country_n peradventure_o shall_v hear_v if_o not_o ring_v of_o it_o thou_o can_v hearty_o pray_v for_o and_o earnest_o seek_v out_o for_o outward_a necessary_n food_n clothing_n fire_n etc._n etc._n but_o how_o few_o will_v stir_v one_o foot_n or_o wet_v a_o finger_n for_o the_o obtain_n of_o grace_n how_o many_o poor_a soul_n never_o have_v any_o one_o thought_n tend_v that_o way_n not_o so_o much_o as_o once_o dream_v of_o the_o necessity_n of_o grace_n and_o therefore_o trouble_v not_o themselves_o about_o it_o let_v all_o such_o beware_v lest_o as_o a_o captain_n who_o find_v one_o of_o pluck_v up_o root_n and_o rind_n of_o all_o such_o weed_n as_o may_v overgrow_v choke_v and_o hinder_v the_o prosper_v of_o grace_n one_o main_a and_o rank_n weed_n be_v spiritual_a pride_n and_o selfe-conceitednesse_a which_o grow_v too_o fast_o in_o the_o best_a soil_n be_v water_v and_o cherish_v by_o the_o devil_n who_o when_o he_o can_v procure_v the_o child_n of_o god_n to_o stoop_v to_o his_o lure_n and_o bite_v at_o his_o bait_n of_o impiety_n and_o profaneness_n then_o labour_v he_o to_o poison_v he_o with_o his_o own_o venom_n to_o puff_n he_o up_o and_o make_v he_o swell_v with_o pride_n of_o his_o gift_n he_o will_v make_v he_o proud_a of_o his_o knowledge_n proud_a of_o his_o preach_n pray_v etc._n etc._n yea_o rather_o than_o fail_v he_o will_v make_v he_o proud_a of_o his_o humility_n proud_a that_o he_o be_v not_o proud_a pluck_v up_o this_o weed_n therefore_o for_o it_o much_o hinder_v grace_n 5._o god_n resist_v the_o proud_a and_o give_v grace_n to_o the_o he_o upon_o his_o own_o leg_n leave_v he_o unto_o himself_o and_o what_o become_v of_o this_o boaster_n at_o the_o word_n of_o a_o maiden_n he_o deny_v and_o forswear_v christ_n curse_n and_o damn_v himself_o if_o ever_o he_o know_v he_o thus_o when_o god_n child_n grow_v careless_a too_o confident_a or_o be_v over-taken_v with_o a_o dead_a sleep_n
