especial_o when_o they_o be_v join_v together_o labour_n all_o to_o come_v in_o and_o join_v with_o the_o saint_n in_o the_o near_a union_n that_o be_v possible_a in_o that_o fellowship_n wherein_o you_o may_v as_o near_o as_o can_v be_v have_v fellowship_n only_o with_o they_o especial_o that_o have_v the_o appearance_n of_o such_o the_o mixture_n of_o our_o communion_n do_v much_o hinder_v the_o lord_n they_o know_v it_o be_v not_o in_o vain_a again_o this_o be_v a_o evidence_n that_o there_o be_v much_o advantage_n by_o prayer_n because_o man_n that_o be_v wise_a and_o holy_a have_v so_o prize_v the_o prayer_n of_o the_o saint_n and_o make_v such_o high_a account_n of_o they_o mark_v the_o expression_n of_o the_o apostle_n write_v to_o the_o saint_n for_o their_o prayer_n rom._n 15.30_o now_o i_o beseech_v you_o brethren_z for_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n sake_n and_o for_o the_o love_n of_o the_o spirit_n that_o you_o strive_v together_o in_o prayer_n with_o i_o in_o your_o heart_n to_o god_n for_o i_o the_o apostle_n paul_n so_o great_a a_o man_n and_o one_o that_o have_v a_o mighty_a spirit_n in_o prayer_n write_v to_o private_a christian_n in_o the_o church_n be_v not_o able_a to_o pray_v this_o be_v a_o argument_n that_o prayer_n be_v prevalent_a because_o when_o god_n will_v not_o show_v mercy_n he_o will_v not_o have_v such_o a_o precious_a thing_n lose_v and_o spend_v in_o vain_a last_o it_o be_v not_o in_o vain_a because_o if_o it_o shall_v than_o a_o pray_a heart_n be_v not_o always_o a_o mercy_n from_o god_n but_o certain_o it_o be_v therefore_o though_o perhaps_o you_o can_v find_v the_o thing_n grant_v that_o you_o pray_v for_o yet_o to_o have_v a_o continual_a pray_v heart_n know_v that_o it_o be_v a_o great_a mercy_n from_o god_n and_o those_o that_o be_v spiritual_a prize_n more_o the_o continuance_n of_o a_o pray_a heart_n many_o time_n than_o the_o grant_n of_o the_o thing_n they_o pray_v for_o all_o these_o put_v together_o be_v full_a evidence_n that_o it_o be_v not_o in_o vain_a to_o seek_v the_o lord_n there_o be_v many_o other_o evidence_n which_o i_o pass_v by_o on_o purpose_n that_o i_o may_v have_v as_o much_o time_n as_o may_v be_v for_o application_n but_o now_o wherein_o do_v it_o appear_v that_o it_o be_v not_o in_o vain_a to_o seek_v the_o lord_n what_o do_v prayer_n do_v first_o it_o be_v not_o in_o vain_a to_o seek_v god_n if_o there_o be_v nothing_o else_o in_o prayer_n but_o the_o right_a exercise_n of_o the_o faculty_n of_o our_o soul_n and_o of_o our_o grace_n this_o alone_o be_v worth_a our_o time_n the_o grace_n of_o our_o soul_n must_v be_v exercise_v about_o somewhat_o now_o prayer_n serve_v for_o the_o exercise_n of_o all_o grace_n second_o it_o be_v not_o in_o vain_a if_o it_o be_v nothing_o but_o the_o performance_n of_o our_o duty_n as_o creature_n to_o god_n there_o be_v many_o people_n that_o be_v weary_a of_o prayer_n because_o they_o have_v not_o that_o by_o it_o that_o they_o expect_v but_o know_v that_o there_o be_v two_o argument_n to_o prayer_n the_o performance_n of_o duty_n and_o the_o obtain_n of_o mercy_n if_o there_o be_v but_o only_o the_o former_a that_o alone_o shall_v suffice_v to_o keep_v thou_o pray_v as_o long_o as_o thou_o live_v three_o it_o be_v not_o in_o vain_a if_o it_o be_v nothing_o but_o the_o tender_v that_o homage_n and_o worship_n that_o we_o owe_v to_o god_n prayer_n be_v not_o only_o a_o duty_n but_o a_o great_a part_n of_o the_o worship_n that_o god_n have_v in_o the_o world_n while_o we_o be_v worship_v of_o god_n it_o be_v worth_a the_o time_n again_o it_o be_v not_o in_o vain_a if_o there_o be_v nothing_o but_o this_o that_o we_o come_v and_o show_v what_o side_n we_o be_v of_o that_o we_o join_v and_o side_n with_o god_n against_o his_o adversary_n and_o for_o his_o people_n but_o these_o be_v not_o the_o thing_n here_o intend_v further_o it_o be_v not_o in_o vain_a because_o there_o be_v no_o