the_o truth_n of_o this_o collection_n it_o will_v concern_v i_o to_o do_v these_o follow_a thing_n 1._o show_v what_o this_o eat_n and_o drink_v unworthy_o be_v and_o wherein_o this_o sin_n of_o these_o corinthian_n do_v consist_v 2._o consider_v the_o circumstance_n that_o all_o christian_n now_o be_v in_o which_o set_v they_o almost_o above_o the_o possibility_n of_o be_v guilty_a of_o it_o 3._o i_o shall_v inquire_v what_o can_v be_v count_v eat_v and_o drink_v unworthy_o in_o proportion_n to_o this_o 4._o and_o consider_v in_o the_o last_o place_n whether_o these_o also_o be_v not_o case_n stand_v with_o these_o corinthian_n we_o may_v easy_o understand_v both_o by_o their_o not_o discern_v the_o lord_n body_n the_o apostle_n mean_v their_o not_o consider_v that_o this_o be_v a_o immediate_a service_n of_o religion_n and_o that_o the_o morsel_n of_o bread_n which_o they_o do_v eat_v and_o glass_n of_o wine_n that_o they_o do_v drink_v be_v sacramental_o the_o very_a body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n they_o put_v no_o difference_n between_o these_o sacred_a symboll_n of_o our_o lord_n body_n and_o blood_n and_o common_a food_n and_o drink_n nor_o show_v great_a reverence_n in_o eat_v and_o drink_v the_o one_o than_o do_v so_o to_o the_o other_o they_o eat_v in_o god_n house_n just_a as_o they_o do_v in_o their_o own_o and_o make_v no_o distinction_n between_o this_o and_o a_o common_a meal_n yea_o and_o which_o be_v something_o worse_o yet_o they_o do_v this_o not_o only_o thus_o irreverent_o but_o in_o intemperance_n and_o downright_a drunkenness_n for_o so_o he_o tell_v they_o vers_n 21._o one_o be_v hungry_a and_o another_o be_v drink_v how_o this_o monstrous_a disorder_n happen_v among_o they_o have_v be_v hint_v already_o and_o may_v more_o full_o now_o by_o give_v a_o short_a account_n of_o the_o ancient_a practice_n of_o the_o church_n in_o this_o matter_n now_o that_o brief_o stand_v thus_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n be_v usual_o prefaced_a unto_o by_o a_o public_a feast_n of_o charity_n which_o be_v call_v in_o antiquity_n 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d a_o love-feast_n to_o which_o you_o have_v frequent_a reference_n in_o the_o new_a testament_n to_o this_o feast_n every_o one_o contribute_v and_o bring_v some_o portion_n according_a to_o his_o ability_n of_o which_o all_o feast_v love_o together_o reserve_v some_o portion_n for_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n which_o they_o always_o celebrate_v in_o the_o close_a of_o this_o feast_n now_o this_o grand_a profanation_n of_o this_o holy_a service_n happen_v thus_o instead_o of_o feed_v love_o all_o together_o of_o what_o be_v thus_o bring_v by_o all_o each_o one_o feed_v single_o upon_o his_o own_o portion_n by_o which_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v not_o only_o that_o the_o poor_a have_v little_a or_o nothing_o to_o eat_v but_o the_o rich_a have_v too_o much_o which_o bring_v they_o to_o excess_n and_o even_o to_o plain_a drunkenness_n one_o be_v hungry_a and_o another_o drink_v in_o which_o sad_a condition_n approach_v to_o the_o table_n of_o the_o lord_n they_o be_v very_o unfit_a to_o consider_v the_o sacredness_n of_o it_o and_o very_o unlike_a to_o pay_v that_o reverence_n that_o be_v due_a to_o it_o that_o both_o these_o thing_n contribute_v to_o their_o not_o discern_v the_o lord_n body_n and_o in_o consequence_n of_o that_o eat_n and_o drink_v unworthy_o we_o may_v full_o satisfy_v ourselves_o by_o consider_v the_o apostle_n deal_v with_o they_o in_o the_o latter_a part_n of_o this_o chapter_n where_o he_o fall_v upon_o this_o argument_n for_o because_o they_o be_v so_o gross_o ignorant_a in_o the_o reason_n and_o design_n