they_o which_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n be_v forthwith_o happy_a because_o death_n to_o they_o be_v the_o end_n of_o all_o misery_n &_o trouble_n and_o the_o beginning_n of_o everlasting_a happiness_n now_o whereas_o the_o holy_a ghost_n do_v not_o only_o deliver_v this_o assertion_n that_o the_o dead_a which_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n be_v bless_v but_o be_v so_o careful_a to_o countenance_n and_o prove_v the_o same_o unto_o we_o and_o well_o be_v we_o to_o be_v assure_v that_o his_o care_n be_v not_o superfluous_a this_o be_v therefore_o a_o evident_a token_n that_o man_n common_o in_o the_o world_n be_v of_o another_o opinion_n which_o be_v the_o cause_n why_o the_o holy_a ghost_n see_v it_o needful_a not_o only_o to_o deliver_v this_o truth_n but_o also_o to_o ratify_v and_o confirm_v it_o for_o first_o man_n common_o account_v it_o a_o miserable_a thing_n to_o die_v and_o natural_o be_v so_o afraid_a of_o death_n as_o to_o save_v their_o life_n they_o will_v not_o stick_v to_o commit_v any_o sin_n almost_o as_o to_o deny_v christ_n and_o his_o religion_n and_o to_o join_v with_o antichrist_n and_o by_o their_o sin_n to_o cast_v away_o their_o precious_a soul_n which_o they_o will_v not_o do_v if_o they_o can_v be_v persuade_v that_o death_n bring_v happiness_n with_o it_o again_o to_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n as_o it_o be_v here_o understand_v with_o opposition_n and_o not_o in_o the_o subjection_n and_o faith_n of_o antichrist_n not_o in_o the_o communion_n of_o the_o now_o apostatical_a church_n of_o rome_n of_o the_o papist_n who_o false_o term_v themselves_o catholic_n be_v count_v a_o damnable_a thing_n of_o the_o carnal_a and_o backslide_a gospeler_n a_o more_o miserable_a thing_n than_o to_o live_v in_o the_o say_v and_o subjection_n of_o antichrist_n that_o therefore_o we_o may_v die_v willing_o when_o god_n shall_v call_v we_o and_o may_v be_v ready_a to_o lay_v down_o our_o life_n for_o the_o
testimony_n of_o the_o truth_n rather_o than_o to_o yield_v to_o antichrist_n and_o general_o may_v be_v more_o afraid_a to_o commit_v sin_n than_o to_o suffer_v death_n let_v we_o remember_v what_o the_o holy_a ghost_n say_v that_o bless_v be_v those_o which_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n and_o let_v we_o consider_v that_o this_o assertion_n be_v no_o humane_a invention_n or_o earthly_a device_n but_o a_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a oracle_n for_o so_o say_v john_n i_o hear_v a_o voice_n from_o heaven_n many_o will_v say_v if_o i_o may_v hear_v a_o angel_n from_o heaven_n tell_v i_o that_o which_o you_o minister_n do_v teach_v we_o as_o namely_o that_o to_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n be_v a_o happy_a thing_n assure_o i_o will_v believe_v it_o if_o from_o heaven_n it_o be_v testify_v unto_o i_o that_o it_o be_v a_o bless_a thing_n to_o die_v not_o in_o the_o faith_n and_o communion_n of_o the_o romish_a church_n but_o in_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n profess_v in_o the_o church_n reform_v by_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o gospel_n i_o will_v rather_o die_v than_o join_v with_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n and_o yet_o behold_v this_o truth_n be_v not_o only_o avouch_v by_o a_o voice_n from_o heaven_n but_o also_o that_o as_o peter_n speak_v in_o the_o like_a case_n we_o may_v have_v 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d a_o more_o firm_a word_n which_o be_v the_o write_a 19_o word_n it_o be_v by_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n from_o heaven_n commit_v to_o writing_n as_o contain_v word_n faithful_a and_o 5._o true_a and_o be_v speak_v and_o write_v have_v the_o testimony_n of_o the_o spirit_n that_o it_o be_v the_o undoubted_a word_n of_o god_n such_o be_v the_o credit_n of_o the_o write_a word_n that_o if_o a_o angel_n from_o heaven_n shall_v gainsay_v it_o he_o 8._o be_v to_o be_v hold_v accurse_v gal._n 1._o 8._o and_o he_o that_o will_v not_o give_v credit_n to_o the_o write_a word_n which_o be_v the_o most_o sure_a foundation_n of_o our_o faith_n neither_o will_v he_o believe_v 31._o though_o a_o angel_n shall_v come_v from_o heaven_n or_o a_o spirit_n from_o the_o dead_a satan_n 14_o can_v transform_v himself_o into_o a_o angel_n of_o light_n and_o take_v upon_o he_o the_o person_n 12._o of_o the_o dead_a and_o therefore_o if_o we_o shall_v trust_v to_o apparition_n we_o may_v soon_o be_v deceive_v but_o the_o word_n of_o god_n can_v deceive_v us._n see_v therefore_o this_o assertion_n be_v pronounce_v by_o god_n from_o heaven_n and_o at_o his_o appointment_n be_v commit_v by_o the_o holy_a evangelist_n to_o writing_n and_o also_o have_v the_o testimony_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n who_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n let_v we_o therefore_o with_o all_o reverence_n and_o good_a conscience_n hearken_v unto_o it_o as_o to_o the_o oracle_n of_o god_n and_o with_o the_o full_a persuasion_n of_o faith_n give_v unfeigned_a credit_n unto_o it_o as_o unto_o the_o undoubted_a word_n of_o the_o lord_n namely_o