this_o state_n when_o make_v in_o it_o how_o shall_v i_o continue_v in_o it_o when_o restore_v to_o it_o he_o will_v therefore_o supply_v this_o want_n too_o for_o have_v restore_v my_o soul_n in_o righteousness_n he_o will_v lead_v i_o in_o the_o path_n of_o righteousness_n that_o though_o leave_v to_o myself_o i_o take_v a_o wrong_a guide_n and_o go_v astray_o yet_o when_o he_o lead_v i_o that_o be_v the_o way_n itself_o i_o may_v be_v sure_a i_o can_v possible_o go_v out_o of_o the_o way_n but_o alas_o o_o lord_n these_o path_n of_o righteousness_n have_v a_o long_a time_n so_o little_o be_v frequent_v that_o all_o print_n of_o a_o path_n be_v almost_o clean_o wear_v out_o that_o it_o be_v a_o hard_a matter_n now_o but_o to_o find_v where_o the_o path_n lie_v and_o if_o we_o can_v find_v they_o yet_o they_o be_v so_o narrow_a and_o so_o full_a of_o rub_v that_o without_o special_a assistance_n it_o be_v a_o impossible_a thing_n not_o to_o fall_v or_o go_v astray_o even_o some_o angel_n and_o those_o no_o mean_a one_o be_v not_o able_a to_o go_v right_a in_o these_o path_n of_o righteousness_n but_o for_o want_v of_o lead_v go_v awry_o and_o perish_v o_o therefore_o thou_o the_o great_a shepherd_n of_o my_o soul_n as_o thou_o be_v please_v of_o thy_o grace_n to_o lead_v i_o into_o they_o so_o vouchsafe_v with_o thy_o grace_n to_o lead_v i_o in_o they_o for_o though_o in_o themselves_o they_o be_v path_n of_o righteousness_n yet_o to_o i_o they_o will_v be_v but_o path_n of_o error_n if_o thou_o vouchsafe_v not_o as_o well_o to_o lead_v i_o in_o they_o as_o into_o they_o o_o the_o comfortable_a path_n of_o righteousness_n the_o very_a path_n in_o which_o enoch_n walk_v with_o god_n and_o which_o walk_v in_o as_o they_o shall_v be_v will_v bring_v of_o the_o lord_n shall_v continue_v when_o the_o world_n itself_o shall_v fade_v away_o and_o though_o inquire_v after_o news_n be_v a_o vain_a fancy_n yet_o to_o inquire_v in_o god_n temple_n be_v the_o way_n to_o learn_v there_o be_v no_o new_a thing_n under_o the_o sun_n and_o there_o it_o be_v that_o solomon_n learn_v that_o all_o be_v vanity_n indeed_o this_o one_o thing_n that_o david_n desire_n be_v in_o effect_n that_o unum_n necessarium_fw-la that_o christ_n speak_v of_o in_o the_o gospel_n which_o mary_n make_v choice_n of_o there_o as_o david_n do_v here_o and_o i_o may_v say_v and_o range_v about_o from_o one_o object_n to_o another_o like_o vagabond_n from_o place_n to_o place_n and_o no_o help_n there_o will_v be_v for_o it_o till_o our_o desire_n arrive_v at_o that_o which_o be_v the_o best_a for_o as_o long_o as_o there_o be_v any_o better_a to_o be_v have_v the_o desire_n will_v never_o leave_v desire_v and_o where_o be_v that_o best_a to_o be_v have_v but_o in_o he_o only_o that_o be_v only_o good_a in_o he_o indeed_o that_o be_v the_o only_a good_a and_o see_v there_o can_v be_v no_o happiness_n till_o the_o desire_n be_v settle_v and_o the_o desire_n will_v never_o be_v settle_v till_o we_o come_v at_o god_n therefore_o no_o mean_n so_o likely_a to_o make_v we_o happy_a as_o to_o dwell_v in_o god_n house_n for_o there_o we_o be_v sure_o we_o shall_v be_v with_o he_o and_o once_o with_o he_o never_o have_v desire_n to_o any_o thing_n beside_o he_o there_o be_v other_o house_n which_o in_o worldly_a consideration_n and_o to_o worldly_a mind_n may_v seem_v as_o convenient_a and_o perhaps_o be_v more_o profitable_a to_o dwell_v in_o than_o this_o