deed_n see_v 2_o john_n 10.11_o 1_o conseq_n then_o it_o necessary_o follow_v that_o such_o compulsion_n to_o the_o pay_v of_o tithe_n in_o such_o case_n be_v a_o absolute_a compulsion_n to_o the_o of_o god_n into_o wantonness_n etc._n etc._n see_v judas_n 4._o to_o 20._o conclu_n who_o we_o ought_v not_o to_o maintain_v either_o by_o tithe_n or_o any_o other_o portion_n or_o part_n of_o maintenance_n in_o any_o kind_n no_o nor_o to_o bid_v they_o so_o much_o as_o speed_v or_o the_o least_o countenance_n in_o there_o evil_a deed_n so_o that_o all_o forecd_a maintenance_n either_o by_o tithe_n or_o otherways_o produce_v this_o great_a inconveniency_n to_o the_o people_n of_o god_n and_o be_v therefore_o unlawful_a to_o be_v thus_o appoint_v by_o the_o civil_a state_n 2_o conseq_n and_o again_o of_o how_o dangerous_a a_o consequence_n be_v it_o in_o case_n the_o civil_a state_n or_o patron_n or_o landlord_n or_o impropriator_n prove_v so_o bad_a and_o oppressive_a as_o many_o have_v do_v to_o wit_n to_o take_v all_o to_o themselves_o and_o never_o care_v at_o all_o to_o provide_v minister_n either_o good_a or_o bad_a yet_o exact_a the_o tithe_n to_o a_o penny_n as_o due_a to_o they_o so_o that_o the_o poor_a husbandman_n have_v nothing_o leave_v he_o to_o give_v to_o these_o that_o be_v minister_n indeed_o as_o it_o be_v say_v concern_v widow_n see_v 1_o tim._n 5.3_o 16_o 17.18_o 3_o conseq_n and_o again_o another_o very_a great_a and_o evil_a consequence_n will_v certain_o follow_v by_o such_o compulsion_n the_o which_o i_o believe_v have_v never_o yet_o be_v take_v notice_n of_o by_o any_o opposer_n of_o tithe_n or_o force_a maintenance_n and_o that_o be_v this_o to_o wit_n it_o be_v a_o great_a scandal_n yea_o shame_n and_o reproach_n to_o any_o christian_a nation_n or_o to_o any_o christian_a church_n or_o particular_a person_n that_o profess_v christianity_n to_o be_v so_o unrighteous_a or_o show_v themselves_o so_o manifest_o covetous_a and_o so_o cold_a in_o love_n and_o so_o absolute_o disobedient_a to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n which_o be_v the_o law_n of_o love_n and_o so_o unsubmissive_a to_o the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n yea_o so_o unfaithful_a in_o believe_v his_o promise_n in_o case_n they_o be_v obedient_a that_o they_o shall_v receive_v a_o reward_n suitable_a to_o their_o sow_v to_o the_o spirit_n see_v gal._n 6.6_o etc._n etc._n 2_o cor._n 10.11_o 12_o 13._o that_o there_o can_v hardly_o be_v a_o great_a reproach_n and_o scandal_n cast_v upon_o they_o then_o that_o it_o shall_v appear_v that_o they_o need_v compulsion_n in_o such_o a_o case_n for_o of_o all_o other_o sin_n covetousness_n be_v the_o most_o odious_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n and_o man_n in_o so_o much_o that_o it_o be_v speak_v of_o by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n as_o a_o note_n of_o absolute_a wickedness_n to_o bless_v the_o covetous_a who_o say_v the_o scripture_n the_o lord_n abhor_v see_v psalm_n 10.3_o so_o that_o it_o be_v a_o just_a ground_n for_o all_o other_o church_n and_o christian_a nation_n to_o abhor_v we_o for_o it_o if_o we_o appear_v to_o be_v so_o covetous_a and_o they_o do_v but_o follow_v the_o lord_n own_o example_n in_o so_o do_v and_o they_o ought_v not_o to_o be_v account_v of_o nor_o receive_v as_o christian_n but_o as_o heathen_n and_o publican_n nor_o to_o be_v communicate_v with_o as_o christian_n that_o appear_v to_o be_v such_o see_v 1_o cor._n 5.11_o but_o to_o be_v account_v of_o as_o yet_o without_o see_v verse_n 12._o arg._n but_o if_o a_o general_a compulsion_n or_o constraint_n be_v use_v so_o as_o none_o dare_v deny_v how_o can_v it_o appear_v that_o any_o do_v it_o free_o but_o be_v together_o with_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o wicked_o covetous_a constrain_v also_o for_o while_o the_o rod_n of_o power_n and_o humane_a authority_n be_v hold_v over_o all_o in_o general_n and_o all_o alike_o so_o as_o none_o dare_v deny_v but_o do_v it_o ready_o how_o can_v it_o appear_v that_o any_o do_v it_o free_o and_o as_o a_o fruit_n of_o love_n and_o obedience_n unto_o god_n and_o dutiful_a respect_n to_o the_o minister_n of_o christ_n in_o truth_n and_o verity_n and_o solomon_n have_v a_o wise_a say_n to_o wit_n righteousness_n excel_v a_o nation_n but_o sin_n be_v a_o shame_n unto_o any_o people_n prov._n 14.24_o conseq_fw-la
