the_o body_n not_o infuse_v by_o degree_n though_o it_o be_v a_o maxim_n in_o philosophy_n that_o the_o heart_n first_o live_v which_o be_v not_o so_o to_o be_v understand_v as_o if_o life_n be_v as_o well_o as_o former_o we_o have_v do_v evil_a concoction_n of_o onr_a meat_n argue_v a_o cold_a stomach_n or_o at_o least_o a_o abatement_n of_o the_o native_a heat_n so_o when_o people_n digest_v not_o god_n word_n the_o food_n of_o their_o soul_n but_o vomit_v it_o up_o again_o either_o by_o storm_v against_o it_o censure_v of_o it_o or_o wilful_o neglect_v the_o power_n and_o practice_n of_o it_o it_o be_v a_o sign_n of_o decline_v in_o grace_n four_o and_o last_o if_o there_o be_v a_o cold_a drowsy_a and_o formal_a performance_n of_o the_o duty_n of_o god_n worship_n and_o service_n when_o a_o man_n be_v not_o so_o cheerful_a and_o lively_a unto_o &_o in_o good_a duty_n as_o of_o old_a this_o argue_v a_o decay_a of_o his_o spiritual_a strength_n
grace_n to_o bewail_v the_o want_n of_o grace_n and_o to_o be_v earnest_a with_o the_o lord_n for_o a_o supply_n thereof_o if_o thou_o be_v in_o any_o bodily_a want_n or_o necessity_n town_n and_o country_n peradventure_o shall_v hear_v if_o not_o ring_v of_o it_o thou_o can_v hearty_o pray_v for_o and_o earnest_o seek_v out_o for_o outward_a necessary_n food_n clothing_n fire_n etc._n etc._n and_o sleep_v under_o a_o juniper_n tree_n up_o &_o eat_v thou_o have_v a_o great_a journey_n to_o go_v 1_o king_n 19_o 7._o so_o we_o have_v a_o long_a way_n &_o a_o short_a day_n to_o finish_v it_o selfe-conceitednesse_a which_o grow_v too_o fast_o in_o the_o best_a soil_n be_v water_v and_o cherish_v by_o the_o devil_n who_o when_o he_o can_v procure_v the_o child_n of_o god_n to_o stoop_v to_o hate_v and_o have_v vow_v against_o let_v not_o this_o perplex_v thy_o soul_n as_o if_o grace_n have_v forsake_v thou_o because_o it_o be_v no_o better_o with_o thou_o but_o collect_v thy_o spirit_n call_v upon_o grace_n and_o say_v where_o be_v thou_o my_o friend_n my_o guide_n my_o hope_n my_o help_n stand_v by_o i_o and_o strengthen_v i_o against_o corruption_n which_o be_v too_o strong_a for_o i_o if_o thou_o help_v i_o not_o i_o be_o undo_v i_o tell_v thou_o for_o truth_n for_o i_o know_v what_o i_o say_v to_o be_v true_a that_o by_o the_o virtue_n and_o strength_n of_o grace_n a_o poor_a distress_a soul_n cleave_v to_o the_o ground_n abhor_v its_o self_n and_o lie_v at_o the_o very_a brink_n of_o despair_n ready_a to_o be_v swallow_v up_o of_o death_n and_o hell_n consult_v and_o resolve_v to_o try_v whether_o hell_n torment_v or_o the_o hellish_a pang_n of_o a_o afflict_a conscience_n be_v more_o tolerable_a i_o say_v a_o poor_a soul_n in_o such_o a_o desperate_a condition_n have_v by_o the_o strength_n of_o grace_n be_v bring_v back_o from_o death_n to_o life_n and_o as_o it_o be_v from_o hell_n to_o heaven_n receive_v new_a or_o revive_v again_o its_o old_a comfort_n be_v at_o defiance_n with_o sin_n and_o satan_n challenge_v hell_n and_o death_n and_o bid_v they_o do_v their_o worst_a say_v who_o shall_v separate_v i_o from_o the_o love_n of_o god_n 38._o etc._n etc._n therefore_o yield_v not_o either_o to_o thou_o own_o corruption_n or_o satan_n tentation_n though_o they_o have_v get_v thou_o on_o the_o hip_n &_o give_v thou_o the_o foil_n set_a