house_n of_o god_n but_o that_o which_o make_v i_o so_o desirous_a to_o dwell_v here_o rather_o than_o any_o where_o else_o be_v partly_o for_o the_o prospect_n that_o i_o may_v behold_v the_o beauty_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o partly_o for_o instruction_n that_o i_o may_v inquire_v in_o his_o holy_a temple_n for_o there_o be_v not_o such_o a_o prospect_n again_o in_o the_o world_n as_o this_o not_o on_o the_o mount_n where_o christ_n be_v show_v all_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o earth_n and_o the_o glory_n of_o they_o nor_o such_o another_o place_n for_o instruction_n as_o here_o not_o all_o the_o school_n of_o philosopher_n not_o all_o the_o oracle_n of_o the_o heathen_a in_o any_o degree_n to_o be_v compare_v with_o it_o and_o what_o then_o be_v this_o beauty_n of_o god_n which_o david_n be_v so_o desirous_a to_o behold_v what_o this_o house_n of_o god_n in_o which_o he_o desire_v to_o dwell_v there_o be_v a_o beauty_n of_o god_n in_o his_o creature_n most_o glorious_a indeed_o and_o most_o worthy_a of_o behold_v but_o yet_o this_o need_v no_o dwell_n in_o god_n house_n to_o see_v it_o we_o may_v see_v it_o as_o well_o dwell_v any_o where_o else_o but_o there_o be_v a_o beauty_n of_o god_n in_o himself_o a_o beauty_n which_o if_o once_o we_o see_v we_o god_n in_o some_o more_o eminent_o a_o certain_a tincture_n of_o this_o beauty_n and_o be_v perhaps_o that_o which_o deceive_v we_o in_o the_o estimate_v of_o our_o happiness_n because_o we_o take_v tincture_n for_o substance_n and_o fix_v ourselves_o upon_o that_o which_o be_v make_v but_o only_o for_o a_o passage_n for_o tincture_n though_o they_o please_v for_o a_o time_n yet_o they_o soon_o wear_v out_o and_o decay_n no_o solidness_n nor_o durableness_n but_o in_o the_o substance_n itself_o and_o no_o substance_n of_o beauty_n but_o only_o in_o god_n and_o therefore_o the_o true_a happiness_n indeed_o all_o true_a happiness_n in_o only_a the_o behold_n of_o this_o beauty_n and_o if_o any_o man_n doubt_n of_o this_o because_o see_v be_v but_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o one_o sense_n and_o happiness_n give_v satisfaction_n at_o least_o to_o all_o the_o sense_n let_v he_o then_o hear_v what_o david_n in_o another_o place_n say_v videte_fw-la &_o gustate_fw-la quam_fw-la only_o behold_v imply_v a_o permanencie_n and_o a_o fix_v our_o eye_n upon_o it_o and_o such_o be_v the_o see_v that_o be_v the_o essential_a sense_n of_o happiness_n and_o what_o then_o be_v this_o house_n of_o god_n in_o which_o david_n desire_v to_o dwell_v have_v god_n any_o other_o house_n then_o heaven_n and_o will_v david_n dwell_v in_o heaven_n whilst_o he_o be_v dwell_v upon_o earth_n will_v nothing_o serve_v his_o turn_n but_o to_o ask_v god_n for_o impossibility_n indeed_o heaven_n be_v god_n throne_n but_o heaven_n and_o earth_n both_o be_v full_a of_o the_o majesty_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o therefore_o god_n have_v a_o house_n on_o earth_n too_o a_o house_n dedicate_v to_o the_o honour_n of_o his_o name_n and_o david_n just_o make_v his_o prayer_n for_o this_o house_n because_o indeed_o it_o be_v the_o house_n of_o prayer_n and_o no_o rent_n pay_v for_o dwell_v in_o it_o