of_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n he_o explain_v that_o full_o to_o they_o from_o verse_n 22d_o unworthy_o consist_v in_o this_o and_o therefore_o if_o man_n make_v any_o thing_n else_o to_o be_v eat_v and_o drink_v unworthy_o like_o they_o they_o must_v prove_v the_o same_o or_o as_o great_a irreverence_n and_o profanation_n to_o be_v in_o it_o if_o they_o can_v find_v any_o other_o thing_n which_o equal_o hinder_v man_n from_o discern_v the_o lord_n body_n or_o yield_v any_o more_o respect_n to_o the_o sacred_a symbol_n of_o it_o than_o the_o corinthian_n do_v than_o i_o will_v yield_v that_o that_o may_v be_v allow_v to_o come_v within_o the_o guilt_n of_o eat_v and_o drink_v unworthy_o that_o the_o apostle_n here_o refer_v to_o this_o be_v that_o key_n that_o let_v we_o into_o the_o apostle_n meaning_n in_o this_o text_n and_o open_v to_o we_o his_o sense_n of_o eat_v body_n as_o they_o do_v this_o be_v the_o rule_n that_o we_o must_v proceed_v by_o in_o this_o case_n if_o we_o will_v conclude_v right_o concern_v any_o other_o thing_n it_o must_v be_v something_o that_o set_v man_n as_o far_o from_o discern_v the_o lord_n body_n and_o render_v they_o as_o unfit_a or_o unable_a to_o show_v any_o become_a respect_n to_o it_o as_o this_o disorder_n of_o the_o corinthian_n do_v they_o otherwise_o it_o be_v not_o eat_v and_o drink_v unworthy_o in_o proportion_n to_o they_o in_o this_o the_o analogy_n must_v true_o hold_v or_o else_o all_o our_o deduction_n lord_n body_n and_o therefore_o in_o both_o case_n be_v as_o far_o from_o any_o due_a respect_n and_o reverence_n to_o it_o as_o the_o corinthian_n be_v i_o shall_v consider_v they_o distinct_o and_o examine_v they_o upon_o this_o reason_n of_o not_o discern_v the_o lord_n body_n 1._o gross_a ignorance_n i_o mean_v it_o in_o the_o great_a principle_n of_o christian_a religion_n especial_o in_o of_o christ_n body_n on_o the_o cross_n and_o the_o pour_v out_o of_o the_o other_o the_o shed_n of_o his_o blood_n for_o our_o redemption_n and_o that_o our_o communicate_v in_o these_o be_v communicate_v in_o the_o bless_a effect_n and_o benefit_n of_o both_o he_o do_v not_o know_v that_o by_o this_o solemn_a rite_n of_o religion_n he_o be_v to_o commemorate_v with_o gratitude_n and_o transport_v the_o amaze_a love_n of_o his_o die_a lord_n and_o that_o in_o this_o he_o may_v expect_v those_o communication_n of_o divine_a grace_n that_o shall_v strengthen_v and_o refresh_v his_o because_o the_o man_n be_v not_o then_o real_o in_o earnest_n but_o because_o afterward_o he_o be_v careless_a and_o trifle_a and_o easy_o lead_v away_o with_o temptation_n that_o interfere_v with_o his_o former_a promise_n and_o purpose_n of_o mind_n and_o so_o i_o doubt_v not_o it_o may_v be_v and_o too_o often_o be_v with_o man_n when_o they_o come_v to_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n their_o religion_n and_o consequent_o perform_v it_o with_o that_o devotion_n and_o seriousness_n that_o reverence_n and_o respect_n that_o man_n use_v to_o show_v in_o other_o service_n of_o religion_n the_o yet_o be_v object_v against_o the_o purpose_n of_o this_o argument_n that_o whatever_o the_o minute_n and_o prime_a signification_n be_v yet_o eat_v and_o drink_v unworthy_o can_v but_o be_v account_v with_o eternal_a damnation_n therefore_o i_o proceed_v to_o the_o second_o thing_n that_o i_o propose_v on_o this_o argument_n that_o whatever_o the_o meaning_n of_o damnation_n be_v in_o this_o the_o signification_n of_o it_o beyond_o the_o proper_a intendment_n and_o meaning_n or_o to_o take_v a_o liberty_n of_o fright_v people_n with_o the_o danger_n of_o eat_v and_o drink_v unworthy_o upon_o every_o failure_n when_o the_o apostle_n use_v that_o phrase_n only_o in_o the_o case_n of_o