X. Magdalene Colledge founded 1459. VVIlliam Pattin commonly called Wainfleet from the place of his birth having been Provost of Eton juxta Winsor after Bishop of Winchester and Lord Chancellor of England about the thirty seaventh yeare of the reigne of King Henry the sixth founded first Magdalene Hall after that this Colledge where S. Iohns Hospitall had formerly been situated dedicating the same to the honour of S.