praise_n but_o why_o be_v david_n so_o sudden_o turn_v from_o sing_v to_o cry_v that_o he_o shall_v fall_v so_o present_o to_o say_v hear_v i_o o_o lord_n when_o i_o cry_v with_o my_o voice_n be_v it_o that_o he_o find_v god_n not_o well_o please_v with_o his_o sing_n and_o therefore_o mean_v to_o try_v what_o he_o can_v do_v with_o cry_v or_o be_v it_o that_o he_o think_v himself_o better_a hasty_a to_o promise_v god_n to_o seek_v his_o face_n as_o though_o it_o be_v in_o my_o own_o power_n to_o seek_v it_o at_o my_o pleasure_n alas_o how_o can_v i_o choose_v but_o promise_v it_o when_o violence_n unto_o they_o every_o amiableness_n be_v not_o so_o great_a to_o make_v a_o longing_n nor_o every_o longing_n so_o great_a to_o make_v a_o faint_a nor_o every_o faint_a so_o great_a to_o make_v the_o soul_n to_o faint_v oh_o then_o consider_v how_o great_a this_o amiableness_n be_v which_o make_v my_o soul_n not_o only_o to_o long_o but_o to_o faint_v with_o longing_n and_o blame_v i_o not_o for_o faint_v as_o though_o it_o be_v my_o own_o fault_n that_o will_v not_o restrain_v my_o longing_n for_o see_v his_o tabernacle_n be_v of_o infinite_a amiableness_n they_o must_v needs_o work_v in_o i_o a_o infinite_a delight_v and_o that_o delight_v a_o infinite_a longing_n and_o what_o restraint_n can_v there_o be_v of_o that_o which_o be_v infinite_a no_o alas_o my_o faint_a be_v but_o answerable_a to_o my_o longing_n and_o my_o longing_n but_o answerable_a to_o the_o amiableness_n if_o i_o have_v the_o offer_n make_v i_o which_o be_v make_v to_o christ_n to_o enjoy_v all_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o earth_n but_o with_o condition_n to_o want_v the_o court_n of_o the_o lord_n this_o want_n will_v bring_v to_o my_o soul_n a_o great_a grief_n than_o that_o enjoy_n will_v give_v it_o contentment_n for_o see_v his_o tabernacle_n be_v so_o amiable_a where_o he_o be_v lord_n of_o host_n how_o amiable_a must_v they_o needs_o be_v where_o he_o be_v prince_n of_o peace_n and_o prince_n of_o peace_n he_o be_v in_o his_o court_n though_o in_o his_o camp_n he_o be_v lord_n of_o host_n and_o that_o you_o may_v know_v it_o be_v not_o the_o weakness_n of_o my_o soul_n that_o it_o faint_v with_o longing_n for_o indeed_o weak_a spirit_n be_v apt_a to_o faint_v upon_o every_o light_a occasion_n but_o that_o it_o be_v the_o very_a operation_n of_o the_o wonderful_a attractive_a power_n that_o be_v in_o the_o amiableness_n of_o his_o court_n see_v my_o heart_n and_o my_o flesh_n also_o how_o they_o be_v draw_v to_o long_a after_o the_o lord_n which_o they_o will_v never_o do_v if_o it_o be_v not_o for_o some_o wonderful_a amiableness_n that_o be_v in_o he_o for_o you_o may_v well_o think_v it_o must_v be_v a_o adamant_n of_o a_o wonderful_a attractive_a power_n that_o can_v draw_v these_o heavy_a i_o ron_n of_o my_o heart_n and_o my_o flesh_n unto_o it_o for_o indeed_o though_o my_o soul_n have_v a_o longing_n for_o the_o court_n of_o the_o lord_n yet_o my_o body_n perhaps_o can_v be_v content_a to_o want_v they_o there_o be_v court_n in_o the_o world_n that_o may_v please_v my_o body_n as_o well_o perhaps_o better_a than_o these_o but_o god_n forbid_v god_n forbid_v i_o shall_v be_v one_o to_o have_v my_o soul_n and_o body_n divide_v while_o they_o be_v unite_v to_o have_v my_o soul_n run_v one_o way_n and_o my_o body_n another_o no_o i_o be_o none_o of_o those_o but_o assoon_o as_o my_o soul_n long_v for_o the_o court_n of_o the_o lord_n my_o heart_n and_o my_o flesh_n fall_v a_o longing_n for_o the_o live_a god_n as_o my_o soul_n long_v for_o the_o place_n so_o my_o heart_n and_o my_o flesh_n for_o the_o person_n