seven_o year_n yet_o in_o truth_n by_o declare_v that_o after_o those_o scaven_n year_n it_o shall_v not_o be_v otherwise_o exercise_v then_o his_o majesty_n and_o the_o two_o house_n of_o parliament_n shall_v agree_v and_o his_o majesty_n may_v thereby_o be_v total_o and_o for_o ever_o divest_v of_o the_o power_n of_o the_o sword_n without_o which_o he_o can_v neither_o defend_v himself_o against_o forteigne_n invasion_n or_o domestic_a insurrection_n or_o execute_v his_o kingly_a office_n in_o the_o behalf_n of_o his_o subject_n to_o who_o he_o be_v swear_v to_o give_v protection_n and_o to_o both_o these_o your_o lordship_n add_v the_o introduce_v a_o neighbour_n nation_n govern_v by_o distinct_a and_o different_a law_n though_o unite_v under_o one_o sovereign_n to_o a_o great_a share_n in_o the_o government_n of_o this_o kingdom_n in_o stead_n of_o consent_v to_o these_o change_n we_o have_v offer_v and_o propose_v to_o your_o lordship_n that_o the_o person_n to_o be_v trust_v with_o the_o militia_n of_o the_o kingdom_n may_v be_v nominate_v between_o we_o or_o if_o that_o be_v refuse_v that_o a_o equal_a number_n shall_v be_v name_v by_o you_o and_o the_o other_o number_n by_o his_o majesty_n and_o that_o half_a the_o fort_n and_o place_n of_o strength_n within_o the_o kingdom_n shall_v be_v in_o the_o custody_n of_o those_o who_o you_o think_v fit_a to_o be_v trust_v therewith_o &_o the_o other_o half_a in_o such_o hand_n as_o his_o majesty_n please_v to_o commit_v the_o same_o to_o and_o all_o person_n as_o well_o those_o nominate_v by_o your_o lordship_n as_o by_o his_o majesty_n to_o take_v a_o oath_n for_o the_o due_a discharge_n of_o the_o say_a trust_n which_o be_v consider_v as_o the_o sceurity_n be_v mutual_a so_o neither_o part_n can_v be_v suppose_v to_o violate_v the_o agreement_n without_o very_o evident_a inconvenience_n and_o danger_n to_o that_o part_n who_o shall_v so_o violate_v it_o the_o whole_a kingdom_n be_v likely_a and_o indeed_o oblige_v to_o look_v upon_o whosoever_o shall_v in_o the_o least_o degree_n violate_v this_o agreement_n as_o the_o author_n of_o all_o the_o misery_n which_o the_o kingdom_n shall_v thereby_o suffer_v and_o as_o it_o be_v most_o reasonable_a that_o for_o this_o security_n his_o majesty_n shall_v part_v with_o so_o much_o of_o his_o own_o power_n as_o may_v make_v he_o even_o