such_o a_o prodigious_a profanation_n of_o the_o sacrament_n as_o the_o corinthian_n be_v now_o guilty_a of_o i_o have_v already_o say_v their_o miscarriage_n may_v well_o be_v count_v eat_v and_o drink_v unworthy_o indeed_o but_o therefore_o to_o infer_v that_o every_o failure_n to_o eat_v and_o drink_v so_o reverent_o so_o fit_o and_o so_o becoming_o as_o man_n shall_v be_v present_o eat_v and_o drink_v unworthy_o in_o proportion_n to_o they_o be_v put_v our_o own_o sense_n upon_o scripture_n and_o judge_v the_o thing_n of_o religion_n by_o our_o own_o measure_n only_o and_o second_o i_o add_v that_o it_o be_v unreasonable_a as_o well_o as_o uncharitable_a to_o affright_v man_n thing_n that_o be_v do_v amiss_o or_o every_o little_a imperfection_n that_o may_v attend_v they_o this_o be_v the_o great_a comfort_n and_o support_v of_o our_o hope_n and_o to_o rob_v we_o of_o this_o be_v certain_o a_o mighty_a injury_n and_o disservice_n to_o we_o and_o yet_o this_o in_o their_o proportion_n they_o do_v that_o alarm_n and_o frighten_v man_n with_o danger_n of_o damnation_n upon_o every_o little_a failure_n in_o this_o matter_n though_o never_o so_o short_a of_o that_o to_o which_o it_o be_v only_o threaten_v i_o have_v show_v you_o it_o be_v not_o a_o easy_a thing_n order_v and_o prepare_v themselves_o for_o it_o but_o that_o he_o look_v on_o it_o as_o a_o duty_n necessary_o incumbent_a on_o they_o nor_o be_v so_o impertinent_a as_o to_o concern_v and_o busy_v himself_o in_o direct_v the_o circumstance_n of_o a_o action_n which_o be_v not_o necessary_a to_o be_v do_v but_o arbitrary_a and_o at_o their_o pleasure_n whether_o to_o do_v it_o or_o no._n the_o second_o circumstance_n be_v what_o i_o observe_v before_o that_o he_o do_v this_o even_a when_o the_o corinthian_n run_v a_o very_a great_a hazard_n and_o incur_v a_o grand_a guilt_n by_o their_o profanation_n of_o this_o service_n and_o come_v so_o unworthy_o to_o it_o certain_o have_v the_o apostle_n look_v upon_o this_o as_o any_o thing_n less_o than_o a_o necessary_a duty_n he_o will_v have_v go_v another_o way_n to_o work_v with_o they_o he_o will_v have_v discourse_v to_o they_o at_o another_o rate_n and_o have_v tell_v they_o it_o be_v much_o the_o better_o and_o safe_a way_n to_o stay_v away_o from_o the_o sacrament_n than_o incur_v so_o great_a guilt_n and_o punishment_n by_o come_v so_o unworthy_o this_o will_v have_v be_v the_o advice_n that_o a_o great_a many_o man_n now_o according_a to_o their_o principle_n will_v have_v give_v to_o they_o and_o indeed_o do_v give_v themselves_o and_o other_o too_o but_o it_o be_v evident_a the_o apostle_n speak_v not_o one_o word_n to_o this_o purpose_n nor_o know_v of_o any_o warrant_n he_o have_v to_o do_v so_o he_o have_v no_o authority_n to_o grant_v they_o any_o indulgence_n or_o licence_n to_o stay_v away_o though_o they_o be_v apt_a to_o come_v so_o very_o unfit_o he_o be_v to_o recommend_v it_o as_o a_o necessary_a duty_n and_o to_o press_v the_o serious_a and_o become_a observation_n of_o it_o but_o he_o have_v receive_v no_o warrant_n from_o the_o lord_n to_o dispense_v with_o that_o observation_n he_o will_v have_v they_o to_o look_v upon_o the_o sacrament_n as_o a_o necessary_a stand_a service_n of_o their_o religion_n to_o count_v it_o their_o duty_n to_o eat_v and_o drink_v and_o his_o province_n be_v only_o to_o direct_v they_o how_o they_o may_v do_v it_o acceptable_o and_o not_o to_o worthy_o as_o they_o shall_v and_o yet_o it_o be_v too_o notorious_a that_o this_o fear_n of_o damnation_n do_v not_o restrain_v they_o from_o they_o it_o be_v a_o hard_a say_n but_o it_o be_v too_o true_a those_o very_a man_n that_o be_v so_o very_o scrupulous_a and_o so_o very_o fearful_a of_o damnation_n in_o this_o yet_o appear_v