and_o to_o take_v care_n of_o their_o soul_n do_v what_o in_o he_o lie_v 1._o to_o warn_v the_o ignorant_a and_o scandalous_a to_o abstain_v 2._o that_o he_o deny_v the_o sacrament_n to_o they_o if_o they_o presume_v to_o come_v that_o now_o in_o such_o a_o case_n the_o minister_n may_v and_o aught_o to_o take_v a_o account_n of_o his_o flock_n and_o pastoral_o to_o admonish_v the_o scandalous_a and_o to_o deter_v the_o unworthy_a what_o he_o can_v be_v easy_o grant_v i_o mr_n humphrey_n will_v yield_v this_o yea_o and_o something_o more_o that_o he_o may_v deny_v it_o to_o notorious_a sinner_n such_o as_o he_o call_v de_fw-fr jure_fw-la excommunicati_fw-la by_o which_o he_o only_o mean_v such_o as_o be_v fit_a to_o be_v hang_v mr_n jeanes_n likewise_o will_v yield_v this_o though_o he_o be_v not_o clear_a in_o allow_v to_o the_o minister_n more_o than_o a_o doctrinal_a power_n to_o keep_v away_o any_o but_o all_o the_o question_n be_v whether_o the_o single_a minister_n in_o such_o a_o case_n if_o the_o ignorant_a and_o scandalous_a person_n will_v not_o keep_v away_o may_v deny_v the_o ordinance_n to_o he_o 1._o that_o he_o can_v formal_o pronounce_v a_o church_n censure_n against_o he_o i_o yield_v 2._o that_o he_o can_v take_v he_o and_o turn_v he_o out_o by_o head_n and_o shoulder_n i_o grant_v too_o the_o question_n therefore_o be_v narrow_v up_o to_o this_o suppose_v such_o a_o minister_n know_v one_o to_o be_v notorious_o ignorant_a or_o scandalous_a who_o have_v give_v no_o evidence_n of_o his_o repentance_n and_o this_o wretch_n notwithstanding_o his_o pastor_n admonition_n of_o he_o to_o keep_v away_o will_v yet_o when_o the_o day_n of_o administration_n come_v press_v in_o among_o the_o communicant_n whether_o the_o minister_n shall_v sin_v if_o he_o deliver_v it_o from_o hand_n to_o hand_n in_o pass_v by_o such_o a_o one_o and_o not_o give_v it_o to_o he_o or_o if_o he_o deliver_v it_o at_o once_o to_o all_o and_o see_v such_o a_o one_o there_o and_o declare_v either_o more_o general_o that_o the_o element_n be_v only_o provide_v for_o and_o give_v unto_o such_o as_o have_v approve_v themselves_o unto_o he_o or_o if_o he_o think_v fit_a to_o declare_v particular_o that_o whereas_o there_o be_v such_o and_o such_o there_o who_o he_o have_v find_v ignorant_a or_o have_v be_v scandalous_a and_o as_o yet_o give_v no_o satisfaction_n he_o do_v not_o intend_v they_o or_o any_o of_o they_o in_o his_o general_a delivery_n of_o the_o ordinance_n i_o maintain_v the_o negative_a that_o he_o shall_v not_o sin_n yea_o that_o he_o shall_v sin_v if_o he_o shall_v not_o do_v it_o it_o be_v the_o only_a course_n he_o can_v take_v to_o fulfil_v christ_n command_n and_o not_o be_v guilty_a of_o give_v holy_a thing_n to_o dog_n etc._n etc._n to_o the_o forementioned_a argument_n i_o shall_v add_v one_o more_o if_o in_o such_o a_o case_n the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n can_v show_v himself_o a_o faithful_a steward_n of_o god_n mystery_n argument_n 2_o except_o he_o do_v deny_v the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n to_o the_o ignorant_a and_o scandalous_a though_o he_o want_v a_o eldership_n than_o he_o may_v in_o case_n of_o such_o a_o defect_n in_o the_o church_n deny_v the_o lord_n supper_n to_o such_o but_o though_o there_o be_v a_o eldership_n want_v in_o the_o church_n yet_o if_o the_o minister_n give_v that_o ordinance_n to_o the_o ignorant_a and_o scandalous_a he_o can_v in_o it_o show_v himself_o a_o faithful_a steward_n of_o god_n mystery_n ergo._n to_o prove_v the_o consequence_n i_o shall_v need_v but_o prove_v these_o thing_n 1._o that_o a_o minister_n be_v steward_n of_o the_o mystery_n of_o god_n 2._o that_o the_o sacrament_n be_v some_o of_o those_o mystery_n commit_v to_o his_o stewardship_n 3._o that_o he_o must_v be_v faithful_a in_o his_o stewardship_n 1._o that_o a_o minister_n be_v a_o steward_n of_o god_n mystery_n be_v clear_a they_o be_v the_o word_n of_o the_o apostle_n 1_o cor._n 4.1_o 2._o that_o the_o sacrament_n be_v some_o of_o those_o mystery_n be_v clear_a 1._o by_o consider_v that_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d be_v the_o know_v greek_a word_n to_o express_v a_o sacrament_n if_o not_o the_o only_a one_o 2._o from_o that_o which_o be_v general_o grant_v that_o none_o but_o the_o minister_n may_v dispense_v they_o 3._o that_o they_o must_v be_v