for_o my_o heart_n and_o my_o flesh_n be_v of_o a_o dull_a apprehension_n they_o must_v have_v a_o present_a enjoy_v of_o that_o they_o long_o for_o or_o they_o can_v be_v satisfy_v but_o my_o soul_n be_v of_o a_o clear_a sight_n and_o know_v if_o it_o can_v but_o come_v to_o the_o place_n where_o he_o be_v it_o shall_v be_v sure_a withal_o to_o enjoy_v his_o presence_n and_o with_o his_o presence_n his_o person_n the_o soul_n indeed_o be_v a_o spiritual_a substance_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v natural_a to_o the_o soul_n to_o long_o after_o spiritual_a thing_n but_o the_o flesh_n be_v a_o earthly_a substance_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v natural_a to_o the_o flesh_n to_o long_o after_o earthly_a thing_n and_o as_o long_o as_o these_o two_o be_v link_v in_o the_o body_n together_o they_o will_v always_o be_v work_v upon_o one_o another_o always_o seek_v to_o draw_v each_o other_o to_o their_o party_n and_o if_o the_o soul_n can_v draw_v the_o flesh_n to_o go_v her_o spiritual_a way_n than_o all_o be_v well_o it_o be_v as_o it_o shall_v be_v but_o if_o the_o flesh_n draw_v the_o soul_n to_o go_v her_o earthly_a way_n than_o all_o be_v out_o of_o order_n there_o will_v be_v no_o longing_n for_o the_o court_n of_o the_o lord_n for_o they_o be_v spiritual_a and_o be_v never_o long_v for_o but_o where_o the_o soul_n be_v predominant_a and_o have_v the_o lead_n and_o this_o be_v the_o order_n in_o david_n longing_n first_o his_o soul_n begin_v to_o long_a for_o the_o court_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o this_o be_v yet_o but_o a_o single_a cord_n but_o then_o come_v in_o the_o heart_n and_o the_o flesh_n too_o and_o make_v it_o a_o cord_n of_o three_o that_o be_v wear_v silk_n and_o soft_a raiment_n because_o so_o it_o be_v fit_a for_o the_o honour_n of_o the_o place_n and_o they_o that_o will_v be_v in_o the_o court_n of_o the_o lord_n must_v likewise_o wear_v raiment_n that_o be_v fit_a for_o the_o holiness_n of_o the_o place_n they_o must_v be_v clothe_v with_o the_o soft_a raiment_n of_o meekness_n and_o humility_n they_o must_v put_v on_o the_o as_o son_n for_o neither_o tenant_n nor_o servant_n abide_v in_o the_o house_n for_o ever_o only_o the_o son_n abide_v for_o ever_o and_o therefore_o though_o the_o house_n of_o god_n seem_v a_o mean_a title_n than_o his_o tabernacle_n and_o his_o court_n yet_o to_o we_o it_o be_v the_o more_o comfortable_a title_n see_v it_o make_v we_o to_o be_v son_n which_o neither_o his_o tabernacle_n nor_o his_o court_n can_v do_v but_o how_o appear_v it_o to_o be_v true_a that_o they_o who_o dwell_v in_o god_n house_n will_v always_o be_v praise_v he_o see_v it_o be_v but_o seldom_o see_v that_o master_n that_o make_v they_o to_o praise_v he_o for_o when_o they_o see_v the_o admirable_a o_o economy_n of_o his_o government_n when_o they_o see_v how_o sweet_o he_o dispose_v all_o thing_n in_o weight_n and_o measure_n when_o they_o find_v he_o to_o use_v they_o more_o like_a child_n than_o servant_n what_o heart_n can_v be_v so_o ungrateful_a as_o not_o to_o praise_v he_o and_o see_v by_o dwell_v in_o god_n house_n they_o see_v these_o thing_n continual_o therefore_o they_o that_o dwell_v in_o his_o house_n will_v always_o be_v praise_v he_o but_o be_v it_o not_o a_o strange_a reason_n of_o blessedness_n to_o say_v they_o be_v bless_v because_o they_o be_v still_o praise_v he_o to_o be_v praise_v themselves_o