gift_n of_o god_n which_o bring_v into_o the_o true_a nature_n and_o life_n of_o righteousness_n yet_o we_o read_v not_o in_o scripture_n of_o arch-bishop_n and_o lord_n bishop_n that_o be_v set_v up_o in_o the_o true_a church_n nor_o of_o dean_n arch-deacon_n prebend_n chapter_n curate_n etc._n etc._n nor_o that_o the_o minister_n of_o christ_n as_o peter_n paul_n timothy_n titus_n or_o any_o other_o of_o they_o do_v wear_v surplice_n in_o their_o worship_n nor_o that_o they_o keep_v a_o company_n of_o singing-boy_n or_o querister_n in_o the_o true_a church_n to_o sing_v in_o surplice_n in_o a_o popish_a house_n or_o to_o repeat_v a_o invent_a form_n one_o after_o another_o but_o these_o thing_n be_v invent_v and_o set_v up_o in_o the_o night_n of_o apostasy_n when_o man_n be_v degenerate_v from_o the_o life_n and_o worship_n of_o the_o true_a christian_n and_o fall_v into_o antichristianism_n and_o popery_n xxii_o of_o the_o priest_n ordination_n and_o when_o the_o priest_n can_v not_o prove_v their_o education_n and_o fit_v to_o their_o ministry_n at_o school_n and_o college_n by_o natural_a learning_n to_o be_v according_a to_o the_o scripture_n and_o practice_n of_o the_o true_a minister_n then_o have_v they_o flee_v to_o that_o of_o 1_o tim._n 4.14_o to_o prove_v their_o ordination_n by_o the_o lay_n on_o of_o hand_n to_o be_v right_a where_o paul_n say_v to_o timothy_n neglect_v not_o the_o gift_n that_o be_v in_o thou_o which_o be_v give_v thou_o by_o prophecy_n with_o the_o lay_n on_o of_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o presbytery_n or_o company_n of_o eldership_n and_o this_o have_v the_o presbyterian_a priest_n bring_v to_o prove_v themselves_o true_a minister_n and_o yet_o these_o priest_n have_v tell_v we_o that_o immediate_a teach_v ordain_v other_o and_o the_o scripture_n they_o bring_v for_o themselves_o be_v against_o they_o for_o timothy_n and_o the_o elder_n in_o the_o true_a church_n be_v true_o qualify_v and_o make_v minister_n by_o the_o gift_n of_o god_n and_o the_o revelation_n of_o christ_n in_o they_o which_o gift_n be_v give_v they_o by_o prophecy_n and_o that_o they_o be_v not_o to_o neglect_v so_o they_o do_v not_o say_v that_o prophesy_v revelation_n and_o immediate_a inspiration_n be_v cease_v as_o the_o priest_n do_v but_o the_o true_a elder_n in_o the_o lay_n on_o of_o hand_n which_o they_o do_v be_v who_o be_v set_v up_o and_o ordain_v by_o the_o will_n of_o man_n as_o corrupt_v as_o themselves_o be_v neither_o fit_a to_o ordain_v other_o nor_o to_o minister_v to_o other_o and_o such_o as_o do_v hate_n and_o persecute_v man_n for_o their_o

conscience_n will_v compel_v and_o force_v all_o to_o be_v of_o their_o church_n and_o to_o conform_v to_o their_o worship_n though_o it_o be_v never_o so_o much_o contrary_n to_o their_o conscience_n and_o though_o they_o have_v count_v they_o heretic_n deceiver_n seducer_n and_o what_o not_o yet_o if_o they_o can_v force_v they_o outward_o to_o conform_v to_o their_o worship_n they_o shall_v be_v receive_v and_o help_v to_o make_v up_o their_o church_n and_o what_o a_o confuse_a church_n of_o hypocrite_n that_o will_v be_v may_v be_v easy_o judge_v but_o i_o say_v their_o lord_v it_o over_o man_n conscience_n and_o compel_v they_o to_o their_o worship_n and_o persecute_v man_n for_o their_o religion_n be_v never_o the_o way_n to_o convince_v they_o nor_o to_o gain_v they_o to_o god_n what_o outward_a formality_n soever_o they_o may_v force_v they_o to_o by_o a_o outward_a power_n for_o it_o be_v the_o gentle_a meek_a and_o tender_a spirit_n of_o the_o lamb_n that_o must_v appear_v in_o minister_n and_o convince_v and_o regain_v people_n to_o god_n and_o into_o the_o love_n of_o his_o truth_n or_o else_o they_o be_v not_o fit_a instrument_n for_o god_n work_n xxiii_o of_o the_o divine_a service_n but_o the_o service_n which_o be_v in_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v divine_a and_o not_o the_o follow_v of_o man_n device_n and_o be_v it_o not_o evident_a that_o they_o that_o set_v up_o the_o common-prayer-book_n be_v popish_a from_o their_o say_n in_o their_o commination_n against_o sinner_n that_o in_o the_o primitive_a church_n there_o be_v a_o godly_a discipline_n that_o at_o the_o begin_n of_o lent_n such_o person_n as_o be_v notorious_a sinner_n be_v put_v to_o open_a penance_n and_o punish_v in_o this_o world_n that_o their_o soul_n may_v be_v save_v etc._n follow_v nor_o be_v lead_v by_o they_o and_o then_o for_o they_o call_v godfather_n to_o answer_v as_o in_o the_o infant_n name_n and_o say_v i_o forsake_v they_o all_o viz._n the_o devil_n and_o all_o his_o work_n when_o as_o the_o infant_n be_v not_o capable_a of_o any_o such_o promise_n neither_o do_v they_o that_o promise_v so_o for_o they_o fulfil_v what_o they_o promise_v themselves_o and_o after_o they_o say_v that_o the_o child_n have_v promise_v to_o forsake_v the_o devil_n and_o all_o his_o work_n etc._n etc._n those_o call_v godfather_n and_o godmother_n must_v see_v that_o as_o may_v satisfy_v the_o reasonable_a why_o we_o can_v join_v with_o they_o in_o their_o worship_n at_o their_o steeple-house_n nor_o own_v they_o in_o their_o ministry_n for_o the_o lord_n have_v unite_v we_o by_o his_o mighty_a power_n and_o incorporate_v we_o into_o the_o true_a body_n which_o be_v the_o church_n of_o christ_n who_o he_o have_v espouse_v and_o marry_v unto_o himself_o to_o
