way_n than_o they_o have_v there_o be_v this_o difference_n between_o a_o man_n that_o walk_v upright_o in_o all_o his_o conversation_n and_o a_o man_n that_o have_v sinister_a end_n of_o his_o own_o to_o pursue_v the_o former_a have_v always_o the_o free_a use_n of_o his_o intellectual_a power_n and_o can_v exert_v his_o reason_n in_o its_o high_a perfection_n and_o to_o the_o best_a advantage_n whereas_o the_o latter_a be_v horrible_o cloud_v in_o his_o discern_a faculty_n he_o have_v constant_o a_o mist_n before_o his_o eye_n which_o hinder_v he_o from_o right_o distinguish_v the_o object_n he_o look_v upon_o and_o consequent_o occasion_n many_o blunder_n and_o mistake_v in_o the_o choice_n of_o his_o way_n my_o meaning_n be_v this_o whoever_o frame_v his_o life_n by_o other_o measure_n than_o those_o of_o honesty_n and_o conscience_n whoever_o intemperate_o pursue_v his_o private_a end_n or_o be_v a_o slave_n to_o inordinate_a passion_n let_v they_o be_v of_o what_o kind_n they_o will_v these_o thing_n do_v clap_v such_o a_o bias_n upon_o his_o soul_n as_o render_v he_o utter_o uncapable_a of_o make_v a_o right_a judgement_n of_o thing_n before_o he_o and_o consequent_o must_v vainglory_n or_o avarice_n or_o ambition_n it_o be_v a_o wonderful_a thing_n to_o see_v how_o monstrous_o they_o distort_v his_o reason_n and_o what_o odd_a extravagant_a course_n they_o put_v he_o upon_o and_o this_o even_a in_o plain_a easy_a case_n nay_o though_o the_o man_n in_o other_o thing_n where_o his_o affection_n have_v no_o influence_n be_v a_o very_a wise_a man._n one_o can_v scarce_o imagine_v the_o power_n that_o these_o thing_n have_v over_o a_o man_n judgement_n but_o that_o we_o every_o day_n see_v such_o strange_a instance_n of_o it_o but_o now_o the_o upright_a man_n be_v not_o in_o the_o least_o obnoxious_a to_o any_o of_o these_o inconvenience_n for_o have_v no_o turn_n to_o serve_v but_o those_o that_o be_v honest_a and_o good_a have_v no_o private_a affection_n or_o passion_n to_o be_v gratify_v he_o look_v upon_o thing_n in_o a_o pure_a and_o simple_a light_n and_o not_o through_o a_o colour_a glass_n and_o consequent_o his_o conception_n of_o they_o as_o far_o as_o humane_a endeavour_n can_v secure_v be_v according_a to_o their_o nature_n and_o his_o determination_n and_o resolution_n be_v suitable_a to_o his_o conception_n that_o be_v to_o say_v be_v reasonable_a and_o fit_a and_o such_o as_o become_v the_o occasion_n as_o his_o main_a design_n be_v to_o do_v in_o all_o instance_n that_o which_o be_v best_a so_o that_o design_n person_n that_o protection_n and_o security_n he_o procure_v to_o the_o community_n and_o if_o he_o have_v not_o be_v upright_o as_o the_o public_a will_v have_v fare_v something_o the_o worse_a for_o it_o so_o it_o be_v certain_a he_o in_o his_o private_a capacity_n will_v in_o the_o same_o proportion_n have_v fare_v the_o worse_a also_o but_o this_o consideration_n of_o the_o conduciveness_n of_o honesty_n and_o uprightness_n to_o the_o good_a of_o the_o public_a i_o direct_v chief_o to_o those_o that_o be_v in_o office_n and_o authority_n for_o real_o their_o carriage_n and_o conduct_n have_v a_o more_o than_o ordinary_a stroke_n in_o the_o good_a or_o bad_a success_n of_o the_o common_a affair_n and_o therefore_o it_o concern_v they_o especial_o to_o look_v to_o themselves_o that_o they_o be_v man_n of_o integrity_n and_o keep_v a_o good_a conscience_n in_o the_o discharge_n of_o their_o trust_n upon_o their_o upright_a walk_n the_o safety_n and_o preservation_n of_o the_o public_a many_o year_n bless_v we_o with_o above_o any_o other_o people_n perhaps_o in_o the_o christian_a world_n but_o also_o from_o the_o wonderful_a providence_n by_o which_o he_o have_v from_o time_n to_o time_n preserve_v our_o church_n and_o with_o it_o the_o true_a religion_n among_o we_o notwithstanding_o the_o various_a attempt_n of_o our_o enemy_n to_o subvert_v it_o o_o may_v these_o mercy_n of_o god_n to_o our_o nation_n never_o be_v forget_v and_o may_v we_o always_o remember_v they_o with_o that_o due_a thankfulness_n they_o call_v for_o at_o our_o hand_n and_o thus_o much_o of_o our_o church_n and_o state_n be_v entire_o in_o god_n almighty_n disposal_n and_o that_o he_o do_v real_o manage_v and_o order_v all_o thing_n among_o we_o and_o likewise_o so_o manage_v they_o that_o all_o shall_v at_o last_o turn_n to_o the_o good_a of_o his_o people_n and_o to_o the_o good_a of_o every_o honest_a man_n i_o say_v since_o we_o be_v or_o may_v be_v satisfy_v that_o our_o business_n be_v