may_v perhaps_o be_v some_o blessedness_n but_o what_o blessedness_n can_v it_o be_v to_o praise_v another_o indeed_o if_o that_o other_o be_v but_o such_o another_o as_o ourselves_o it_o can_v be_v none_o but_o when_o that_o other_o be_v such_o as_o that_o there_o be_v not_o such_o another_o or_o rather_o not_o another_o at_o all_o to_o praise_v such_o a_o one_o certain_o must_v needs_o be_v blessedness_n or_o there_o can_v be_v none_o and_o such_o a_o one_o be_v god_n for_o alas_o what_o be_v we_o but_o that_o in_o he_o we_o live_v and_o move_v and_o have_v our_o be_v he_o only_o be_v all_o in_o all._n o_o my_o soul_n if_o it_o be_v not_o for_o praise_v of_o god_n there_o have_v never_o be_v create_v such_o a_o thing_n as_o praise_n at_o least_o we_o may_v just_o say_v that_o god_n and_o praise_v be_v as_o true_o relative_n as_o any_o that_o be_v find_v in_o either_o art_n or_o nature_n you_o may_v say_v then_o it_o be_v like_a to_o be_v a_o easy_a matter_n to_o be_v bless_v if_o there_o go_v no_o more_o to_o blessedness_n but_o praise_v
my_o soul_n aspire_v for_o only_o this_o crown_n make_v sin_n and_o death_n to_o be_v my_o subject_n rebellious_a sin_n that_o can_v never_o be_v bring_v into_o subjection_n but_o only_o by_o this_o crown_n o_o god_n of_o thy_o love_a kindness_n and_o tender_a mercy_n these_o indeed_o be_v consequence_n most_o worthy_a to_o be_v remember_v but_o yet_o perhaps_o not_o apt_a to_o be_v remember_v for_o be_v they_o not_o of_o too_o high_a a_o strain_n and_o what_o the_o understanding_n do_v not_o well_o apprehend_v the_o memory_n do_v not_o easy_o retain_v he_o will_v therefore_o descend_v to_o benefit_n of_o a_o low_a verse_n 5_o rank_n he_o satisfi_v thy_o mouth_n with_o good_a thing_n and_o renew_v thy_o youth_n like_o the_o eagle_n this_o no_o doubt_n be_v apt_a to_o be_v remember_v because_o it_o fall_v within_o the_o compass_n of_o sense_n for_o who_o be_v not_o sensible_a of_o good_a thing_n and_o special_o when_o they_o be_v good_a thing_n for_o the_o mouth_n for_o all_o the_o labour_n of_o man_n be_v for_o the_o mouth_n all_o that_o the_o hand_n work_v for_o and_o all_o that_o the_o foot_n toil_v about_o be_v all_o but_o for_o the_o mouth_n so_o long_o as_o we_o may_v have_v green_a pasture_n and_o still_o water_n so_o long_o as_o we_o may_v have_v meat_n and_o drink_v not_o only_o to_o satisfy_v hunger_n but_o to_o please_v the_o palate_n we_o care_v not_o great_o for_o any_o thing_n else_o but_o o_o my_o soul_n these_o be_v not_o the_o good_a thing_n that_o be_v here_o mean_v and_o yet_o even_o this_o perhaps_o be_v worth_a the_o care_v for_o if_o it_o may_v continue_v but_o alas_o the_o day_n will_v come_v when_o i_o shall_v say_v i_o have_v no_o pleasure_n in_o they_o the_o time_n will_v come_v when_o my_o mouth_n will_v lose_v its_o taste_n and_o what_o good_a then_o will_v these_o good_a thing_n of_o the_o mouth_n do_v i_o no_o my_o soul_n no_o fear_n here_o of_o old_a age_n no_o fear_n of_o defect_n by_o reason_n of_o year_n for_o thy_o youth_n shall_v be_v renew_v like_o the_o eagle_n there_o shall_v be_v no_o loosen_a here_o of_o the_o silver_n cord_n no_o break_n of_o the_o golden_a bowl_n but_o as_o the_o eagle_n by_o mew_v her_o feather_n renew_v her_o youth_n so_o thou_o my_o soul_n by_o mew_v thy_o feather_n which_o be_v by_o cast_v off_o this_o frail_a tabernacle_n of_o thy_o flesh_n shall_v perpetual_o be_v keep_v by_o the_o powerful_a hand_n of_o