that_o the_o dead_a which_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n be_v from_o thenceforth_o bless_v because_o they_o rest_v from_o their_o labour_n and_o their_o work_n follow_v they_o in_o which_o word_n three_o thing_n be_v nothing_o more_o than_o to_o die_v and_o hope_v for_o nothing_o less_o than_o to_o be_v bless_v after_o death_n but_o let_v we_o remember_v that_o it_o be_v a_o oracle_n of_o god_n deliver_v from_o heaven_n and_o testify_v by_o the_o holy_a spirit_n from_o hence_o therefore_o let_v we_o learn_v true_o to_o acknowledge_v the_o immortality_n of_o the_o soul_n and_o effectual_o believe_v that_o there_o be_v a_o life_n immortal_a after_o this_o mortal_a life_n be_v end_v and_o in_o this_o belief_n let_v we_o be_v careful_a so_o to_o live_v as_o that_o we_o may_v hope_v after_o this_o life_n be_v end_v to_o be_v happy_a and_o bless_a neither_o let_v we_o be_v so_o mad_a as_o for_o the_o momentanie_n fruition_n of_o temporal_a vanity_n in_o this_o vale_n of_o misery_n to_o lose_v a_o everlasting_a inheritance_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n but_o he_o add_v which_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n for_o not_o all_o that_o be_v dead_a be_v bless_v for_o many_o die_v out_o of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o out_o of_o god_n favour_n as_o those_o which_o depart_v in_o the_o faith_n of_o antichrist_n or_o otherwise_o die_v in_o their_o sin_n as_o in_o ignorance_n infidelity_n impenitency_n etc._n etc._n and_o they_o be_v so_o far_o from_o be_v bless_v when_o they_o die_v as_o that_o by_o their_o death_n their_o misery_n be_v infinite_o increase_v but_o they_o be_v bless_v which_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n which_o word_n some_o understand_v as_o speak_v of_o martyr_n only_o and_o so_o read_v they_o who_o die_v for_o the_o lord_n cause_n and_o no_o doubt_n if_o all_o they_o be_v bless_v who_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n much_o more_o may_v we_o assure_v ourselves_o that_o they_o which_o do_v not_o only_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n but_o also_o for_o he_o be_v most_o happy_a and_o bless_a and_o this_o must_v encourage_v all_o true_a christian_n as_o we_o be_v persuade_v that_o the_o lord_n have_v lay_v down_o his_o life_n for_o our_o sake_n so_o to_o be_v most_o ready_a and_o willing_a to_o lay_v down_o our_o life_n for_o his_o sake_n if_o it_o shall_v please_v the_o lord_n to_o vouchsafe_v unto_o we_o both_o that_o honour_n as_o to_o be_v the_o martyr_n of_o jesu_n as_o also_o that_o favour_n as_o to_o make_v our_o death_n and_o affliction_n which_o otherwise_o all_o of_o we_o must_v look_v to_o suffer_v as_o chastisement_n for_o our_o sin_n to_o be_v suffering_n for_o righteousness_n but_o yet_o not_o only_o such_o as_o die_v for_o the_o lord_n be_v here_o pronounce_v bless_v nor_o all_o they_o be_v blesle_v who_o will_v seem_v to_o die_v for_o the_o lord_n but_o all_o they_o and_o only_o they_o who_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n be_v bless_v for_o if_o any_o man_n die_v for_o the_o maintenance_n of_o heresy_n shall_v think_v he_o die_v for_o the_o lord_n as_o all_o in_o that_o case_n be_v ready_a to_o pretend_v notwithstanding_o he_o be_v not_o bless_v because_o he_o do_v not_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n for_o none_o be_v in_o he_o but_o such_o as_o true_o believe_v in_o he_o and_o none_o true_o believe_v in_o he_o which_o do_v not_o love_v he_o and_o his_o member_n for_o his_o sake_n but_o they_o which_o die_v for_o heresy_n as_o they_o do_v not_o true_o believe_v in_o christ_n so_o do_v they_o not_o true_o love_v his_o member_n but_o by_o their_o heresy_n cut_v themselves_o from_o the_o body_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v his_o true_a church_n for_o his_o he_o that_o give_v his_o body_n to_o be_v burn_v and_o have_v not_o love_n 3._o say_v the_o apostle_n so_o he_o that_o think_v himself_o to_o be_v martyr_v &_o have_v not_o true_a faith_n it_o profit_v he_o nothing_o and_o such_o be_v the_o state_n as_o of_o all_o other_o heretic_n so_o especial_o of_o the_o popish_a martyr_n of_o these_o time_n as_o they_o be_v esteem_v among_o they_o for_o beside_o that_o they_o do_v not_o die_v for_o their_o religion_n proper_o but_o for_o treason_n and_o rebellion_n and_o it_o be_v not_o the_o punishment_n but_o the_o cause_n that_o make_v a_o martyr_n their_o religion_n also_o be_v antichristian_a be_v the_o caholike_a apostasy_n the_o common_a sewer_n of_o heresy_n and_o the_o very_a mystery_n of_o iniquity_n neither_o do_v they_o die_v in_o the_o cause_n or_o faith_n of_o christ_n but_o in_o the_o cause_n and_o faith_n of_o antichrist_n and_o therefore_o be_v the_o martyr_n not_o of_o christ_n but_o of_o antichrist_n the_o truth_n whereof_o none_o can_v deny_v if_o this_o once_o be_v prove_v unto_o they_o which_o by_o our_o write_n be_v sufficient_o prove_v that_o rome_n be_v babylon_n the_o pope_n antichrist_n and_o the_o papist_n such_o as_o have_v receive_v the_o mark_n of_o the_o beast_n therefore_o not_o only_o they_o which_o die_v for_o the_o lord_n nor_o all_o they_o who_o will_v seem_v
