come_v and_o persecution_n shall_v arise_v for_o christ_n sake_n and_o the_o gospels_n sake_n alas_o most_o man_n will_v yield_v to_o any_o religion_n to_o popery_n idolatry_n superstition_n to_o the_o flock_n of_o the_o companion_n to_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n to_o flat_a idolatry_n for_o alas_o they_o know_v not_o the_o truth_n they_o be_v not_o teach_v of_o god_n they_o be_v blind_a and_o ignorant_a and_o will_v easy_o believe_v and_o embrace_v any_o religion_n use_v 2_o this_o must_v stir_v up_o every_o true_a christian_n man_n and_o woman_n to_o
world_n must_v appear_v before_o the_o throne_n of_o christ_n jesus_n three_o if_o you_o desire_v to_o be_v instruct_v by_o what_o mean_n and_o after_o what_o manner_n christ_n jesus_n will_v proceed_v in_o judgement_n what_o shall_v be_v the_o evidence_n and_o the_o witness_n what_o jury_n shall_v pass_v upon_o every_o man_n and_o woman_n the_o holy_a ghost_n tell_v we_o that_o the_o book_n for_o the_o comfort_n and_o instruction_n of_o the_o church_n of_o god_n for_o evermore_o here_o than_o we_o may_v note_v the_o great_a care_n and_o love_n of_o jesus_n christ_n towards_o his_o poor_a church_n and_o people_n that_o he_o will_v not_o have_v they_o ignorant_a of_o his_o second_o come_v to_o judgement_n but_o he_o do_v make_v it_o know_v to_o his_o disciple_n john_n and_o bid_v he_o record_v it_o in_o the_o book_n of_o god_n for_o our_o instruction_n that_o so_o no_o man_n may_v be_v ignorant_a of_o it_o but_o rather_o may_v prepare_v himself_o by_o true_a repentance_n to_o meet_v the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n in_o the_o cloud_n now_o concern_v the_o vision_n saint_n john_n see_v a_o great_a white_a throne_n he_o see_v a_o throne_n set_v and_o this_o throne_n be_v describe_v by_o two_o property_n first_o a_o great_a throne_n throne_n 1_o great_a throne_n secondy_a a_o white_a throne_n the_o first_o show_v the_o wonderful_a may_v majesty_n and_o power_n of_o the_o judge_n the_o second_o show_v the_o purity_n integrity_n and_o uprightness_n of_o the_o great_a judge_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n 25.31_o mat._n 25.31_o and_o as_o it_o be_v show_v unto_o john_n in_o a_o vision_n so_o our_o saviour_n christ_n himself_o speak_v of_o it_o when_o he_o show_v that_o as_o earthly_a king_n when_o they_o will_v make_v show_v of_o their_o regal_a power_n and_o dignity_n of_o their_o majesty_n they_o ascend_v into_o the_o throne_n of_o their_o kingdom_n even_o so_o christ_n jesus_n when_o he_o come_v to_o judgement_n he_o will_v come_v with_o all_o glory_n all_o his_o holy_a angel_n shall_v attend_v on_o his_o sacred_a person_n and_o then_o he_o will_v ascend_v into_o this_o great_a white_a throne_n of_o his_o glory_n to_o pronounce_v that_o final_a sentence_n both_o on_o the_o sheep_n and_o on_o the_o goat_n use_v 1_o here_o then_o we_o see_v a_o manifest_a difference_n between_o christ_n come_v in_o the_o flesh_n to_o be_v a_o mediator_n and_o redeemer_n and_o his_o second_o come_v to_o judgement_n and_o sure_o it_o make_v much_o for_o the_o comfort_n of_o god_n poor_a child_n that_o though_o here_o they_o be_v in_o want_n in_o misery_n and_o poverty_n yet_o they_o shall_v be_v make_v partaker_n of_o this_o glory_n of_o their_o head_n christ_n jesus_n second_o it_o serve_v to_o astonish_v all_o hard-hearted_a sinner_n which_o contemn_v christ_n and_o his_o poor_a member_n christ_n will_v at_o last_o manifest_v his_o power_n in_o their_o just_a condemnation_n see_v the_o person_n of_o the_o use_v 2_o judge_n be_v of_o such_o endless_a power_n and_o glory_n of_o such_o wonderful_a might_n and_o majesty_n this_o must_v humble_v all_o man_n when_o they_o come_v to_o stand_v in_o presence_n of_o so_o great_a a_o person_n as_o we_o do_v when_o we_o come_v to_o hear_v the_o word_n preach_v and_o teach_v to_o receive_v the_o holy_a sacrament_n if_o we_o be_v to_o come_v but_o into_o the_o presence_n of_o a_o earthly_a prince_n how_o careful_a and_o circumspect_o will_v we_o behave_v ourselves_o to_o do_v nothing_o unbeseeming_a the_o presence_n of_o so_o great_a a_o person_n this_o be_v the_o great_a care_n man_n have_v when_o they_o come_v into_o the_o presence_n of_o a_o earthly_a judge_n to_o put_v off_o their_o hat_n and_o to_o show_v all_o token_n of_o reverence_n and_o yet_o it_o be_v a_o wonder_n to_o see_v how_o unreverent_o man_n and_o woman_n come_v into_o the_o ptesence_n of_o the_o euer-living_a and_o most_o high_a god_n