act_n shall_v be_v present_v before_o the_o judge_n of_o assize_n justice_n of_o peace_n and_o before_o the_o major_n and_o head_n officer_n of_o every_o city_n or_o town_n corporate_a mention_v shall_v be_v from_o time_n to_o time_n diligent_o inquire_v of_o and_o present_v before_o the_o justice_n of_o assize_n in_o their_o circuit_n justice_n of_o peace_n in_o their_o quarter_n or_o conviction_n in_o that_o behalf_n as_o in_o such_o like_a case_n upon_o any_o indictment_n or_o presentment_n be_v use_v by_o the_o law_n of_o the_o realm_n or_o custom_n of_o the_o city_n town_n or_o place_n where_o such_o presentment_n or_o indictment_n shall_v be_v inquire_v of_o and_o find_v and_o it_o be_v further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n be_v once_o lawful_o convict_v of_o the_o say_a offence_n of_o drunkenness_n shall_v after_o that_o be_v again_o lawful_o convict_v of_o the_o like_a offence_n of_o drunkenness_n that_o then_o every_o person_n or_o person_n so_o second_o convict_v of_o the_o say_a offence_n of_o drunkenness_n shall_v be_v bind_v with_o two_o surety_n to_o our_o sovereign_a behaviour_n the_o offender_n upon_o second_o conviction_n shall_v be_v bind_v with_o two_o surety_n to_o be_v of_o good_a behaviour_n lord_n the_o king_n majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n in_o one_o game_n that_o the_o major_n and_o head_n officer_n shall_v search_v weekly_a or_o once_o a_o month_n where_o any_o such_o house_n or_o play_n shall_v be_v susspect_v to_o be_v keep_v and_o if_o they_o do_v not_o so_o search_v to_o forfeit_v for_o every_o month_n neglect_v forty_o shilling_n that_o no_o artificer_n craft_n man_n husbandman_n apprentice_n labourer_n journeyman_n mariner_n fisherman_n waterman_n or_o any_o servingman_n shall_v play_v at_o table_n tennis_n dice_n card_n bowl_n clash_n coyt_v etc._n etc._n out_o of_o christmas_n under_o pain_n of_o 40._o s._n for_o every_o time_n and_o in_o christmas_n to_o play_v in_o their_o master_n house_n or_o in_o their_o master_n presence_n none_o to_o play_v at_o any_o time_n at_o bowl_n out_o of_o his_o garden_n or_o orchard_n upon_o pain_n of_o xx_o s._n to_o be_v forfeit_a for_o every_o time_n and_o in_o christmas_n to_o play_v at_o any_o of_o the_o say_a game_n in_o their_o master_n house_n or_o in_o their_o master_n presence_n and_o also_o that_o no_o manner_n of_o person_n shall_v at_o any_o time_n play_v at_o any_o bowl_n or_o bowl_n in_o open_a place_n out_o of_o his_o garden_n or_o orchard_n under_o the_o pain_n for_o every_o time_n so_o offend_v to_o forfeit_v vi_fw-mi s._n viij_o d._n and_o that_o all_o justice_n of_o peace_n mayor_n bailiff_n sheriff_n and_o all_o other_o head_n officer_n and_o every_o of_o they_o find_v or_o know_v any_o manner_n person_n or_o person_n use_v or_o exercise_v any_o unlawful_a game_n contrary_a to_o this_o present_a statute_n shall_v have_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n of_o such_o lease_n make_v be_v use_v that_o then_o every_o such_o lessee_n shall_v at_o the_o liberty_n of_o he_o or_o they_o to_o who_o such_o lease_n be_v make_v their_o executor_n administrator_n or_o assign_n from_o the_o say_a feast_n of_o the_o nativity_n of_o s._n john_n baptist_n be_v utter_o void_a except_o it_o be_v for_o breach_n of_o covenant_n or_o agreement_n or_o payment_n of_o rent_n due_a or_o to_o be_v due_a at_o the_o say_a feast_n or_o any_o time_n before_o so_o that_o then_o at_o the_o same_o feast_n or_o within_o one_o month_n next_o after_o the_o same_o the_o say_a lessee_n give_v knowledge_n to_o such_o lessor_n or_o lessor_n their_o heir_n and_o assign_n that_o he_o will_v no_o long_o occupy_v the_o same_o and_o that_o then_o it_o shall_v be_v lawful_a for_o the_o inheritor_n lessor_n or_o owner_n thereof_o or_o to_o his_o heir_n or_o assign_n in_o the_o same_o house_n alley_n or_o place_n to_o re-enter_v provide_v also_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a presence_n every_o master_n may_v licence_v his_o servant_n to_o play_v at_o card_n die_n or_o table_n with_o their_o master_n or_o other_o gentleman_n in_o his_o house_n or_o presence_n that_o it_o shall_v be_v lawful_a for_o every_o master_n to_o licence_v his_o or_o their_o servant_n to_o play_v at_o card_n die_n or_o table_n with_o their_o say_a master_n or_o with_o any_o other_o gentleman_n repair_v to_o their_o say_a master_n open_o in_o his_o or_o their_o house_n or_o in_o his_o or_o their_o presence_n according_a to_o his_o or_o their_o discretion_n and_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v lawful_a to_o every_o such_o servant_n for_o every_o time_n so_o be_v command_v or_o licence_v by_o his_o say_a master_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a to_o play_v at_o card_n the_o yearly_a value_n of_o a_o hundred_o pound_n or_o above_o to_o command_v appoint_v or_o licence_n by_o he_o or_o their_o discretion_n his_o or_o their_o servant_n or_o family_n of_o he_o or_o their_o house_n or_o house_n for_o to_o play_v within_o the_o precinct_n of_o he_o or_o tennis_n in_o what_o case_n servant_n may_v play_v at_o dice_n card_n table_n bowl_n or_o tennis_n their_o house_n garden_n or_o orchard_n at_o card_n die_n table_n bowl_n or_o tennis_n as_o well_o among_o themselves_o as_o other_o repair_n to_o the_o same_o house_n or_o house_n and_o that_o they_o so_o
