corinth_n may_v administer_v the_o lord_n supper_n in_o the_o church_n at_o cenchrea_n question_n ii_o whether_o may_v a_o member_n of_o the_o church_n at_o cenchrea_n partake_v of_o the_o lord_n supper_n administer_v there_o by_o a_o pastor_n of_o the_o church_n at_o corinth_n himself_n not_o be_v clear_a whether_o this_o act_n of_o the_o pastor_n of_o the_o church_n at_o corinth_n be_v not_o unwarrantable_a answer_n i_o conceive_v neither_o the_o one_o nor_o the_o other_o to_o be_v according_a to_o the_o rule_n but_o both_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o pastor_n of_o corinth_n in_o first_o inquire_v into_o the_o lawfulness_n of_o the_o pastor_n of_o corinth_n administration_n of_o the_o supper_n in_o the_o church_n of_o cenchrea_n there_o be_v three_o point_n the_o consideration_n whereof_o will_v not_o be_v impertinent_a for_o the_o clear_n of_o the_o presert_n case_n viz._n i._o concern_v office_n and_o office-power_n in_o the_o church_n ii_o concern_v idle_a and_o curious_a brain_n of_o those_o that_o reap_v profit_n by_o the_o fiction_n but_o it_o be_v a_o spiritual_a relation_n to_o which_o the_o institution_n of_o christ_n give_v a_o be_v and_o a_o right_n authority_n or_o power_n correspondent_a thereunto_o and_o hence_o it_o have_v a_o double_a object_n by_o which_o it_o be_v limit_v and_o terminate_v namely_o the_o church_n and_o the_o act_n proper_a to_o the_o office_n first_o the_o officer_n as_o a_o officer_n be_v a_o correlate_n to_o that_o church_n over_o which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v set_v he_o but_o beyond_o that_o church_n his_o relation_n as_o a_o officer_n extend_v not_o at_o all_o to_o other_o over_o which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v not_o set_v he_o the_o nature_n of_o relate_v be_v such_o as_o that_o they_o mutual_o give_v and_o receive_v be_v from_o each_o other_o and_o thence_o the_o one_o be_v not_o a_o relate_v but_o with_o reference_n to_o the_o other_o and_o hence_o remove_v that_o reference_n and_o you_o take_v away_o its_o be_v and_o consequent_o cut_v off_o and_o intercept_v all_o its_o operation_n as_o such_o for_o that_o which_o have_v no_o be_v can_v put_v forth_o no_o operation_n hence_o it_o follow_v that_o the_o officer_n of_o a_o church_n have_v no_o be_v as_o a_o officer_n but_o in_o the_o church_n and_o whole_o with_o reference_n to_o it_o the_o language_n a_o father_n abide_v a_o father_n when_o he_o be_v in_o another_o man_n house_n yet_o have_v no_o paternal_a authority_n over_o any_o child_n but_o his_o own_o yea_o i_o will_v grant_v further_o that_o the_o pastor_n of_o the_o church_n of_o corinth_n be_v to_o be_v honour_v with_o singular_a esteem_n by_o the_o church_n of_o cenchrea_n not_o only_o for_o his_o eminent_a excel_v in_o spiritual_a gift_n and_o grace_n but_o also_o because_o the_o lord_n jesus_n have_v put_v honour_n upon_o he_o in_o call_v he_o to_o such_o a_o place_n and_o vest_v he_o with_o such_o a_o office_n in_o one_o of_o his_o church_n nay_o i_o will_v moreover_o yield_v the_o pastor_n of_o the_o church_n of_o corinth_n to_o be_v a_o ordinance_n of_o god_n for_o good_a to_o all_o the_o member_n of_o the_o church_n of_o cenchrea_n so_o indeed_o he_o be_v in_o his_o feed_n of_o the_o church_n of_o corinth_n with_o a_o word_n of_o wisdom_n to_o all_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o that_o city_n be_v a_o vessel_n that_o carry_v precious_a treasure_n and_o hold_v forth_o unto_o all_o that_o hear_v his_o preach_v the_o word_n of_o life_n and_o so_o be_v the_o church_n itself_o of_o corinth_n it_o be_v