god_n in_o a_o state_n of_o vigour_n indeed_o the_o life_n we_o live_v now_o be_v the_o great_a part_v no_o life_n for_o childhood_n be_v scarce_o come_v to_o it_o and_o old_a age_n be_v almost_o past_o it_o no_o time_n proper_o remain_v to_o life_n but_o only_o the_o short_a time_n of_o youth_n but_o the_o life_n that_o god_n have_v in_o store_n for_o they_o that_o fear_v he_o not_o only_o shall_v be_v always_o but_o shall_v be_v always_o youth_n and_o no_o defect_n of_o age_n shall_v be_v able_a to_o take_v hold_n upon_o it_o but_o may_v we_o not_o now_o begin_v anew_o and_o conceive_v rather_o that_o when_o david_n call_v upon_o his_o soul_n to_o bless_v the_o lord_n and_o not_o to_o forget_v all_o his_o benefit_n he_o mean_v he_o will_v have_v it_o to_o remember_v all_o his_o benefit_n and_o therefore_o he_o present_o fall_v to_o reckon_v they_o all_o up_o himself_o not_o singula_fw-la generum_fw-la but_o genera_fw-la singulorum_fw-la not_o the_o near_o unless_o he_o be_v always_o forgive_a to_o help_v this_o therefore_o his_o next_o benefit_n be_v the_o heal_a all_o my_o infirmity_n for_o this_o take_v away_o that_o aptness_n to_o sin_n of_o itself_o without_o the_o soul_n and_o they_o be_v soon_o reckon_v for_o they_o may_v be_v reduce_v to_o these_o two_o sustentation_n and_o renovation_n for_o he_o satisfi_v thy_o mouth_n with_o good_a thing_n and_o thy_o youth_n be_v renew_v like_o the_o eagle_n as_o much_o as_o to_o say_v thou_o shall_v have_v the_o happiness_n of_o the_o epicure_n and_o of_o the_o stoic_a both_o at_o once_o at_o least_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o fear_n of_o hunger_n and_o thirst_n no_o droop_a with_o age_n nor_o ruin_n of_o time_n and_o now_o o_o my_o soul_n let_v not_o my_o be_v in_o trouble_n and_o oppress_v with_o sorrow_n make_v thou_o doubt_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o these_o thing_n for_o beside_o verse_n 6_o these_o benefit_n the_o lord_n execute_v righteousness_n and_o judgement_n for_o all_o that_o be_v oppress_v righteousness_n to_o they_o and_o judgement_n for_o they_o for_o as_o it_o be_v righteous_a with_o god_n that_o his_o servant_n who_o be_v here_o oppress_v shall_v hereafter_o be_v comfort_v and_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o all_o these_o benefit_n so_o it_o be_v his_o judgement_n to_o the_o wicked_a who_o be_v their_o oppressor_n that_o they_o shall_v feel_v word_n or_o the_o length_n of_o prayer_n that_o prevail_v with_o god_n but_o the_o fervency_n of_o spirit_n and_o the_o devotion_n of_o the_o heart_n yet_o lest_o it_o shall_v be_v take_v as_o a_o each_o of_o these_o prayer_n be_v but_o of_o one_o petition_n in_o christ_n prayer_n for_o to_o say_v o_o lord_n deliver_v my_o soul_n be_v no_o more_o nor_o full_o so_o much_o as_o to_o say_v deliver_v we_o from_o evil_a and_o to_o say_v lord_n be_v merciful_a to_o i_o a_o sinner_n be_v no_o more_o nor_o full_o so_o much_o as_o to_o say_v forgive_v we_o our_o trespass_n and_o to_o say_v lord_n remember_v i_o when_o thou_o come_v into_o thy_o kingdom_n be_v no_o more_o nor_o so_o much_o as_o to_o say_v thy_o kingdom_n come_v but_o see_v david_n with_o his_o short_a prayer_n prevail_v with_o god_n to_o deliver_v his_o soul_n why_o shall_v i_o despair_v of_o the_o like_a success_n of_o my_o prayer_n to_o be_v deliver_v from_o my_o trouble_n o_o my_o soul_n i_o shall_v not_o despair_v of_o the_o like_a success_n as_o david_n have_v if_o i_o