be_v true_a a_o dead_a man_n be_v stiff_a but_o have_v you_o find_v yourselves_o in_o a_o way_n of_o sin_n a_o evil_a way_n and_o be_v you_o so_o stiff_o therein_o as_o you_o will_v not_o be_v put_v this_o be_v good_a &_o they_o can_v live_v without_o it_o but_o when_o a_o man_n grow_v into_o more_o strength_n of_o grace_n than_o he_o grow_v off_o from_o these_o thing_n that_o the_o youth_n of_o my_o heel_n what_o a_o stone_n have_v i_o at_o my_o heel_n oh_o lord_n when_o shall_v i_o come_v to_o heaven_n that_o i_o may_v be_v free_v from_o this_o clog_n at_o my_o heel_n i_o say_v if_o you_o yea_o and_o that_o some_o minister_n have_v put_v people_n upon_o this_o trial_n as_o thus_o be_v thou_o content_v to_o go_v to_o hell_n if_o god_n will_v have_v it_o so_o i_o say_v i_o have_v hear_v that_o even_o some_o minister_n have_v put_v people_n upon_o such_o a_o trial_n as_o this_o be_v but_o where_o be_v their_o commission_n where_o have_v any_o minister_n such_o a_o commission_n from_o the_o lord_n to_o put_v poor_a people_n upon_o such_o a_o trial_n as_o this_o be_v soul_n be_v thou_o content_v to_o go_v to_o hell_n if_o god_n will_v have_v it_o so_o let_v any_o minister_n show_v sweet-smelling_a herb_n and_o violet_n you_o must_v lift_v up_o other_o obscure_a leaf_n and_o there_o you_o shall_v see_v it_o so_o this_o humility_n and_o self-denial_n it_o lie_v under_o other_o duty_n and_o under_o other_o exercise_n and_o if_o you_o will_v see_v it_o you_o must_v lift_v up_o other_o leaf_n though_o thou_o be_v not_o able_a to_o attain_v to_o that_o height_n as_o to_o say_v of_o jesus_n christ_n beside_o you_o know_v that_o friend_n love_v to_o be_v near_o unto_o one_o another_o and_o the_o near_o they_o be_v the_o happy_a they_o count_v themselves_o they_o love_v not_o to_o be_v asunder_o the_o soul_n of_o the_o lover_n live_v where_o it_o love_v rather_o than_o where_o it_o live_v now_o there_o be_v the_o great_a friendship_n between_o christ_n and_o a_o believer_n and_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n have_v a_o happiness_n above_o all_o friend_n that_o he_o can_v make_v himself_o near_a and_o be_v more_o one_o with_o his_o friend_n than_o any_o friend_n in_o the_o world_n can_v and_o therefore_o upon_o those_o term_n of_o love_n and_o friendship_n christ_n by_o his_o spirit_n live_v in_o all_o believer_n object_n it_o will_v be_v say_v if_o christ_n live_v in_o all_o believer_n real_o live_v in_o they_o by_o his_o spirit_n then_o what_o need_v of_o ordinance_n for_o christ_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n in_o i_o can_v live_v without_o ordinance_n and_o if_o a_o man_n have_v attain_v once_o unto_o the_o spirit_n christ_n in_o he_o and_o christ_n live_v in_o he_o and_o have_v attain_v unto_o the_o spirit_n the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n real_o live_v in_o he_o what_o need_v of_o any_o commandment_n without_o or_o rule_n without_o for_o the_o spirit_n will_v be_v a_o sufficient-rule_n to_o lead_v he_o into_o all_o that_o be_v right_a what_o need_v therefore_o of_o any_o commandment_n rule_n or_o ordinance_n without_o answ_n yes_o for_o we_o use_v the_o ordinance_n not_o only_o for_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o god_n in_o they_o but_o as_o a_o testimony_n of_o our_o obedience_n if_o that_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o