everlasting_a life_n which_o the_o son_n of_o man_n shall_v give_v unto_o you_o for_o he_o have_v god_n the_o father_n seal_v the_o division_n of_o the_o word_n in_o these_o word_n i_o perceive_v three_o chief_a thing_n to_o be_v consider_v 1._o for_o what_o we_o shall_v chief_o labour_v viz._n for_o the_o meat_n which_o endure_v to_o everlasting_a life_n 2._o who_o be_v the_o giver_n of_o this_o meat_n it_o be_v the_o son_n of_o man_n in_o these_o word_n which_o the_o son_n of_o man_n shall_v give_v unto_o you_o 3._o we_o have_v to_o consider_v who_o do_v appoint_v he_o for_o that_o office_n it_o be_v set_v down_o in_o these_o word_n for_o he_o have_v god_n the_o father_n seal_v the_o first_o part_n for_o what_o we_o shall_v chief_o labour_v first_o of_o all_o let_v we_o consider_v for_o what_o we_o be_v command_v here_o to_o labour_n labour_v say_v christ_n for_o the_o meat_n which_o endure_v etc._n etc._n first_o observe_v here_o the_o wisdom_n of_o christ_n second_o the_o corruption_n of_o our_o nature_n in_o this_o appear_v here_o the_o wisdom_n of_o christ_n doctrine_n in_o that_o after_o he_o have_v discharge_v man_n to_o labour_n for_o that_o which_o be_v not_o worthy_a their_o labour_n he_o clear_o let_v they_o see_v for_o what_o above_o all_o thing_n they_o shall_v labour_v this_o be_v wisdom_n first_o to_o take_v ill_o away_o and_o then_o to_o put_v good_a into_o the_o place_n thereof_o christ_n first_o here_o take_v ill_a out_o of_o the_o way_n before_o he_o bring_v in_o that_o which_o be_v good_a he_o discharge_v toil_v for_o worldly_a thing_n before_o he_o speak_v of_o spiritual_a labour_n a_o wise_a man_n will_v not_o sow_v among_o thorn_n worldly_a care_n be_v but_o thorn_n note_n *_o christ_n here_o with_o labour_n not_o as_o with_o a_o prune_a knife_n sn_v away_o such_o prick_a brier_n that_o do_v he_o come_v to_o the_o main_a point_n declare_v for_o what_o all_o man_n shall_v labour_v this_o be_v wisdom_n the_o use_n let_v we_o learn_v wisdom_n use_n whether_o we_o be_v teacher_n or_o scholar_n let_v this_o ever_o be_v our_o first_o motion_n to_o take_v first_o evil_a out_o of_o the_o way_n the_o weed_n must_v be_v first_o root_v before_o we_o sow_v good_a seed_n *_o before_o the_o goodness_n of_o christ_n can_v dwell_v into_o we_o note_n there_o must_v first_o be_v a_o preparation_n of_o the_o way_n in_o the_o wilderness_n of_o our_o heart_n this_o be_v the_o use_n of_o john_n the_o baptist_n his_o axe_n second_o we_o have_v here_o to_o consider_v the_o corruption_n of_o our_o own_o nature_n doctrine_n see_v how_o slow_a we_o be_v for_o the_o obtain_n of_o that_o which_o be_v good_a we_o will_v not_o labour_v for_o thing_n of_o worth_n except_o that_o we_o be_v exhort_v thereunto_o we_o know_v not_o our_o want_n we_o be_v sick_a of_o a_o laodicean_n sickness_n 17._o we_o think_v that_o we_o have_v need_n of_o nothing_o if_o we_o know_v what_o be_v the_o worth_n of_o this_o meat_n which_o endure_v unto_o life_n we_o will_v unbidden_a labour_n for_o it_o where_o be_v the_o weary_a man_n that_o have_v need_n to_o be_v request_v to_o rest_v himself_o on_o a_o bed_n what_o need_v a_o man_n that_o be_v hungry_a to_o be_v desire_v to_o eat_v his_o meat_n while_o it_o be_v before_o he_o while_o christ_n himself_o be_v weary_v at_o sichar_n he_o seek_v a_o drink_n of_o water_n 7._o *_o shall_v a_o rich_a man_n request_v a_o beggar_n to_o beg_v silver_n from_o he_o note_n and_o yet_o behold_v here_o and_o in_o diverse_a other_o place_n of_o scripture_n how_o we_o must_v be_v exhort_v with_o commandment_n after_o commandment_n for_o to_o seek_v that_o which_o be_v best_a for_o our_o soul_n be_v we_o not_o here_o command_v to_o seek_v that_o meat_n