his_o service_n and_o leave_v we_o six_o for_o our_o civil_a calling_n whether_o it_o be_v not_o lawful_a to_o spend_v more_o time_n in_o follow_v the_o world_n then_o seek_v after_o heaven_n and_o so_o whether_o though_o our_o thought_n run_v more_o upon_o present_a occasion_n of_o this_o life_n then_o upon_o those_o of_o a_o better_a we_o may_v not_o yet_o have_v comfort_n that_o our_o estate_n be_v secure_a our_o interest_n good_a in_o eternal_a happiness_n the_o resolution_n hereof_o consist_v first_o in_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o right_a use_n and_o intent_n of_o the_o sabboath_n which_o be_v principal_o to_o confine_v and_o employ_v our_o thought_n whole_o upon_o heavenly_a thing_n and_o such_o occasion_n as_o that_o day_n be_v public_o offer_v to_o further_a the_o same_o and_o that_o for_o two_o end_n one_o that_o this_o heavenly_a employment_n of_o our_o thought_n on_o this_o day_n and_o so_o of_o our_o word_n and_o action_n suitable_a thereto_o may_v be_v both_o a_o resemblance_n of_o our_o pure_a and_o perfect_a estate_n in_o heaven_n when_o all_o our_o thought_n word_n and_o action_n shall_v be_v thus_o whole_o exercise_v and_o also_o on_o evidence_n of_o our_o right_n in_o that_o happiness_n and_o withal_o may_v provoke_v we_o to_o sigh_v and_o hasten_v to_o that_o perfect_a estate_n by_o how_o much_o our_o experience_n of_o fail_v in_o these_o thing_n on_o this_o day_n argue_v our_o shortness_n and_o abertation_n from_o that_o perfection_n and_o hereupon_o follow_v another_o use_n and_o intent_n of_o the_o sabboath_n namely_o that_o by_o restrain_v and_o set_v our_o thought_n now_o only_o upon_o heaven_n he_o object_n we_o may_v at_o all_o other_o time_n keep_v they_o better_o in_o order_n that_o though_o they_o may_v have_v liberty_n on_o the_o other_o day_n to_o worldly_a occasion_n yet_o by_o the_o former_a employment_n of_o they_o on_o the_o sabboath_n they_o may_v now_o be_v so_o bridle_v and_o season_v with_o holy_a ground_n and_o spiritual_a end_n as_o that_o we_o may_v so_o use_v the_o world_n as_o if_o we_o use_v it_o not_o our_o heart_n may_v not_o be_v set_v upon_o the_o same_o though_o we_o must_v converse_v therewith_o but_o both_o lift_v up_o to_o god_n for_o the_o sanctify_a of_o our_o business_n and_o keep_v still_o ever_o with_o god_n in_o the_o prosecute_n thereof_o and_o so_o return_v unto_o god_n for_o the_o blessing_n of_o the_o same_o and_o rely_v again_o upon_o god_n in_o wait_v on_o his_o providence_n and_o meditate_v of_o the_o heavenly_a riches_n make_v still_o these_o worldly_a occasion_n daily_a matter_n to_o humble_v we_o hereby_o in_o that_o we_o can_v be_v without_o what_o in_o some_o sort_n hinder_v our_o entire_a fellowship_n with_o god_n to_o exercise_v our_o faith_n and_o patience_n in_o that_o our_o labour_n be_v nothing_o without_o the_o blessing_n of_o god_n to_o try_v our_o sincerity_n that_o we_o can_v spare_v time_n for_o heavenly_a occasion_n and_o season_v our_o earthly_a affair_n with_o spiritual_a meditation_n and_o so_o to_o prepare_v we_o by_o a_o daily_o view_v of_o our_o reckon_n and_o make_v even_o with_o god_n to_o our_o great_a account_n and_o so_o hereby_o to_o fit_v we_o the_o better_a to_o the_o next_o sabboath_n and_o so_o to_o provoke_v we_o to_o hunger_n after_o the_o eternal_a sabboath_n thus_o do_v the_o right_a use_n and_o intent_n of_o the_o sabboath_n extend_v to_o the_o holy_a order_n of_o our_o civil_a calling_n and_o sure_o if_o we_o consider_v right_o in_o the_o second_o place_n the_o right_a use_n and_o end_n of_o our_o civil_a calling_n which_o be_v not_o so_o much_o for_o present_a maintenance_n of_o life_n or_o to_o thrive_v thereby_o as_o to_o humble_v we_o under_o the_o mighty_a hand_n of_o god_n in_o that_o we_o have_v need_n of_o such_o mean_n which_o have_v not_o sin_n enter_v into_o the_o world_n we_o shall_v not_o have_v have_v and_o so_o daily_o to_o renew_v repentance_n and_o thereby_o to_o provoke_v to_o love_n and_o compassion_n towards_o other_o that_o so_o we_o may_v lay_v up_o a_o good_a foundation_n against_o the_o life_n to_o come_v the_o wise_a consideration_n and_o compare_v of_o both_o these_o together_o both_o the_o right_a use_n and_o end_n of_o the_o sabboath_n and_o our_o civil_a calling_n will_v happy_o further_o the_o resolution_n of_o these_o doubt_n and_o satisfy_v the_o conscience_n in_o any_o scruple_n that_o may_v arise_v therefrom_o for_o out_o of_o this_o comparison_n will_v arise_v these_o conclusion_n first_o though_o the_o lord_n have_v allow_v we_o six_o day_n for_o our_o civil_a calling_n and_o but_o one_o for_o the_o general_a yet_o from_o this_o proportion_n it_o do_v not_o follow_v that_o though_o more_o time_n be_v allow_v for_o our_o worldly_a occasion_n then_o for_o our_o spiritual_a therefore_o we_o may_v enlarge_v our_o thought_n so_o much_o the_o more_o after_o worldly_a thing_n then_o after_o those_o of_o a_o better_a life_n see_v as_o our_o civil_a calling_n be_v ordain_v not_o so_o much_o for_o the_o maintenance_n of_o this_o present_a as_o that_o life_n which_o be_v to_o come_v so_o our_o manage_n of_o they_o must_v be_v spiritual_a with_o thought_n and_o action_n derive_v from_o that_o fountain_n guide_v by_o the_o same_o rule_n and_o aim_v at_o the_o same_o end_n and_o therefore_o as_o the_o sabboath_n do_v restrain_v we_o altogether_o from_o these_o carnal_a worldly_a thought_n as_o be_v simple_o evil_a on_o that_o day_n so_o neither_o do_v the_o other_o day_n otherwise_o allow_v they_o then_o as_o they_o proceed_v from_o a_o spiritual_a intent_n to_o glorify_v god_n in_o obedience_n to_o he_o in_o
