offer_v to_o be_v receyve_v spiritual_o let_v every_o good_a christian_a man_n judge_v this_o by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n ¶_o but_o thou_o say_v if_o the_o hang_v up_o of_o the_o sacrament_n and_o the_o bear_n of_o it_o about_o for_o to_o be_v corporal_o worshyp_v shall_v be_v lay_v a_o side_n as_o a_o abuse_n so_o shall_v we_o condemn_v therewith_o as_o manifest_a ydolatrer_n both_o all_o show_v it_o to_o hang_v it_o up_o and_o to_o bear_v it_o about_o to_o have_v it_o corporal_o worshyp_v only_o which_o kind_n of_o honour_v it_o with_o out_o the_o receyve_n thereof_o as_o the_o lord_n have_v make_v not_o mention_v of_o it_o neither_o by_o word_n nor_o deed_n in_o all_o his_o holy_a scripture_n and_o do_v therefore_o serve_v to_o the_o vain_a trust_n in_o the_o invencyon_n of_o man_n so_o have_v he_o forboden_v it_o as_o a_o thing_n most_o abominable_a in_o his_o sight_n this_o abuse_n be_v to_o be_v condemn_v although_o we_o do_v not_o therewith_o condemn_v the_o hole_n church_n of_o christ_n that_o either_o have_v or_o do_v yet_o abide_v in_o the_o same_o unwittinglye_o for_o as_o many_o of_o the_o child_n of_o god_n as_o have_v or_o do_v yet_o
follow_v this_o abuse_n not_o know_v any_o better_a but_o be_v seduce_v by_o their_o pastor_n that_o do_v they_o not_o as_o the_o membre_n of_o jesu_n christ_n and_o of_o his_o church_n christ_n the_o membre_n of_o the_o church_n may_v well_o â—â—re_v but_o not_o as_o the_o membre_n of_o christ_n but_o as_o they_o be_v unperfite_a and_o ignorant_a person_n which_o ignorance_n god_n our_o heavenlye_a father_n for_o his_o son_n sake_n jesu_n christ_n shall_v forgeve_v they_o withal_o their_o other_o offence_n like_o as_o he_o do_v forgeve_v we_o our_o daily_a sin_n also_o when_o so_o ever_o they_o or_o we_o do_v repent_v ¶_o but_o for_o a_o excuse_n of_o this_o cloak_v holiness_n the_o pope_n say_v further_a it_o can_v be_v none_o abuse_v nor_o any_o evell_a thing_n what_o so_o ever_o be_v of_o good_a devotion_n do_v to_o the_o honour_n of_o god_n and_o to_o the_o have_a of_o his_o sacrament_n in_o hygh_a reverence_n ¶_o the_o answer_n this_o be_v very_o well_o speak_v if_o all_o man_n know_v true_o what_o good_a devotion_n be_v which_o doubtless_o can_v be_v in_o nothing_o where_o god_n word_n and_o commandment_n be_v not_o king_n vzia_n do_v of_o a_o good_a devotion_n for_o to_o be_v corporal_o wourshyp_v also_o as_o the_o ark_n be_v and_o as_o this_o be_v a_o great_a abuse_n to_o set_v up_o the_o sacrament_n or_o to_o carry_v it_o about_o in_o processyon_n for_o to_o have_v it_o corporal_o wourshyp_v without_o the_o present_n of_o it_o to_o be_v corporal_o receyve_v sayinge_v once_o in_o the_o year_n only_o so_o be_v this_o no_o less_o abuse_v to_o receyve_v it_o than_o neither_o but_o in_o one_o kind_n only_o and_o that_o this_o be_v also_o a_o abuse_n consydre_fw-mi first_o that_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v grant_v to_o be_v a_o abuse_n to_o alter_v any_o of_o god_n ordinance_n otherwise_o than_o he_o use_v they_o himself_o abuse_n to_o use_v any_o thing_n otherwise_o than_o the_o lord_n have_v command_v be_v a_o abuse_n and_o command_v they_o to_o be_v use_v of_o other_o now_o be_v it_o plain_a and_o of_o all_o man_n confess_v that_o the_o lord_n in_o his_o first_o souper_n do_v communicate_v the_o sacrament_n in_o both_o kynde_n unto_o his_o comprehensyblye_o or_o natural_o bind_v he_o unto_o they_o because_o they_o have_v be_v once_o present_v at_o his_o holy_a souper_n but_o we_o must_v needs_o grant_v this_o sacrament_n to_o be_v receyve_v it_o corporal_o in_o and_o at_o the_o holi_fw-la souper_fw-fr so_o can_v we_o not_o say_v that_o we_o do_v reserve_v christ_n amongst_o we_o after_o the_o souper_n but_o by_o the_o applyenge_a of_o our_o hole_n lyve_n to_o his_o holy_a will_n us._n how_o to_o reserve_v christ_n amongst_o us._n as_o by_o the_o often_o receyve_n of_o this_o sacrament_n and_o by_o the_o