open_o regardless_o and_o proof_n against_o all_o fear_n of_o it_o in_o other_o thing_n wherein_o it_o be_v as_o reasonable_a and_o necessary_a to_o be_v fear_v there_o be_v too_o many_o man_n on_o one_o hand_n that_o can_v live_v and_o persist_v obstinate_o in_o plain_a schism_n allow_v themselves_o in_o rebellion_n and_o the_o most_o factious_a course_n oppose_v government_n speak_v evil_a of_o dignity_n pride_n and_o uncharitableness_n judge_v and_o rash_a censure_v of_o their_o brethren_n fraud_n and_o hypocrisy_n injustice_n and_o knavery_n and_o all_o sort_n of_o such_o spiritual_a vice_n as_o these_o without_o the_o least_o remorse_n and_o of_o raillery_n and_o profaneness_n of_o intemperance_n and_o uncleanness_n of_o whoredom_n and_o drunkenness_n and_o that_o curse_a humour_n of_o swear_v which_o have_v obtain_v so_o among_o we_o to_o the_o shame_n of_o the_o nation_n and_o for_o which_o it_o mourn_v there_o be_v too_o many_o i_o say_v of_o both_o sort_n that_o live_v without_o any_o apprehension_n or_o fear_n of_o damnation_n in_o these_o thing_n who_o yet_o when_o invite_v to_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n or_o reprove_v for_o the_o neglect_n of_o it_o seem_v wonderful_a scrupulous_a and_o fearful_a of_o damnation_n if_o they_o shall_v come_v to_o it_o and_o think_v to_o excuse_v the_o neglect_n of_o one_o with_o their_o fear_n of_o the_o other_o which_o they_o always_o plead_v in_o vindication_n of_o it_o now_o i_o and_o damnation_n in_o some_o lesser_a thing_n but_o venturous_a and_o regardless_o of_o it_o in_o other_o that_o be_v perhaps_o far_o great_a it_o be_v this_o which_o our_o saviour_n so_o often_o charge_v upon_o the_o pharisee_n and_o for_o which_o he_o so_o sharp_o condemn_v they_o as_o a_o pack_n of_o fulsome_a errant_a hypocrite_n and_o man_n have_v need_v to_o look_v to_o it_o for_o they_o will_v draw_v upon_o themselves_o the_o same_o imputation_n if_o they_o be_v of_o the_o same_o temper_n and_o practice_n if_o the_o fear_n of_o damnation_n therefore_o influence_n you_o in_o this_o one_o let_v it_o in_o god_n name_n do_v so_o in_o other_o instance_n that_o be_v more_o gross_a and_o obvious_a if_o the_o fear_n of_o damnation_n in_o this_o be_v true_a and_o sincere_a it_o will_v do_v this_o for_o damnation_n be_v still_o the_o same_o thing_n and_o equal_o to_o be_v dread_v but_o if_o it_o do_v not_o it_o be_v plain_a you_o use_v it_o as_o subterfuge_n and_o artifice_v you_o proclaim_v your_o own_o insincerity_n and_o hypocrisy_n in_o it_o and_o the_o excuse_n itself_o not_o only_o aggravate_v but_o become_v part_n of_o the_o crime_n i_o have_v add_v this_o consideration_n only_a ex_fw-la abundanti_fw-la and_o to_o argue_v with_o some_o man_n even_o upon_o their_o own_o pretence_n and_o if_o they_o will_v honest_o reflect_v upon_o it_o it_o will_v hardly_o fail_v of_o some_o effect_n on_o they_o but_o to_o other_o that_o be_v real_o scrupulous_a and_o fearful_a of_o damnation_n upon_o every_o failure_n to_o receive_v the_o holy_a sacrament_n so_o well_o as_o they_o shall_v and_o argue_v their_o fear_n upon_o the_o reason_n of_o this_o text_n to_o these_o i_o say_v the_o former_a consideration_n will_v be_v sufficient_a since_o it_o be_v not_o this_o eternal_a damnation_n that_o the_o apostle_n mean_v in_o this_o place_n and_o let_v i_o add_v that_o if_o eternal_a damnation_n be_v not_o threaten_v to_o the_o corinthian_n here_o who_o so_o shameful_o and_o gross_o profane_v this_o holy_a service_n much_o less_o be_v it_o present_o to_o be_v fear_v by_o those_o who_o receive_v it_o as_o well_o as_o they_o can_v though_o not_o so_o holy_a sacrament_n to_o be_v a_o constant_a stand_a service_n in_o his_o church_n and_o that_o the_o apostle_n and_o primitive_a christian_n do_v