fruit_n in_o every_o point_n of_o your_o meditation_n first_o the_o memory_n be_v to_o present_v the_o matter_n unto_o the_o understanding_n as_o be_v above_o say_v and_o that_o be_v to_o consider_v the_o person_n action_n and_o circumstance_n as_o be_v set_v down_o and_o when_o by_o discourse_n and_o particular_a view_n of_o the_o matter_n you_o shall_v sufficient_o understand_v any_o special_a point_n to_o move_v affection_n as_o to_o discover_v god_n goodness_n love_n or_o any_o benefit_n do_v towards_o we_o by_o he_o example_n of_o virtue_n or_o difformity_n of_o vice_n then_o stay_v that_o discourse_n and_o seek_v to_o stir_v up_o such_o good_a affection_n as_o the_o matter_n will_v most_o apt_o afford_v as_o for_o example_n when_o by_o discourse_n you_o have_v find_v the_o goodness_n of_o god_n or_o some_o great_a benefit_n of_o he_o to_o we_o then_o stay_v love_n view_n and_o admire_v he_o for_o the_o greatness_n thereof_o incite_v yourself_o to_o have_v a_o perpetual_a memory_n and_o acknowledgement_n of_o they_o draw_v something_o for_o your_o instruction_n and_o encouragement_n to_o his_o most_o perfect_a service_n and_o your_o own_o progress_n in_o virtue_n this_o be_v a_o great_a part_n of_o the_o fruit_n which_o you_o be_v to_o reap_v of_o meditation_n the_o which_o you_o must_v perfect_v by_o colloquy_n and_o prayer_n help_n if_o the_o will_n do_v not_o yield_v unto_o those_o affection_n which_o you_o desire_v reflect_v with_o yourself_o what_o affection_n such_o consideration_n ought_v to_o move_v in_o you_o towards_o god_n who_o love_n goodness_n and_o benefit_n you_o see_v to_o be_v so_o great_a and_o you_o have_v deserve_v so_o little_a the_o which_o consideration_n ought_v to_o produce_v in_o you_o exceed_o great_a love_n praise_n gratitude_n obedience_n confidence_n etc._n etc._n then_o come_v to_o your_o will_n again_o and_o see_v whether_o it_o will_v yield_v to_o those_o affection_n if_o it_o do_v not_o then_o labour_v to_o move_v it_o either_o by_o such_o persuasion_n as_o you_o will_v give_v to_o another_o who_o you_o desire_v to_o incite_v to_o the_o same_o affection_n or_o else_o reprove_v your_o dulness_n or_o ask_v yourself_o the_o question_n why_o you_o shall_v not_o yield_v thereunto_o see_v that_o you_o can_v remember_v yourself_o and_o other_o to_o be_v exceed_o move_v unto_o such_o affection_n towards_o creature_n for_o less_o motive_n and_o again_o say_v why_o shall_v not_o i_o feel_v the_o like_a to_o my_o creator_n or_o at_o least_o yield_v with_o my_o will_n to_o desire_v it_o and_o purpose_v the_o same_o then_o have_v recourse_n to_o prayer_n and_o say_v o_o my_o god_n i_o will_v purpose_v etc._n etc._n i_o desire_v you_o to_o assist_v i_o with_o your_o grace_n you_o have_v by_o discourse_n discover_v any_o virtue_n or_o vice_n in_o some_o word_n deed_n or_o thought_n of_o some_o person_n who_o be_v present_v in_o the_o meditation_n first_o by_o stay_v or_o ponder_v or_o sometime_o admire_v how_o worthy_a a_o thing_n that_o virtue_n be_v in_o that_o person_n and_o how_o foul_a the_o vice_n the_o fruit_n and_o profit_n which_o arise_v of_o the_o one_o and_o the_o loss_n and_o shame_n of_o the_o other_o then_o proceed_v as_o you_o will_v to_o move_v and_o stir_v up_o the_o affection_n you_o seek_v never_o content_v yourself_o with_o general_a affection_n be_v they_o never_o so_o fervent_a nor_o spend_v to_o much_o time_n in_o they_o but_o make_v some_o particular_a resolution_n of_o which_o you_o stand_v in_o most_o need_n for_o the_o advancement_n and_o correction_n of_o