which_o will_v make_v our_o soul_n to_o live_v for_o ever_o we_o be_v command_v and_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o we_o be_v slow_a to_o it_o christ_n must_v make_v a_o oyas_n for_o to_o stir_v up_o man_n to_o come_v and_o buy_v without_o money_n that_o which_o be_v so_o precious_a that_o it_o can_v not_o be_v buy_v for_o money_n 1._o ho_o every_o one_o that_o thirst_v come_v you_o to_o the_o water_n and_o he_o that_o have_v no_o money_n come_v you_o buy_v and_o eat_v yea_o come_v buy_v wine_n and_o milk_n without_o money_n and_o without_o price_n *_o if_o any_o burgh_n of_o this_o land_n will_v cry_v such_o a_o fair_a note_n that_o all_o may_v come_v and_o buy_v without_o money_n who_o will_v tarry_v away_o and_o yet_o though_o by_o we_o christ_n have_v command_v a_o free_a fair_a to_o be_v cry_v for_o all_o man_n to_o come_v and_o buy_v without_o money_n 1._o may_v we_o not_o say_v with_o the_o prophet_n but_o who_o have_v believe_v our_o report_n note_n *_o a_o little_a invitation_n will_v make_v we_o come_v willing_o to_o feast_v with_o our_o friend_n but_o to_o come_v and_o feast_v with_o our_o god_n and_o feed_v upon_o this_o meat_n which_o will_v make_v our_o soul_n to_o live_v we_o need_v much_o request_n and_o entreaty_n what_o be_v these_o preface_n which_o be_v now_o use_v before_o sermon_n but_o request_n that_o we_o will_v be_v so_o good_a as_o to_o apply_v our_o heart_n to_o eat_v of_o this_o meat_n shall_v we_o need_v request_n for_o to_o eat_v of_o such_o dainty_n note_n *_o this_o new_a form_n of_o spend_v the_o time_n in_o preface_n declare_v plain_o that_o wâ—_n have_v begin_v to_o loath_a that_o which_o we_o shall_v love_v *_o this_o shall_v make_v we_o to_o fear_v that_o within_o a_o little_a space_n both_o preface_n and_o preach_n shalâ—_n be_v take_v from_o we_o and_o we_o bring_v to_o a_o fearful_a conclusion_n of_o misery_n use_n the_o use_n of_o this_o doctrine_n be_v that_o we_o strive_v to_o be_v willing_a and_o glad_a to_o seek_v spiritual_a thing_n and_o to_o labour_v for_o they_o see_v we_o be_v so_o careful_a for_o this_o body_n that_o it_o want_v nothing_o how_o much_o more_o shall_v we_o be_v careful_a for_o the_o soul_n which_o be_v of_o great_a price_n note_n *_o bodily_a thing_n be_v like_o belly_n thing_n they_o all_o perish_v with_o the_o body_n and_o the_o belly_n let_v we_o therefore_o rouse_v up_o our_o spirit_n and_o gird_v up_o the_o the_o loin_n of_o our_o mind_n 13._o that_o according_a to_o our_o lord_n his_o command_n here_o we_o may_v labour_v for_o the_o meat_n which_o endure_v to_o everlasting_a life_n in_o this_o first_o part_n of_o this_o day_n exercise_n we_o have_v to_o consider_v two_o thing_n first_o what_o it_o be_v to_o labour_v second_o for_o what_o we_o shall_v labour_v as_o for_o the_o first_o if_o we_o will_v know_v what_o labour_n be_v enjoin_v here_o let_v we_o remember_v what_o in_o the_o former_a sermon_n be_v forbid_v in_o labour_v for_o perish_a meat_n the_o pain_n forbid_v in_o that_o point_n be_v enjoin_v here_o while_o christ_n command_v we_o to_o labour_v for_o this_o meat_n of_o life_n he_o will_v we_o both_o to_o labour_v with_o body_n &_o soul_n both_o with_o heart_n and_o with_o hand_n nothing_o without_o or_o within_o we_o must_v be_v away_o from_o god_n his_o service_n bless_v the_o lord_n 1_o o_o my_o soul_n say_v david_n and_o all_o that_o be_v silly_a soul_n shall_v a_o man_n high_o esteem_v thing_n which_o perish_v and_o shall_v that_o which_o be_v eternal_a be_v light_o set_v by_o but_o let_v we_o more_o particular_o consider_v the_o property_n of_o a_o good_a labourer_n first_o a_o good_a labourer_n must_v be_v vigilant_a and_o watchful_a doctrine_n
