upon_o the_o earth_n there_o be_v overmany_a of_o that_o translate_v the_o same_o word_n thus_o all_o that_o the_o earth_n bring_v forth_o and_o nourish_v all_o cattle_n and_o beast_n of_o the_o field_n all_o creep_a thing_n and_o whatsoever_o be_v upon_o the_o face_n of_o the_o earth_n be_v destroy_v in_o this_o overthrow_n and_o here_o we_o may_v just_o wonder_v at_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n which_o he_o extend_v not_o only_o unto_o man_n which_o have_v judgement_n &_o will_n nor_o unto_o babe_n and_o suckling_n which_o be_v taint_v with_o corruption_n by_o the_o propagation_n of_o nature_n from_o their_o parent_n but_o also_o to_o separate_v man_n from_o god_n but_o sin_n nothing_o do_v provoke_v god_n to_o punish_v plague_n and_o destroy_v man_n but_o sin_n nothing_o do_v draw_v down_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n upon_o man_n but_o sin_n and_o sin_v it_o be_v that_o move_v the_o lord_n to_o revenge_v himself_o thus_o severe_o upon_o this_o land_n and_o people_n as_o it_o appear_v by_o the_o word_n of_o almighty_a god_n to_o abraham_n 18.20_o because_o the_o cry_n of_o sodom_n and_o gomorrah_n be_v great_a and_o because_o their_o sin_n be_v exceed_o grievous_a i_o will_v go_v down_o now_o say_v the_o lord_n sin_n nobility_n of_o his_o dignity_n and_o greatness_n of_o his_o wealth_n and_o riches_n of_o his_o credit_n and_o estimation_n of_o his_o learning_n and_o wisdom_n of_o his_o apparel_n of_o his_o