according_o observe_v and_o keep_v up_o the_o practice_n of_o it_o and_o this_o too_o as_o careful_o and_o constant_o as_o the_o public_a prayer_n and_o if_o this_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o evince_v it_o to_o be_v every_o christian_n duty_n to_o observe_v it_o yea_o to_o observe_v it_o as_o well_o as_o any_o other_o public_a service_n of_o the_o christian_a church_n nothing_o be_v and_o nothing_o can_v be_v so_o and_o since_o we_o be_v forget_v it_o and_o the_o more_o need_n they_o have_v of_o something_o to_o fix_v it_o the_o more_o deep_o and_o indelible_o upon_o their_o mind_n so_o that_o this_o reason_n will_v still_o improve_v and_o we_o therefore_o that_o live_v at_o this_o distance_n of_o sixteen_o hundred_o year_n from_o it_o have_v need_n to_o be_v more_o observant_a of_o this_o institution_n to_o refresh_v our_o memory_n than_o they_o that_o live_v but_o a_o very_a few_o year_n or_o day_n after_o it_o and_o so_o every_o age_n that_o shall_v succeed_v we_o will_v have_v more_o need_v still_o till_o the_o for_o a_o disparagement_n and_o dishonour_n to_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n next_o to_o blasphemy_n and_o be_v high_o concern_v to_o consider_v how_o they_o can_v answer_v it_o those_o that_o talk_v so_o dreadful_o of_o man_n stab_a their_o own_o soul_n in_o this_o and_o become_a self-murtherer_n etc._n etc._n use_v word_n of_o fancy_n which_o signify_v nothing_o but_o by_o a_o figure_n and_o nothing_o in_o this_o case_n more_o than_o all_o other_o where_o man_n heedless_o or_o wilful_o prevaricate_v their_o duty_n and_o incense_n god_n against_o they_o and_o those_o that_o tell_v we_o that_o man_n do_v in_o this_o seal_n their_o own_o damnation_n and_o even_o covenant_n with_o god_n to_o be_v damn_v beside_o that_o they_o speak_v only_o of_o their_o own_o head_n speak_v it_o upon_o a_o great_a mistake_n of_o the_o reason_n why_o the_o sacrament_n be_v sometime_o call_v seal_n by_o divine_n and_o by_o the_o holy_a scripture_n too_o i_o know_v circumcision_n be_v once_o call_v by_o s._n paul_n a_o seal_n rom._n 4.11_o but_o i_o do_v not_o know_v whether_o this_o be_v present_o a_o good_a warrant_n for_o call_v all_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n seal_n or_o not_o but_o if_o i_o do_v allow_v this_o holy_a sacrament_n to_o be_v a_o seal_n i_o must_v have_v it_o remember_v that_o it_o be_v a_o seal_n on_o god_n part_n and_o not_o on_o we_o and_o that_o divine_n mean_v thus_o when_o they_o thus_o speak_v god_n almighty_n be_v please_v to_o ratify_v and_o confirm_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o everlasting_a covenant_n to_o we_o by_o these_o symbol_n and_o seal_n of_o it_o if_o you_o please_v to_o call_v they_o so_o and_o in_o some_o sense_n to_o sealâ—_n the_o truth_n of_o his_o own_o gracious_a promise_n but_o i_o do_v not_o so_o well_o understand_v how_o they_o be_v seal_n on_o our_o part_n or_o what_o we_o can_v be_v say_v to_o seal_v unto_o in_o any_o other_o than_o a_o metaphorical_a and_o borrow_a way_n of_o speak_v it_o be_v very_o true_a god_n covenant_n and_o the_o promise_n of_o it_o be_v make_v to_o we_o upon_o the_o condition_n of_o faith_n and_o obedience_n and_o though_o these_o be_v not_o only_o suppose_v in_o they_o that_o come_v to_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n and_o may_v in_o some_o sense_n be_v say_v to_o be_v promise_v and_o adstipulate_v unto_o by_o they_o at_o such_o time_n yet_o that_o be_v but_o a_o collateral_a and_o secondary_a design_n of_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n the_o prime_a design_n of_o it_o be_v to_o confirm_v our_o faith_n in_o god_n and_o not_o to_o seal_v our_o obedience_n unto_o he_o and_o the_o sacrament_n be_v but_o just_a such_o