presenting_z of_o this_o his_o sacrament_n to_o be_v external_o receyve_v in_o the_o remembrance_n of_o the_o same_o as_o cause_v we_o both_o to_o repent_v of_o our_o former_a sin_n and_o to_o be_v ready_a and_o glad_a to_o receyve_v it_o also_o accord_v to_o his_o ordinance_n for_o the_o better_a assurance_n of_o the_o same_o faith_n in_o us._n the_o which_o faith_n as_o we_o can_v never_o conceive_v it_o by_o this_o sacrament_n but_o only_o when_o it_o be_v present_v to_o be_v external_o receyve_v accord_v to_o christ_n ordinance_n for_o his_o ordinance_n in_o it_o and_o in_o all_o execute_v the_o offyce_v and_o do_v of_o christ_n a_o right_a that_o follow_v it_o only_o the_o christ_n himself_o do_v in_o it_o then_o do_v not_o those_o priest_n use_v this_o sacrament_n a_o right_a that_o will_v not_o intend_v when_o they_o will_v hold_v the_o souper_n of_o the_o lord_n to_o stir_v up_o a_o true_a faith_n in_o christ_n for_o the_o freremyt_v of_o all_o sin_n and_o for_o the_o confer_a of_o all_o other_o virtue_n by_o the_o offering_n of_o it_o to_o be_v receyve_v external_o and_o that_o with_o the_o gyve_n of_o such_o thanks_n through_o the_o recite_v up_o of_o the_o great_a goodness_n of_o god_n show_v forth_o in_o our_o saviour_n jesu_n christ_n as_o may_v quicken_v in_o the_o people_n both_o a_o sure_a faith_n in_o christ_n and_o also_o a_o reverence_n towards_o his_o ordinance_n or_o ever_o they_o shall_v receyve_v it_o but_o will_v make_v they_o believe_v either_o that_o they_o shall_v receyve_v as_o much_o profit_n if_o they_o do_v but_o look_v profyt_n if_o they_o do_v receive_v it_o but_o in_o one_o kind_n only_o as_o they_o shall_v if_o they_o do_v take_v it_o in_o both_o and_o fourthly_a i_o have_v declare_v that_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v much_o reprove_v in_o a_o true_a christian_a man_n to_o be_v present_a at_o the_o holy_a souper_fw-fr of_o the_o lord_n and_o not_o to_o receyve_v the_o sacrament_n because_o the_o do_v thereof_o must_v needs_o proceed_v of_o the_o imperfection_n of_o faith_n as_o either_o because_o man_n do_v not_o believe_v these_o word_n a_o right_a when_o they_o be_v speak_v unto_o they_o take_v eat_v take_v drink_n or_o that_o they_o do_v not_o eastern_a there_o enough_o the_o healthful_a meat_n &_o drink_v of_o his_o body_n and_o blood_n or_o else_o they_o have_v some_o superstitious_a fear_n of_o the_o sacrament_n in_o think_n they_o to_o require_v a_o full_a perfection_n of_o life_n to_o be_v in_o we_o before_o we_o shall_v receyve_v they_o when_o they_o require_v none_o other_o perfection_n to_o be_v in_o we_o then_o that_o we_o will_v but_o one_o desire_n unfeyned_o to_o have_v our_o imperfection_n and_o weakness_n strengthen_v by_o such_o thing_n as_o they_o free_o offer_v we_o to_o do_v the_o same_o with_o all_o now_o which_o of_o all_o these_o three_o do_v hold_v a_o man_n from_o receyve_n of_o the_o sacrament_n it_o be_v doubtless_o worthy_a great_a reprofe_n these_o thanks_n geve_v no_o more_o then_o take_v eat_v this_o be_v my_o body_n which_o shall_v be_v give_v for_o you_o but_o at_o the_o minister_a of_o the_o cup_n he_o say_v &_o command_v other_o in_o his_o name_n to_o say_v take_v drink_n this_o cup_n be_v the_o new_a testament_n in_o my_o blood_n which_o shall_v be_v shed_v for_o you_o and_o for_o many_o unto_o the_o remission_n of_o sin_n behold_v minister_v so_o much_o the_o great_a be_v the_o sacrament_n that_o minister_v they_o and_o therefore_o no_o christian_a man_n yea_o no_o angel_n from_o heaven_n ought_v to_o have_v take_v away_o from_o the_o weak_a &_o sinful_a flock_n of_o christ_n this_o most_o comfortable_a sacrament_n special_o sing_v the_o lord_n himself_o command_v it_o to_o be_v use_v also_o with_o so_o great_a ferventness_n wherefore_o he_o that_o will_v with_o hold_v this_o sacrament_n of_o wine_n from_o the_o people_n in_o the_o holy_a souper_fw-fr shall_v as_o much_o as_o in_o he_o lie_v keep_v from_o dede_n and_o all_o other_o godly_a exercyse_n but_o wilful_o follow_v the_o work_n of_o the_o flesh_n so_o do_v he_o lose_v the_o profit_n that_o he_o have_v receyve_v before_o by_o the_o bread_n be_v yet_o holy_a against_o christ_n &_o his_o manifest_a commandment_n for_o if_o you_o understande_v by_o the_o spiritual_a receyve_a of_o this_o sacrament_n that_o it_o must_v be_v receyve_v in_o true_a faith_n spiritual_o the_o sacrament_n be_v institute_v to_o be_v receyve_v both_o corporal_o and_o spiritual_o but_o yet_o corporal_o also_o then_o be_v that_o the_o only_a receyve_n of_o it_o accord_v to_o god_n spiritual_a ordinance_n and_o none_o other_o but_o if_o you_o understande_v your_o say_n of_o such_o a_o spiritual_a receyve_n of_o this_o sacra_fw-la as_o be_v with_o out_o the_o against_o the_o commandment_n of_o christ_n to_o make_v a_o gaze_v stock_n of_o the_o sacrament_n &_o not_o to_o receive_v it_o in_o say_v thou_o can_v call_v asmuch_o to_o mind_n when_o thou_o do_v be_v to_o receyve_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o the_o sacrament_n when_o we_o receyve_v it_o corporal_o what_o it_o be_v and_o also_o to_o amend_v they_o again_o by_o the_o humble_a follow_v of_o his_o law_n and_o yet_o for_o the_o mayntenaunce_n of_o a_o spiritual_a receyve_n
