handicraft_n man_n shall_v be_v reckon_v as_o object_n of_o charity_n which_o the_o committee_n of_o the_o college_n promise_v to_o endeavour_v now_o the_o college_n think_v they_o have_v surmount_v all_o difficulty_n and_o have_v attain_v their_o end_n but_o the_o apothecary_n company_n have_v get_v knowledge_n of_o our_o meeting_n with_o a_o committee_n of_o the_o city_n do_v not_o only_o draw_v up_o and_o present_v a_o paper_n to_o the_o committee_n of_o the_o city_n tend_v whole_o to_o frustrate_v the_o charitable_a end_n of_o our_o design_n which_o be_v sufficient_o answer_v troublesome_a and_o expensive_a office_n of_o their_o company_n and_o partly_o by_o charge_v they_o upon_o this_o compliance_n with_o the_o physician_n with_o breach_n of_o their_o oath_n to_o their_o company_n they_o affright_v most_o of_o these_o apothecary_n from_o this_o undertake_n as_o if_o their_o oath_n oblige_v they_o not_o to_o do_v any_o thing_n charitable_o september_n the_o four_o 1695._o the_o college_n make_v such_o addition_n to_o their_o order_n as_o the_o city-committee_n have_v desire_v at_o which_o meet_v the_o college_n do_v likewise_o approve_v and_o confirm_v all_o that_o have_v be_v do_v by_o their_o committee_n give_v they_o thanks_o for_o the_o care_n and_o trouble_v they_o have_v already_o take_v and_o desire_v they_o to_o proceed_v and_o perfect_v this_o college_n for_o their_o approbation_n but_o even_o this_o be_v also_o oppose_v by_o the_o apothecary_n company_n thus_o it_o appear_v that_o the_o apothecary_n be_v resolve_v to_o obstruct_v this_o charity_n in_o every_o particular_a the_o city-committee_n ask_v the_o physician_n then_o present_a whether_o their_o college_n will_v provide_v medicine_n for_o the_o poor_a at_o reasonable_a rate_n if_o the_o apothecary_n shall_v continue_v to_o refuse_v so_o to_o do_v to_o which_o they_o answer_v that_o they_o believe_v rather_o than_o so_o charitable_a a_o design_n shall_v fail_v the_o college_n will_v undertake_v it_o and_o promise_v that_o they_o will_v propose_v it_o at_o their_o next_o public_a college-meeting_n hereupon_o the_o city-committee_n be_v full_o satisfy_v with_o
