mercy_n the_o latter_a part_n of_o my_o text_n will_v suggest_v something_o apposite_a to_o our_o case_n which_o be_v sum_v up_o in_o my_o second_o observation_n viz._n that_o a_o people_n profession_n of_o the_o true_a religion_n and_o be_v those_o who_o god_n have_v signal_o deliver_v and_o defend_v in_o time_n past_a may_v be_v humble_o plead_v with_o god_n as_o a_o argument_n for_o further_a deliverance_n for_o thus_o moses_n pray_v and_o plead_v in_o the_o text._n o_o lord_n destroy_v not_o thy_o people_n and_o thy_o inheritance_n which_o thou_o have_v redeem_v through_o thy_o greatness_n which_o thou_o have_v bring_v forth_o of_o the_o land_n of_o egypt_n with_o a_o mighty_a hand_n in_o which_o he_o seem_v to_o argue_v thus_o oh_o lord_n may_v it_o please_v thou_o to_o make_v the_o procedure_n of_o thy_o providence_n towards_o this_o people_n suitable_a to_o what_o it_o have_v be_v hitherto_o thou_o have_v hitherto_o preserve_v and_o defend_v they_o by_o astonish_a dispensation_n we_o can_v never_o forget_v that_o dreadful_a succession_n of_o miraculous_a plague_n which_o thou_o bring_v upon_o our_o enemy_n the_o egyptian_n how_o gross_o thou_o do_v infatuate_a that_o a_o argument_n may_v be_v make_v like_o that_o of_o abraham_n gen._n 18._o 24._o if_o there_o be_v fifty_o or_o forty_o or_o but_o ten_o righteous_a person_n will_v thou_o not_o spare_v the_o corrupt_a generality_n for_o the_o sake_n of_o this_o little_a sound_a part_n this_o we_o have_v great_a hope_n may_v be_v plead_v in_o the_o behalf_n of_o this_o nation_n yea_o of_o this_o city_n even_o in_o a_o far_o great_a number_n than_o that_o which_o abraham_n begin_v his_o plea_n with_o but_o true_o the_o number_n of_o the_o good_a be_v too_o too_o small_a and_o indeed_o except_o the_o
