collective_a church_n and_o body_n of_o man_n have_v first_o be_v instruct_v by_o he_o and_o be_v also_o the_o seal_n of_o his_o apostleship_n in_o the_o lord_n 9.2_o they_o under_o the_o notion_n of_o son_n of_o the_o church_n can_v have_v but_o one_o spiritual_a father_n no_o more_o then_o natural_a son_n can_v whereupon_o have_v signify_v to_o they_o his_o power_n of_o super-intendency_a under_o a_o relation_n that_o may_v claim_v sole_a and_o undeniable_a authority_n as_o their_o general_a father_n or_o head_n he_o then_o tell_v they_o of_o his_o practice_n thereupon_o for_o this_o superstitious_o again_o will_v balk_v those_o minister_n of_o christ_n set_v over_o they_o as_o think_v obededience_n no_o where_o due_a but_o to_o he_o alone_o therefore_o say_v he_o i_o beseech_v the_o gospel_n and_o make_v obedience_n to_o christ_n their_o wisdom_n and_o righteousness_n and_o sanctification_n and_o redemption_n the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n be_v now_o a_o mystery_n even_o a_o way_n to_o justification_n 30._o which_o the_o wise_a man_n of_o the_o world_n know_v not_o nor_o can_v discover_v in_o their_o precept_n of_o moral_a justice_n have_v therefore_o afterward_o again_o warn_v they_o against_o these_o carnal_a course_n that_o cause_v these_o division_n as_o also_o tell_v they_o that_o this_o worldly_a wisdom_n be_v foolishness_n with_o god_n 19_o he_o than_o shall_v not_o know_v how_o to_o make_v good_a those_o sure_a mercy_n of_o david_n etc._n those_o many_o prophecy_n that_o his_o kingdom_n shall_v be_v establish_v for_o ever_o in_o his_o seed_n and_o personal_a loin_n according_a to_o nature_n and_o these_o by_o default_n on_o their_o part_n to_o be_v cut_v off_o and_o understand_v again_o that_o succession_n of_o perpetuity_n and_o the_o glorious_a promise_n of_o the_o church_n to_o be_v make_v good_a in_o solomon_n typify_v son_n the_o christian_a monarch_n these_o seem_a contradiction_n may_v be_v easy_o reconcile_v as_o have_v be_v both_o make_v good_a and_o it_o be_v observable_a by_o the_o way_n that_o the_o expression_n use_v verse_n the_o 14._o show_v that_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n here_o be_v the_o king_n as_o before_o show_v in_o the_o petition_n thy_o kingdom_n come_v and_o that_o again_o the_o kingship_n of_o king_n be_v god_n for_o so_o the_o word_n run_v i_o will_v settle_v he_o in_o my_o house_n and_o my_o kingdom_n for_o ever_o and_o his_o throne_n shall_v be_v establish_v for_o evermore_o 14._o to_o the_o end_n that_o god_n will_v may_v be_v do_v in_o earth_n as_o it_o be_v in_o heaven_n but_o since_o manner_n as_o we_o be_v to_o understand_v that_o the_o many_o promise_n of_o judah_n and_o israel_n and_o the_o jewish_a church_n and_o temple_n happiness_n and_o perpetuity_n be_v to_o be_v make_v good_a in_o the_o christian_a church_n answerable_a to_o that_o prophetical_a description_n of_o the_o christian_a church_n under_o the_o jewish_a figure_n make_v by_o david_n himself_o 122.5_o viz._n for_o there_o be_v set_v throne_n of_o judgement_n the_o throne_n of_o the_o house_n of_o david_n where_o the_o name_n of_o throne_n be_v twice_o set_v in_o the_o plural_a number_n must_v signify_v succession_n of_o kingship_n which_o come_v to_o christ_n as_o natural_o david_n son_n and_o to_o king_n as_o christ_n adopt_a son_n it_o follow_v that_o the_o opposer_n of_o they_o do_v oppose_v christ_n and_o so_o be_v antichrist_n and_o without_o the_o like_a interpretation_n and_o take_v in_o the_o adopt_a christian_a king_n as_o with_o christ_n typify_v in_o solomon_n psal._n 72_o it_o will_v be_v hard_a to_o be_v understand_v how_o many_o of_o those_o prophecy_n of_o prosperity_n and_o outward_a greatness_n here_o and_o in_o other_o prophecy_n give_v to_o christ_n can_v personal_o be_v make_v good_a in_o he_o consider_v that_o mean_a condition_n christ_n himself_o live_v in_o among_o we_o where_o he_o be_v so_o far_o from_o express_v or_o exercise_v any_o thing_n like_o the_o throne_n or_o judgement_n of_o a_o king_n or_o king_n son_n that_o he_o have_v not_o whereon_o to_o lay_v his_o head_n 8.20_o but_o there_o can_v be_v no_o more_o better_a commentator_n of_o the_o meaning_n of_o these_o promise_n than_o david_n himself_o who_o in_o his_o last_o word_n clear_o explain_v to_o we_o 23.1_o that_o they_o be_v prophetic_a to_o those_o throne_n which_o shall_v be_v establish_v under_o the_o type_n of_o he_o and_o solomon_n by_o christ_n and_o christian_a king_n in_o the_o christian_a church_n and_o not_o by_o he_o and_o his_o direct_a natural_a seed_n in_o the_o