argument_n and_o engagement_n upon_o we_o to_o become_v good_a man_n as_o our_o faith_n in_o the_o divine_a promise_n be_v which_o be_v all_o make_v to_o we_o only_o upon_o that_o condition_n and_o he_o that_o testify_v his_o belief_n of_o those_o promise_n do_v oblige_v himself_o to_o that_o condition_n or_o else_o he_o believe_v like_o a_o fool_n and_o upon_o no_o reason_n at_o all_o but_o have_v i_o not_o say_v one_o word_n of_o this_o matter_n i_o may_v safe_o have_v reply_v that_o whatever_o man_n may_v be_v say_v to_o seal_v to_o in_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n it_o be_v not_o to_o their_o own_o damnation_n why_o yes_o say_v some_o but_o those_o that_o eat_v unworthy_o do_v so_o for_o he_o that_o seal_v with_o god_n for_o life_n and_o salvation_n upon_o the_o condition_n of_o faith_n and_o obedience_n do_v in_o effect_n seal_n to_o his_o own_o damnation_n upon_o his_o fail_v to_o believe_v and_o to_o obey_v but_o i_o say_v still_o this_o be_v a_o great_a mistake_n for_o the_o contract_n or_o covenant_n be_v only_o about_o salvation_n and_o the_o incur_v damnation_n no_o part_n of_o it_o at_o all_o but_o only_o by_o sacrament_n as_o with_o it_o and_o i_o do_v not_o see_v that_o a_o ill_a man_n be_v in_o a_o sure_a way_n to_o damnation_n after_o the_o sacrament_n than_o he_o be_v in_o before_o it_o i_o do_v not_o speak_v thus_o to_o lessen_v the_o obligation_n that_o receive_v the_o holy_a sacrament_n lay_v upon_o all_o to_o dead_a good_a life_n nor_o in_o the_o least_o to_o insinuate_v that_o break_v our_o promise_n then_o make_v to_o god_n be_v not_o a_o very_a great_a sin_n and_o that_o which_o must_v be_v severe_o account_v for_o but_o only_o to_o extenuate_v or_o take_v off_o that_o dread_n of_o come_v to_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n which_o be_v bring_v upon_o man_n spirit_n when_o they_o hear_v such_o terrible_a thing_n say_v of_o it_o but_o still_o this_o be_v a_o matter_n beside_o our_o present_a question_n for_o whatever_o guilt_n or_o damnation_n a_o man_n may_v contract_v and_o incur_v by_o fail_v to_o perform_v the_o promise_n that_o he_o make_v to_o god_n and_o seem_v to_o seal_v in_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n it_o be_v a_o thing_n which_o respect_v his_o fail_a to_o live_v as_o he_o shall_v after_o it_o and_o not_o his_o eat_n and_o drink_v unworthy_o in_o it_o the_o guilt_n be_v contract_v after_o his_o receive_v the_o holy_a sacrament_n and_o not_o at_o it_o and_o whatever_o damnation_n he_o may_v incur_v by_o his_o fault_n afterward_o yet_o he_o do_v not_o seal_v to_o his_o own_o damnation_n in_o it_o i_o may_v add_v another_o consideration_n pertinent_a to_o our_o present_a purpose_n here_o but_o that_o i_o have_v say_v it_o already_o that_o there_o be_v no_o reason_n to_o dread_v any_o such_o extraordinary_a guilt_n in_o eat_v and_o drink_v amiss_o above_o what_o may_v be_v just_o fear_v in_o do_v other_o duty_n of_o religion_n amiss_o but_o this_o i_o have_v consider_v and_o i_o hope_v sufficient_o make_v good_a before_o and_o therefore_o must_v refer_v to_o that_o place_n for_o it_o and_o only_o consider_v two_o short_a surmise_n that_o may_v be_v entertain_v against_o this_o assertion_n and_o explication_n of_o this_o phrase_n 1._o that_o this_o be_v real_o a_o great_a profanation_n of_o christian_a religion_n than_o failure_n in_o other_o service_n of_o it_o be_v this_o be_v count_v the_o most_o high_a sacred_a and_o venerable_a service_n in_o our_o religion_n and_o have_v always_o be_v so_o esteem_v and_o call_v in_o the_o christian_a church_n i_o confess_v it_o have_v and_o such_o a_o gross_a profanation_n of_o it_o as_o the_o corinthian_n be_v guilty_a of_o be_v certain_o a_o very_a heinous_a sin_n but_o that_o do_v
