whether_o the_o gentleman_n will_v give_v he_o a_o alm_n or_o whether_o he_o be_v provide_v a_o cudgel_n to_o beat_v he_o away_o so_o a_o wicked_a man_n pray_v and_o put_v up_o his_o petition_n to_o shall_v have_v hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n better_a heretofore_o you_o shall_v have_v be_v more_o careful_a and_o circumspect_a of_o your_o way_n than_o you_o be_v but_o now_o you_o can_v help_v it_o these_o thing_n and_o time_n be_v go_v and_o can_v be_v recall_v such_o a_o one_o have_v be_v a_o drunkard_n a_o swearer_n a_o worldling_n etc._n etc._n but_o he_o can_v help_v it_o now_o true_o he_o may_v have_v help_v it_o and_o because_o he_o do_v not_o his_o heart_n shall_v bleed_v for_o it_o if_o he_o belong_v to_o god_n but_o do_v not_o stand_v pore_a too_o much_o upon_o it_o but_o consider_v now_o what_o you_o have_v to_o do_v now_o you_o be_v to_o humble_v your_o self_n now_o you_o be_v to_o strive_v with_o god_n in_o all_o manner_n of_o prayer_n for_o more_o grace_n and_o more_o power_n of_o obedience_n and_o assurance_n and_o be_v not_o discourage_v four_o if_o the_o soul_n be_v discourage_v it_o will_v breed_v nothing_o but_o sorrow_n what_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o many_o christian_n be_v always_o weep_v and_o mourning_n and_o sigh_v and_o sob_v from_o day_n to_o day_n all_o their_o life_n time_n and_o will_v not_o be_v comfort_v because_o of_o these_o discouragement_n 1_o thes._n 4._o 13._o sorrow_n not_o say_v the_o apostle_n as_o those_o that_o have_v no_o hope_n as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v sorrow_n if_o you_o will_v but_o do_v not_o sorrow_n as_o they_o that_o have_v no_o hope_n how_o be_v that_o it_o be_v a_o sorrow_n with_o nothing_o but_o sorrow_n from_o which_o they_o have_v no_o hope_n of_o enlargement_n or_o freedom_n o_o than_o my_o brethren_n suppose_v you_o have_v dead_a heart_n suppose_v you_o want_v zeal_n you_o want_v assurance_n suppose_v it_o be_v so_o yet_o labour_v to_o attain_v these_o grace_n sorrow_n and_o spare_v not_o weep_v and_o mourn_v and_o pour_v out_o whole_a bucket_n of_o tear_n for_o your_o sin_n if_o you_o can_v but_o sorrow_n not_o with_o nothing_o but_o sorrow_n be_v not_o discourage_v suppose_v that_o thou_o have_v a_o dead_a heart_n that_o thou_o be_v a_o hypocrite_n that_o thou_o have_v a_o rot_a heart_n it_o be_v a_o heavy_a thing_n and_o a_o fearful_a case_n indeed_o for_o which_o thou_o have_v great_a cause_n of_o humiliation_n and_o sorrow_n but_o yet_o sorrow_n not_o desperate_o as_o man_n without_o hope_n be_v not_o whole_o discourage_v but_o as_o you_o sorrow_n for_o your_o sin_n so_o also_o labour_v with_o encouragement_n to_o get_v out_o and_o be_v rid_v of_o your_o sin_n five_o discouragement_n breed_v and_o procure_v a_o total_a perplexity_n they_o leave_v the_o soul_n in_o a_o maze_n that_o it_o know_v not_o whether_o to_o turn_v itself_o when_o man_n come_v to_o be_v discourage_v oh_o what_o shall_v i_o do_v say_v one_o i_o be_o utter_o undo_v say_v another_o i_o know_v not_o what_o will_v become_v of_o i_o say_v a_o three_o oh_o i_o be_o utter_o lose_v i_o shall_v perish_v one_o day_n one_o day_n god_n will_v discover_v i_o and_o be_v avenge_v on_o i_o for_o this_o and_o that_o sin_n i_o be_v as_o good_a go_v to_o hell_n at_o the_o first_o as_o at_o the_o last_o for_o that_o will_v be_v the_o end_n of_o i_o i_o have_v go_v to_o prayer_n but_o that_o do_v not_o help_v i_o i_o have_v go_v to_o sacrament_n but_o i_o find_v no_o help_n still_o my_o soul_n lie_v under_o the_o power_n of_o sin_n still_o my_o sin_n be_v as_o strong_a in_o i_o as_o ever_o thus_o the_o soul_n be_v discourage_v and_o cry_v out_o oh_o what_o shall_v i_o do_v i_o know_v not_o what_o to_o do_v what_o shall_v i_o do_v say_v thou_o alas_o thou_o have_v thing_n enough_o to_o do_v if_o thou_o be_v not_o discourage_v utter_o undo_v no_o man_n thou_o may_v see_v that_o thou_o be_v not_o utter_o undo_v but_o that_o thou_o be_v discourage_v do_v whisper_v within_o a_o man_n a_o sentence_n of_o death_n and_o a_o impossibility_n of_o escape_v as_o far_o as_o the_o discouragement_n of_o life_n go_v so_o far_o go_v the_o sentence_n of_o death_n we_o despair_v of_o life_n and_o have_v the_o sentence_n of_o death_n in_o ourselves_o say_v the_o apostle_n 2_o cor._n 1._o 8._o 9_o he_o despair_v of_o life_n in_o himself_o and_o therefore_o have_v the_o sentence_n of_o death_n in_o himself_o this_o be_v good_a but_o he_o do_v not_o despair_v of_o life_n in_o god_n for_o than_o he_o shall_v have_v have_v likewise_o the_o sentence_n of_o death_n from_o god_n in_o his_o conscience_n if_o you_o despair_v in_o the_o lord_n you_o have_v the_o sentence_n of_o death_n and_o damnation_n from_o god_n in_o your_o conscience_n take_v heed_n of_o this_o my_o belove_a be_v not_o discourage_v in_o god_n do_v not_o despair_v in_o the_o lord_n that_o will_v work_v a_o miserable_a effect_n in_o your_o soul_n it_o will_v secret_o whisper_v a_o sentence_n of_o damnation_n in_o your_o soul_n it_o be_v strange_a to_o consider_v how_o many_o poor_a soul_n rub_v on_o with_o these_o whisper_a sentence_n in_o their_o bosom_n suffer_v their_o conscience_n day_n by_o day_n to_o tell_v they_o that_o they_o be_v rot_v to_o tell_v they_o that_o they_o be_v never_o yet_o convert_v to_o tell_v they_o that_o they_o be_v yet_o in_o the_o state_n of_o damnation_n and_o yet_o they_o will_v not_o root_v out_o these_o discouragement_n o_o go_v to_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n beg_v for_o grace_n and_o for_o mercy_n and_o for_o power_n against_o sin_n and_o be_v not_o discourage_v what_o will_v thou_o carry_v thy_o own_o sentence_n of_o death_n in_o thy_o breast_n if_o thou_o will_v not_o rouse_v up_o thy_o soul_n and_o pray_v with_o more_o affection_n and_o confidence_n and_o shake_v off_o discouragement_n take_v heed_n lest_o thou_o carry_v the_o sentence_n of_o thy_o own_o death_n and_o damnation_n in_o thy_o bowel_n o_o therefore_o once_o more_o let_v i_o beseech_v you_o to_o take_v heed_n of_o these_o discouragement_n and_o now_o harken_v to_o the_o voice_n of_o god_n which_o call_v upon_o you_o fear_v not_o thou_o draw_v
