be_v a_o mean_a to_o serve_v thy_o providence_n for_o the_o preservation_n of_o health_n and_o life_n here_o so_o that_o he_o which_o contemn_v to_o eat_v because_o thy_o providence_n be_v certain_a and_o infallible_a the_o same_o contemn_v thy_o providence_n in_o deed_n if_o it_o be_v so_o that_o meat_n can_v not_o be_v have_v then_o shall_v we_o not_o tie_v thy_o providence_n to_o this_o mean_a but_o make_v it_o free_a as_o thou_o be_v free_a that_o be_v that_o without_o meat_n thou_o can_v help_v and_o give_v health_n and_o life_n for_o it_o be_v not_o of_o any_o need_n that_o thou_o use_v any_o instrument_n or_o mean_v to_o serve_v thy_o providence_n thy_o power_n &_o wisdom_n be_v infinite_a and_o therefore_o shall_v we_o hang_v on_o thy_o providence_n even_o when_o all_o be_v clean_o be_v good_a lord_n can_v not_o move_v we_o to_o love_v thou_o whatsoever_o thing_n we_o see_v fair_a good_a wise_a mighty_a be_v but_o even_a sparkle_n of_o that_o power_n beauty_n goodness_n wisdom_n which_o thou_o be_v for_o to_o the_o end_n thou_o may_v declare_v thy_o riches_n beauty_n power_n wisdom_n goodness_n etc_n etc_n thou_o have_v not_o only_o make_v but_o still_o do_v conserve_v all_o riches_n that_o thou_o have_v for_o if_o to_o thine_o enemy_n which_o love_v thou_o not_o as_o the_o most_o part_n in_o this_o world_n be_v if_o to_o they_o thou_o give_v so_o plentiful_o thy_o riches_n here_o what_o shall_v we_o think_v that_o with_o thyself_o thou_o haste_v lay_v up_o for_o thy_o friend_n how_o good_a thou_o be_v all_o creature_n general_o and_o particular_o do_v teach_v what_o creature_n be_v there_o in_o the_o world_n which_o thou_o have_v not_o make_v for_o our_o commodity_n i_o will_v not_o say_v how_o that_o thou_o may_v have_v make_v we_o creature_n without_o sense_n or_o reason_n if_o thou_o have_v will_v but_o amongst_o all_o thing_n none_o do_v so_o teach_v we_o thy_o great_a love_n towards_o we_o as_o do_v the_o death_n of_o thy_o most_o dear_o belove_a son_n 15._o who_o suffer_v the_o pain_n &_o terror_n thereof_o yea_o and_o of_o hell_n itself_o for_o our_o sake_n if_o this_o thy_o love_n have_v be_v but_o a_o small_a love_n it_o will_v never_o have_v last_v so_o long_o nor_o christ_n shall_v never_o have_v die_v i.b._n a_o meditation_n concern_v the_o sober_a usage_n of_o the_o body_n that_o it_o may_v be_v subject_a and_o obedient_a to_o the_o soul_n this_o our_o body_n which_o god_n have_v make_v to_o be_v the_o tabernacle_n and_o mansion_n of_o our_o soul_n for_o this_o life_n if_o we_o consider_v it_o according_o we_o can_v not_o but_o use_v it_o otherwise_o than_o we_o do_v that_o be_v we_o will_v use_v it_o for_o the_o soul_n sake_n be_v the_o guest_n thereof_o and_o not_o for_o the_o body_n itself_o and_o so_o shall_v it_o be_v serve_v in_o thing_n to_o help_v but_o not_o to_o hinder_v the_o soul_n a_o servant_n it_o be_v &_o therefore_o it_o ought_v to_o obey_v to_o serve_v the_o soul_n that_o the_o soul_n may_v serve_v god_n not_o as_o the_o body_n will_v neither_o as_o the_o soul_n itself_o will_v but_o as_o god_n will_v who_o will_v we_o shall_v learn_v to_o know_v &_o behave_v ourselves_o thereafter_o the_o which_o thing_n to_o observe_v be_v hard_a for_o we_o now_o by_o reason_n of_o sin_n which_o have_v get_v a_o mansion_n house_n in_o our_o body_n and_o dwell_v in_o we_o as_o do_v the_o soul_n to_o the_o which_o sin_n i_o mean_v we_o be_v altogether_o of_o ourselves_o incline_v because_o we_o natural_o be_v sinner_n and_o bear_v in_o sin_n by_o reason_n whereof_o we_o be_v ready_a as_o servant_n to_o sin_n and_o to_o use_v our_o body_n according_o make_v the_o soul_n to_o sit_v at_o reward_n and_o pamper_v up_o the_o servant_n to_o our_o shame_n oh_o therefore_o good_a lord_n that_o it_o will_v please_v thou_o to_o open_v this_o gear_n unto_o i_o and_o to_o give_v i_o eye_n to_o consider_v effectual_o this_o my_o body_n what_o it_o be_v namely_o a_o servant_n lend_v every_o man_n take_v to_o be_v friendly_a and_o agree_v to_o his_o nature_n the_o same_o do_v he_o judge_v necessary_o to_o be_v good_a for_o he_o and_o to_o be_v desire_v this_o be_v meat_n drink_n apparel_n riches_n favour_n dignity_n rule_n knowledge_n and_o such_o like_a because_o they_o be_v think_v good_a and_o agree_v either_o to_o the_o body_n or_o to_o the_o mind_n or_o to_o both_o for_o they_o help_v either_o to_o the_o conservation_n or_o to_o the_o pleasure_n of_o man_n account_v of_o every_o one_o