a_o proclamation_n for_o apprehend_v the_o lord_n bellendine_n edinburgh_n the_o four_o day_n of_o july_n 1689._o the_o lord_n high_a commissioner_n and_o lord_n of_o his_o majesty_n privy_a council_n be_v well_o inform_v of_o the_o horrid_a murder_n commit_v by_o john_n lord_n bellendine_n on_o the_o three_o of_o this_o instant_a july_n upon_o one_o of_o his_o majesty_n soldier_n under_o the_o command_n of_o major_a general_n m_o ccay_fw-fr without_o any_o occasion_n or_o provocation_n therefore_o the_o lord_n of_o his_o majesty_n privy_a council_n in_o his_o majesty_n name_n and_o authority_n have_v think_v fit_a by_o open_a proclamation_n to_o certify_v the_o liege_n of_o this_o inhuman_a murder_n and_o do_v require_v all_o magistrate_n soldier_n and_o other_o liege_n to_o do_v their_o outmost_a endeavour_n and_o diligence_n to_o apprehend_v the_o say_a lord_n bellendine_n that_o he_o may_v be_v bring_v to_o condign_a punishment_n especial_o such_o of_o the_o liege_n as_o life_n at_o pass_n or_o ferries_n and_o in_o case_n any_o of_o the_o liege_n may_v have_v see_v the_o say_a lord_n bellendine_n before_o they_o be_v certify_v of_o his_o crime_n and_o require_v to_o apprehend_v he_o that_o immediate_o upon_o intimation_n of_o this_o proclamation_n these_o person_n give_v notice_n to_o the_o next_o magistrate_n justice_n of_o peace_n officer_n of_o the_o army_n or_o constable_n where_o they_o do_v see_v the_o say_a lord_n bellendine_n since_o the_o commit_n of_o the_o say_a murder_n to_o the_o effect_n he_o may_v be_v pursue_v and_o seize_v indemnify_v hereby_o any_o person_n from_o the_o hazard_n of_o slaughter_n mutilation_n or_o any_o other_o act_n of_o violence_n which_o they_o may_v commit_v against_o the_o say_a lord_n bellendine_n or_o any_o person_n with_o he_o in_o apprehend_v of_o he_o and_o for_o the_o further_a encouragement_n of_o this_o service_n the_o lord_n of_o his_o majesty_n privy_a council_n do_v promise_n and_o assure_v the_o sum_n of_o two_o thousand_o mark_n scot_n to_o any_o person_n or_o person_n who_o shall_v seize_v the_o say_a lord_n bellendine_n and_o deliver_v he_o to_o any_o of_o his_o majesty_n magistrate_n or_o officer_n of_o his_o army_n discharge_v hereby_o any_o of_o his_o majesty_n liege_n to_o shelter_n harbour_n or_o any_o way_n assist_v or_o supply_v the_o say_a lord_n bellendine_n upon_o their_o high_a peril_n and_o ordain_v these_o present_n to_o be_v print_v and_o publish_v by_o macer_n pursuivant_n or_o messenger_n at_o the_o mercat_n cross_n of_o edinburgh_n or_o any_o other_o place_n necessary_a extract_v by_o i_o gilb_n eliot_n cls._n sti._n concilii_fw-la edinburgh_n print_v by_o the_o heir_n of_o andrew_n anderson_n by_o order_n of_o the_o privy_a council_n anno_fw-la dom._n 1689._o