faithful_a prayer_n that_o ever_o be_v make_v but_o god_n accept_v of_o it_o in_o heaven_n there_o be_v never_o one_o of_o the_o seed_n of_o jacob_n that_o ever_o put_v up_o a_o faithful_a petition_n to_o god_n but_o god_n take_v it_o in_o his_o hand_n and_o read_v it_o a_o king_n or_o any_o superior_a when_o you_o come_v with_o a_o petition_n may_v refuse_v to_o take_v it_o but_o god_n never_o refuse_v to_o take_v any_o petition_n from_o a_o faithful_a soul_n therefore_o say_v the_o psalmist_n psal_n 6.9_o the_o lord_n have_v hear_v my_o supplication_n the_o lord_n will_v receive_v my_o that_o we_o have_v receive_v we_o be_v to_o attribute_v to_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n by_o prayer_n they_o be_v obtain_v by_o prayer_n let_v we_o still_o be_v encourage_v to_o seek_v god_n for_o what_o we_o will_v have_v for_o god_n have_v say_v it_o be_v not_o in_o vain_a to_o seek_v his_o face_n there_o be_v many_o of_o we_o now_o that_o can_v do_v little_a else_o if_o god_n have_v the_o rest_n we_o shall_v meet_v many_o prayer_n in_o heaven_n the_o prayer_n of_o our_o forefather_n the_o prayer_n of_o those_o that_o be_v dead_a and_o go_v that_o do_v not_o live_v to_o enjoy_v the_o fruit_n of_o their_o prayer_n yet_o when_o we_o pray_v for_o mercy_n our_o prayer_n meet_v with_o they_o in_o heaven_n therefore_o let_v we_o be_v encourage_v to_o seek_v the_o lord_n and_o if_o mercy_n shall_v come_v what_o a_o daunt_a will_v this_o be_v to_o our_o heart_n that_o mercy_n be_v come_v but_o we_o have_v not_o seek_v they_o and_o if_o mercy_n come_v not_o conscience_n will_v and_o bishop_n chancery_n they_o be_v down_o and_o go_v god_n have_v extirpate_v they_o they_o be_v first_o cast_v out_o of_o the_o house_n and_o now_o out_o of_o the_o kingdom_n and_o though_o a_o army_n do_v rise_v and_o seek_v to_o bring_v we_o into_o slavery_n yet_o god_n have_v give_v we_o victory_n though_o some_o have_v suffer_v hardly_o and_o bring_v the_o adversary_n very_o low_a to_o surrender_v their_o town_n and_o castle_n and_o arm_n and_o here_o we_o be_v to_o rejoice_v in_o god_n and_o to_o bless_v he_o for_o all_o if_o many_o of_o our_o ancestor_n shall_v rise_v and_o hear_v what_o we_o speak_v how_o we_o hold_v up_o our_o hand_n and_o bless_v god_n with_o what_o heart_n will_v they_o join_v in_o the_o praise_n of_o god_n and_o wonder_v that_o ever_o such_o thing_n when_o we_o make_v a_o right_a use_n of_o his_o mercy_n when_o we_o receive_v not_o his_o mercy_n in_o vain_a what_o be_v it_o to_o make_v use_n of_o the_o memorial_n we_o celebrate_v first_o the_o but_o though_o god_n have_v such_o a_o house_n in_o heaven_n yet_o he_o be_v not_o as_o it_o be_v content_v with_o that_o house_n but_o he_o desire_v another_o house_n he_o have_v a_o desire_n to_o zion_n to_o be_v his_o habitation_n and_o the_o house_n where_o his_o honour_n dwell_v you_o know_v a_o prince_n may_v have_v some_o house_n of_o mean_a regard_n when_o he_o go_v to_o his_o sport_n he_o may_v have_v a_o mean_a house_n to_o lodge_v in_o for_o a_o while_n but_o his_o palace_n where_o he_o show_v his_o majesty_n and_o honour_n that_o be_v more_o glorious_a so_o the_o people_n of_o god_n and_o the_o church_n be_v call_v the_o house_n of_o god_n honour_n it_o be_v not_o a_o mean_a house_n but_o a_o house_n of_o honour_n further_o it_o be_v that_o house_n that_o he_o mean_v to_o dwell_v in_o for_o ever_o he_o love_v it_o so_o well_o this_o be_v my_o house_n i_o will_v dwell_v in_o it_o for_o ever_o i_o be_o so_o well_o please_v with_o it_o i_o will_v rest_v in_o it_o for_o ever_o sure_o we_o have_v cause_n to_o rest_v our_o heart_n in_o god_n people_n when_o god_n find_v rest_n there_o and_o for_o ever_o it_o may_v be_v some_o of_o you_o be_v sometime_o acquaint_v that_o make_v heaven_n and_o earth_n bless_v thou_o either_o out_o of_o heaven_n or_o earth_n but_o out_o of_o zion_n as_o note_v that_o the_o choice_n mercy_n that_o god_n have_v to_o communicate_v