can_v but_o pray_v with_o the_o like_a spirit_n as_o david_n do_v o_o therefore_o thou_o great_a god_n that_o do_v inspire_v david_n his_o justice_n yea_o he_o be_v merciful_a and_o this_o show_v his_o love_n and_o how_o then_o can_v i_o doubt_v of_o his_o will_n to_o help_v i_o if_o he_o be_v not_o gracious_a i_o can_v not_o hope_v he_o will_v hear_v i_o if_o he_o be_v not_o righteous_a i_o can_v not_o depend_v upon_o his_o promise_n if_o he_o be_v not_o merciful_a i_o can_v not_o expect_v his_o pardon_n but_o now_o that_o he_o be_v gracious_a and_o righteous_a yea_o and_o merciful_a too_o how_o can_v i_o doubt_v of_o his_o will_n to_o help_v i_o but_o be_v there_o no_o other_o that_o be_v gracious_a and_o righteous_a and_o merciful_a as_o well_o as_o he_o be_v not_o the_o saint_n and_o angel_n in_o heaven_n they_o be_v so_o no_o doubt_n but_o not_o as_o well_o as_o he_o god_n forbid_v we_o shall_v but_o to_o be_v gracious_a as_o the_o fountain_n of_o grace_n to_o be_v righteous_a as_o the_o sun_n of_o righteousness_n to_o be_v merciful_a as_o the_o author_n of_o mercy_n there_o be_v none_o there_o be_v none_o at_o all_o neither_o saint_n nor_o angel_n that_o be_v so_o but_o only_o god_n and_o therefore_o of_o god_n power_n and_o will_n to_o help_v i_o of_o his_o and_o of_o his_o only_a i_o can_v only_o be_v assure_v and_o if_o i_o err_v in_o simplicity_n yet_o the_o lord_n preserve_v the_o simple_a he_o take_v verse_n 6_o not_o advantage_n of_o error_n where_o there_o be_v a_o christ_n say_v without_o i_o you_o can_v do_v nothing_o and_o so_o christ_n seem_v to_o come_v in_o as_o it_o be_v to_o be_v david_n second_o and_o to_o make_v his_o word_n good_a that_o all_o man_n be_v liar_n and_o now_o let_v the_o world_n do_v its_o worst_a and_o take_v the_o lie_n how_o it_o will_v for_o david_n have_v christ_n of_o his_o side_n will_v always_o be_v able_a to_o make_v his_o part_n good_a against_o all_o the_o world_n for_o christ_n have_v overcome_v the_o world_n but_o though_o all_o man_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v liar_n yet_o not_o all_o man_n in_o all_o thing_n for_o then_o david_n himself_o shall_v be_v a_o liar_n in_o this_o but_o all_o man_n perhaps_o in_o something_o or_o other_o at_o sometime_o or_o other_o in_o some_o kind_n or_o other_o absolute_a truth_n not_o find_v in_o any_o man_n but_o in_o that_o man_n only_o who_o be_v not_o man_n only_o for_o if_o he_o have_v be_v but_o so_o it_o have_v not_o perhaps_o be_v find_v in_o he_o neither_o see_v absolute_a truth_n and_o deity_n be_v as_o relative_n never_o find_v to_o be_v asunder_o but_o in_o what_o thing_n be_v it_o that_o all_o man_n shall_v be_v liar_n indeed_o in_o this_o for_o one_o to_o think_v that_o god_n regard_v not_o nor_o love_v not_o they_o who_o he_o suffer_v to_o be_v afflict_v for_o we_o may_v rather_o think_v he_o love_v they_o most_o who_o he_o suffer_v to_o be_v most_o afflict_a and_o we_o may_v true_o say_v he_o will_v never_o have_v suffer_v his_o servant_n job_n to_o be_v afflict_v so_o exceed_v cruel_o if_o he_o have_v not_o love_v he_o exceed_v tender_o for_o there_o be_v nothing_o lose_v by_o suffer_a affliction_n no_o my_o soul_n they_o do_v but_o serve_v to_o make_v up_o the_o great_a weight_n of_o glory_n when_o it_o shall_v be_v reveal_v but_o shall_v i_o render_v nothing_o to_o he_o by_o way_n of_o gratefulness_n but_o alas_o what_o have_v i_o to_o render_v all_o my_o render_n to_o he_o will_v