his_o bed_n and_o the_o too_o much_o use_v thereof_o and_o will_v not_o use_v it_o but_o for_o necessity_n all_o thing_n whatsoever_o which_o be_v at_o first_o do_v with_o great_a difficulty_n they_o become_v gentle_a and_o easy_a by_o use_n a_o man_n must_v combat_v stout_o and_o with_o affliction_n too_o that_o lay_v aside_o his_o confusion_n he_o may_v be_v bring_v into_o order_n and_o whatsoever_o be_v most_o easy_a and_o sweet_a that_o he_o must_v omit_v to_o keep_v himself_o pure_a in_o impurity_n be_v a_o piece_n of_o art_n and_o commendable_a but_o let_v no_o man_n that_o be_v already_o out_o of_o the_o reach_n of_o such_o mingle_v himself_o with_o they_o for_o that_o will_v be_v a_o rashness_n whereas_o he_o that_o be_v in_o they_o already_o aught_o to_o enter_v into_o this_o combat_n and_o to_o conquer_v the_o enemy_n and_o with_o tear_n and_o sorrow_n break_v through_o the_o hostile_a troop_n that_o which_o be_v here_o say_v of_o impurity_n be_v not_o to_o be_v understand_v of_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v in_o themselves_o impure_a for_o no_o purify_a person_n can_v pass_v through_o they_o when_o they_o be_v prohibit_v and_o be_v not_o in_o the_o least_o allow_v of_o but_o of_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o impure_a of_o themselves_o yet_o be_v such_o by_o which_o a_o man_n may_v be_v pollute_v by_o reason_n of_o his_o own_o proper_a impurity_n when_o he_o satisfi_v not_o his_o own_o conscience_n and_o walk_v not_o straight_o forward_o in_o the_o way_n of_o god_n he_o that_o will_v not_o suffer_v be_v afflict_v in_o the_o earth_n he_o err_v in_o judgement_n of_o god_n chap._n fourteen_o when_o a_o man_n perceive_v that_o he_o be_v willing_a to_o abide_v in_o his_o present_a state_n and_o to_o be_v at_o rest_n and_o to_o subsist_v in_o it_o than_o the_o spirit_n cease_v and_o the_o man_n slip_v down_o out_o of_o the_o spirit_n into_o the_o flesh_n there_o the_o rule_n or_o government_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v hinder_v and_o the_o literal_a kingdom_n be_v set_v up_o there_o than_o be_v no_o long_o a_o spiritual_a kingdom_n nor_o a_o increase_n nor_o proficiency_n but_o a_o go_v backward_o and_o a_o leap_v back_o again_o into_o the_o flesh_n and_o into_o the_o creature_n and_o then_o begin_v hatred_n and_o persecution_n towards_o the_o adverse_a part_n that_o they_o will_v not_o so_o much_o as_o receive_v they_o into_o their_o house_n that_o be_v they_o will_v by_o no_o mean_n come_v near_o they_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o that_o and_o thus_o these_o must_v suffer_v by_o and_o from_o they_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n even_o as_o also_o they_o suffer_v in_o their_o flesh_n for_o the_o sake_n of_o sin_n by_o the_o law_n of_o sin_n for_o the_o flesh_n of_o these_o person_n together_o with_o its_o lust_n and_o affection_n be_v by_o the_o law_n lift_v up_o from_o the_o earth_n upon_o the_o cross_n and_o the_o lust_n and_o appetite_n of_o nature_n be_v cut_v off_o and_o reject_v by_o their_o object_n that_o they_o can_v no_o long_o use_v they_o nor_o draw_v life_n from_o they_o the_o universal_a increated_a salvation_n have_v in_o itself_o no_o judgement_n concern_v other_o
but_o in_o a_o just_a measure_n and_o order_n and_o that_o to_o his_o own_o glory_n and_o for_o the_o promotion_n and_o growth_n of_o the_o man_n all_o which_o will_v a_o man_n hinder_v if_o be_v impatient_a under_o the_o cross_n he_o shall_v not_o wait_v upon_o god_n great_a be_v the_o fruit_n of_o affliction_n and_o therefore_o in_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n to_o be_v expect_v i_o expect_v the_o lord_n from_o the_o morning_n watch_n even_o until_o the_o evening_n say_v the_o psalmist_n and_o isaiah_n say_v bless_a be_v all_o they_o that_o wait_v upon_o the_o lord_n for_o they_o that_o wait_v upon_o he_o shall_v never_o be_v confound_v the_o psalmist_n say_v in_o wait_v i_o wait_v upon_o the_o lord_n and_o he_o regard_v i_o now_o if_o there_o be_v neither_o faithfulness_n nor_o the_o lord_n with_o ardent_a sigh_n and_o daily_a tear_n that_o he_o will_v open_v to_o thou_o the_o true_a sense_n of_o his_o most_o holy_a word_n for_o to_o be_v the_o necessary_a food_n of_o thy_o soul_n for_o the_o more_o thou_o shall_v follow_v the_o lord_n the_o more_o thou_o shall_v understand_v of_o holy_a scripture_n and_o by_o how_o much_o the_o less_o thou_o be_v intent_n to_o wait_v upon_o the_o lord_n by_o so_o much_o the_o less_o shall_v thou_o understand_v scripture_n therefore_o let_v thy_o constant_a endeavour_n be_v to_o approve_v thyself_o faithful_a in_o these_o thing_n