god_n and_o christ_n be_v the_o only_a reason_n of_o the_o ordinance_n then_o in_o case_n that_o a_o man_n can_v without_o the_o ordinance_n have_v the_o enjoyment_n of_o god_n and_o christ_n he_o may_v lay_v by_o the_o ordinance_n but_o see_v that_o we_o be_v for_o to_o use_v the_o ordinance_n as_o a_o act_n of_o our_o obedience_n although_o a_o man_n can_v enjoy_v christ_n have_v the_o spirit_n and_o christ_n live_v in_o he_o yet_o notwithstanding_o he_o be_v still_o to_o bear_v up_o the_o ordinance_n because_o there_o he_o be_v to_o express_v his_o obedience_n unto_o god_n and_o christ_n and_o now_o give_v i_o leave_v a_o little_a to_o fix_v here_o to_o take_v off_o this_o scruple_n and_o objection_n if_o you_o look_v into_o the_o 27._o of_o number_n you_o shall_v find_v that_o joshua_n have_v the_o spirit_n and_o not_o in_o a_o ordinary_a way_n but_o in_o a_o more_o than_o ordinary_a and_o though_o the_o lord_n give_v you_o the_o bread_n of_o adversity_n and_o the_o water_n of_o affliction_n yet_o shall_v not_o thy_o teacher_n be_v remove_v into_o a_o corner_n any_o more_o but_o thy_o eye_n shall_v see_v thy_o teacher_n here_o be_v ordinance_n here_o be_v teacher_n well_o now_o but_o where_o be_v the_o spirit_n verse_n the_o 21._o and_o thy_o ear_n shall_v hear_v a_o word_n i_o have_v the_o spirit_n and_o therefore_o i_o have_v no_o need_n of_o any_o commandment_n from_o without_o for_o the_o spirit_n be_v rule_n enough_o here_o i_o take_v away_o the_o commandment_n as_o have_v the_o first_o thing_n clear_v and_o prove_v christ_n live_v in_o all_o believer_n quest_n 2_o second_o whereby_o may_v it_o appear_v that_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n do_v so_o live_v in_o a_o believer_n as_o that_o he_o have_v a_o great_a hand_n and_o stroke_n in_o all_o the_o action_n of_o his_o spiritual_a life_n than_o a_o believer_n have_v himself_o that_o jesus_n christ_n do_v live_v more_o in_o a_o believer_n than_o himself_o do_v answ_n 1_o the_o scripture_n be_v very_o plain_a if_o you_o look_v into_o the_o 1._o chap._n of_o paul_n to_o the_o ephesian_n and_o the_o than_o themselves_o have_v sure_o therefore_o this_o in-being_a of_o christ_n in_o the_o soul_n be_v a_o work_n of_o power_n of_o almighty_a power_n the_o same_o power_n that_o raise_v up_o christ_n from_o the_o dead_a second_o if_o these_o thing_n be_v true_a then_o here_o may_v a_o man_n say_v i_o see_v a_o great_a and_o vast_a difference_n between_o a_o godly_a and_o a_o wicked_a man_n take_v see_v what_o a_o great_a evil_n it_o be_v for_o any_o child_n of_o god_n to_o say_v that_o his_o duty_n be_v nothing_o but_o hypocrisy_n or_o the_o work_n of_o christ_n hypocrisy_n do_v you_o look_v upon_o the_o work_n of_o jesus_n christ_n as_o so_o vile_a and_o base_a nothing_o more_o base_a in_o your_o eye_n than_o hypocrisy_n if_o christ_n be_v in_o i_o he_o live_v in_o i_o he_o have_v a_o great_a hand_n and_o stroke_n in_o all_o my_o spiritual_a action_n than_o myself_o have_v therefore_o through_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n i_o will_v be_v for_o ever_o wary_a how_o i_o say_v of_o my_o own_o duty_n again_o they_o be_v all_o nothing_o but_o vile_a hypocrisy_n five_o if_o these_o thing_n be_v true_a then_o here_o now_o i_o see_v the_o reason_n why_o a_o believer_n be_v and_o aught_o