amongst_o good_a thing_n howbeit_o such_o be_v the_o weakness_n of_o our_o wit_n on_o the_o one_o part_n &_o the_o blindness_n and_o too_o much_o rage_n of_o our_o lust_n on_o the_o other_o part_n that_o we_o be_v leave_v to_o ourselves_o can_v not_o but_o in_o the_o desire_n of_o thing_n which_o we_o judge_v good_a and_o agree_v to_o our_o nature_n by_o the_o judgement_n of_o our_o sense_n and_o reason_n we_o can_v not_o i_o say_v but_o overpass_v the_o bound_n whereby_o of_o thy_o spirit_n and_o faith_n may_v also_o bring_v forth_o the_o fruit_n of_o good_a work_n and_o that_o what_o so_o ever_o we_o take_v in_o hand_n may_v prosper_v and_o tend_v to_o the_o praise_n and_o glory_n of_o thy_o name_n and_o furtherance_n of_o our_o salvation_n and_o at_o the_o last_o when_o the_o wicked_a shall_v fall_v away_o in_o thy_o judgement_n â–ª_o we_o may_v stand_v steadfast_a and_o be_v make_v perfect_a through_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n amen_o out_o of_o the_o same_o psalm_n almighty_a god_n we_o be_v sufficient_o teach_v that_o grievous_a calamity_n and_o miserable_a plague_n do_v therefore_o daily_o vex_v and_o trouble_v thy_o church_n because_o we_o have_v not_o cease_v to_o follow_v the_o counsel_n of_o the_o ungodly_a which_o be_v once_o thy_o commandment_n we_o have_v also_o of_o long_a time_n contemn_v all_o godly_a correction_n and_o discipline_n and_o whatsoever_o have_v be_v teach_v we_o out_o of_o thy_o word_n have_v be_v too_o little_o regard_v â–ª_o yea_o without_o all_o shame_n neglect_v and_o scorn_v wherefore_o it_o be_v no_o marvel_n if_o we_o in_o the_o steed_n of_o that_o happiness_n and_o quiet_a peace_n which_o we_o alas_o have_v too_o long_o abuse_v be_v now_o compel_v to_o suffer_v all_o heavy_a grievous_a and_o most_o bitter_a plague_n but_o now_o oh_o god_n in_o humbleness_n of_o heart_n we_o flee_v unto_o thou_o confess_v our_o grievous_a offence_n and_o we_o most_o humble_o and_o hearty_o beseech_v thou_o that_o those_o evil_n which_o we_o so_o foolish_o and_o wretched_o have_v commit_v thou_o will_v merciful_o forgive_v we_o and_o frame_v our_o mind_n whole_o to_o the_o obedience_n of_o thy_o law_n in_o such_o wise_a that_o our_o heart_n may_v be_v occupy_v both_o day_n and_o night_n in_o nothing_o else_o but_o in_o the_o meditation_n of_o thy_o holy_a scripture_n for_o so_o shall_v we_o give_v credit_n to_o thy_o word_n bring_v forth_o seasonable_a and_o pleasant_a fruit_n and_o shall_v not_o be_v spoil_v of_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n yea_o our_o do_n shall_v never_o be_v without_o happy_a success_n now_o we_o be_v toss_v hither_o &_o thither_o not_o unlike_a to_o leaf_n and_o chaff_n with_o the_o wind_n of_o adversity_n and_o affliction_n yet_o grant_v oh_o most_o merciful_a father_n that_o our_o life_n perish_v not_o with_o the_o wicked_a but_o that_o the_o cause_n of_o the_o just_a may_v be_v defend_v by_o thy_o singular_a providence_n and_o protection_n so_o that_o in_o judgement_n and_o in_o the_o company_n of_o the_o just_a we_o may_v be_v able_a to_o stand_v and_o not_o to_o be_v confound_v through_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n amen_o out_o of_o the_o same_o psalm_n almighty_a god_n for_o as_o much_o as_o we_o have_v now_o learned_a that_o a_o great_a part_n of_o our_o felicity_n so_o long_o as_o we_o live_v here_o consist_v in_o this_o that_o we_o refrain_v from_o ungodly_a counsel_n and_o wicked_a manner_n and_o also_o avoid_v the_o company_n of_o those_o that_o despise_v and_o deride_v all_o good_a thing_n and_o that_o in_o the_o stead_n of_o these_o evil_n we_o give_v ourselves_o to_o the_o heavenly_a study_n of_o thy_o holy_a law_n to_o be_v occupy_v and_o exercise_v therein_o both_o day_n and_o night_n whereby_o we_o do_v perceive_v that_o we_o have_v very_o much_o err_v and_o stray_v from_o this_o way_n of_o our_o salvation_n yea_o we_o have_v in_o these_o thing_n most_o wicked_o offend_v therefore_o we_o beseech_v thou_o even_o for_o thy_o mercy_n sake_n that_o thou_o will_v pardon_v our_o offence_n and_o that_o henceforth_o by_o the_o continual_a study_n and_o exercise_v of_o thy_o word_n thou_o will_v vouchsafe_v to_o make_v we_o fruitful_a plant_n that_o we_o may_v not_o only_o bring_v forth_o wholesome_a fruit_n in_o thy_o church_n while_o we_o live_v here_o but_o also_o may_v be_v able_a in_o the_o other_o world_n to_o stand_v in_o judgement_n before_o thou_o who_o best_o know_v the_o