be_v but_o take_v more_o from_o he_o for_o all_o i_o can_v do_v be_v but_o to_o take_v the_o cup_n of_o salvation_n and_o call_v upon_o his_o name_n verse_n 13_o and_o what_o render_n be_v there_o in_o this_o take_n if_o i_o can_v take_v the_o cup_n of_o tribulation_n and_o drink_v it_o off_o for_o his_o sake_n this_o perhaps_o may_v be_v a_o render_n of_o some_o value_n but_o this_o god_n know_v be_v no_o work_n for_o i_o to_o do_v it_o be_v his_o work_n who_o say_v can_v you_o drink_v of_o the_o cup_n of_o which_o i_o shall_v drink_v indeed_o he_o drink_v of_o the_o cup_n of_o tribulation_n to_o the_o end_n that_o we_o may_v take_v the_o cup_n of_o salvation_n but_o then_o in_o take_v it_o we_o must_v call_v upon_o his_o name_n upon_o his_o name_n and_o upon_o no_o other_o for_o else_o we_o shall_v make_v it_o a_o cup_n of_o david_n be_v a_o king_n and_o the_o king_n example_n prevail_v much_o with_o the_o people_n to_o make_v they_o pay_v their_o vow_n to_o god_n but_o most_o of_o all_o that_o by_o this_o mean_n david_n piety_n may_v not_o be_v barren_a but_o may_v make_v a_o breed_n of_o piety_n in_o the_o people_n also_o which_o may_v be_v one_o mystical_a reason_n why_o it_o be_v count_v a_o curse_n in_o israel_n to_o be_v barren_a for_o he_o that_o pay_v not_o his_o vow_n to_o god_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o his_o people_n may_v well_o be_v say_v to_o be_v barren_a in_o israel_n see_v he_o beget_v no_o child_n to_o god_n by_o his_o example_n and_o perhaps_o also_o the_o vow_n which_o david_n mean_v here_o be_v the_o do_v of_o some_o mean_a thing_n unfit_a in_o show_n for_o the_o dignity_n of_o a_o king_n as_o when_o it_o be_v think_v a_o base_a thing_n in_o he_o to_o dance_v before_o the_o ark_n he_o than_o vow_v he_o will_v be_v base_a yet_o and_o in_o this_o case_n to_o pay_v his_o vow_n before_o the_o people_n become_v a_o matter_n of_o necessity_n for_o as_o there_o be_v no_o honour_n to_o a_o man_n whilst_o he_o be_v by_o himself_o alone_o so_o there_o be_v no_o shame_n to_o a_o man_n but_o before_o people_n and_o therefore_o to_o show_v that_o he_o be_v not_o ashamed_a to_o do_v any_o thing_n how_o mean_a soever_o so_o it_o may_v tend_v to_o the_o glorify_v of_o god_n he_o will_v pay_v his_o vow_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o all_o his_o people_n and_o he_o will_v do_v it_o though_o it_o cost_v he_o his_o life_n for_o if_o he_o die_v for_o it_o he_o know_v that_o precious_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o lord_n verse_n 15_o be_v the_o death_n of_o his_o saint_n but_o that_o which_o be_v precious_a be_v common_o desire_v and_o do_v god_n then_o desire_v the_o death_n of_o his_o saint_n he_o desire_v no_o doubt_n that_o death_n of_o his_o saint_n which_o be_v to_o die_v to_o sin_n but_o for_o any_o other_o death_n of_o his_o saint_n it_o be_v therefore_o say_v to_o be_v precious_a in_o his_o sight_n because_o he_o lay_v it_o up_o with_o the_o great_a carefulness_n and_o for_o this_o it_o be_v there_o be_v such_o several_a mansion_n in_o god_n house_n that_o to_o they_o who_o death_n be_v precious_a in_o his_o sight_n he_o may_v assign_v the_o most_o glorious_a mansion_n this_o indeed_o be_v the_o reward_n of_o martyrdom_n and_o the_o encouragement_n of_o martyr_n though_o their_o suffering_n be_v most_o insufferable_a their_o torture_n most_o intolerable_a yet_o this_o make_v amends_o for_o all_o that_o precious_a in_o the_o