unto_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o great_a judge_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n the_o king_n of_o king_n and_o lord_n of_o lord_n when_o we_o come_v to_o pray_v or_o to_o sing_v psalm_n unto_o god_n how_o unreverent_o do_v some_o sit_v with_o their_o hat_n on_o will_v any_o man_n do_v it_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o a_o earthly_a judge_n or_o a_o mortal_a presence_n sure_o it_o be_v a_o unreverent_a behaviour_n to_o sit_v cover_v either_o when_o we_o speak_v unto_o god_n by_o prayer_n or_o when_o god_n speak_v unto_o we_o in_o his_o word_n again_o when_o man_n come_v to_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o this_o great_a judge_n the_o glorious_a gospel_n of_o jesus_n christ_n when_o they_o read_v it_o private_o in_o their_o house_n it_o be_v wonderful_a to_o see_v what_o little_a reverence_n they_o show_v in_o the_o glorious_a presence_n of_o this_o great_a judge_n will_v any_o earthly_a prince_n take_v it_o in_o good_a part_n if_o thou_o shall_v stand_v in_o his_o presence_n and_o he_o talk_v with_o thou_o for_o thy_o good_a and_o thou_o shall_v even_o at_o that_o time_n turn_v thy_o back_n upon_o he_o and_o fall_v to_o wipe_v of_o thy_o shoe_n or_o some_o base_a business_n though_o man_n dare_v not_o do_v this_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o a_o earthly_a prince_n yet_o when_o jesus_n christ_n shall_v speak_v unto_o they_o in_o his_o word_n and_o gospel_n they_o will_v more_o regard_v the_o vain_a and_o foolish_a talk_n of_o any_o boy_n or_o girl_n that_o shall_v prattle_v in_o their_o ear_n than_o the_o heavenly_a voice_n of_o this_o great_a judge_n christ_n jesus_n which_o show_v very_o plain_o that_o they_o care_v not_o for_o christ_n and_o that_o they_o make_v but_o small_a account_n of_o his_o word_n and_o glorious_a gospel_n oh_o therefore_o let_v we_o consider_v when_o we_o come_v either_o to_o speak_v to_o god_n by_o our_o prayer_n or_o to_o hear_v christ_n speak_v unto_o we_o in_o his_o word_n that_o we_o come_v to_o appear_v in_o a_o glorious_a presence_n that_o so_o we_o may_v come_v in_o fear_n and_o reverence_n as_o become_v the_o presence_n of_o so_o great_a a_o majesty_n use_v 3_o see_v the_o person_n of_o the_o judge_n be_v of_o such_o endless_a majesty_n and_o power_n we_o must_v take_v throne_n it_o betoken_v purity_n beauty_n sincerity_n and_o integrity_n and_o therefore_o it_o show_v that_o christ_n jesus_n the_o judge_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n will_v judge_v all_o cause_n and_o all_o person_n upright_o sincere_o and_o pure_o no_o cruelty_n no_o injustice_n nor_o wrong_n will_v he_o do_v to_o any_o creature_n but_o will_v proceed_v most_o sincere_o in_o all_o uprightness_n indeed_o judgement_n in_o this_o world_n many_o time_n swerve_v great_o sometime_o the_o judge_n be_v not_o able_a to_o search_v into_o the_o depth_n of_o the_o cause_n sometime_o for_o fear_n he_o dare_v not_o do_v justice_n sometime_o for_o
favour_n he_o be_v withheld_a sometime_o bribe_v blind_a his_o eye_n and_o pervert_v the_o right_a sentence_n but_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v so_o with_o this_o judge_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n his_o sentence_n be_v a_o righteous_a sentence_n he_o will_v judge_v according_a to_o truth_n he_o be_v able_a to_o find_v out_o any_o cause_n and_o will_v examine_v it_o to_o the_o bottom_n he_o fear_v no_o man_n person_n he_o will_v not_o be_v move_v with_o favour_n to_o conceal_v the_o truth_n and_o as_o for_o reward_n he_o contemn_v they_o all_o therefore_o no_o doubt_n he_o will_v proceed_v according_a to_o justice_n this_o serve_v for_o the_o comfort_n use_v 1_o of_o god_n people_n in_o this_o world_n we_o see_v oftentimes_o the_o righteous_a cause_n be_v tread_v under_o foot_n man_n land_n and_o live_n be_v detain_v and_o take_v from_o they_o by_o unrighteous_a judge_n and_o that_o under_o colour_n of_o law_n well_o let_v man_n have_v patience_n and_o know_v this_o that_o there_o will_v come_v a_o day_n wherein_o there_o shall_v be_v justice_n and_o true_a judgement_n do_v unto_o they_o here_o thy_o cause_n shall_v be_v hear_v it_o shall_v be_v right_v for_o christ_n jesus_n will_v be_v a_o righteous_a judge_n for_o the_o poor_a the_o fatherless_a and_o the_o widow_n again_o we_o see_v how_o the_o member_n of_o christ_n which_o make_v conscience_n of_o sin_n and_o care_n of_o their_o life_n to_o hear_v the_o word_n and_o to_o walk_v according_o they_o be_v disgrace_v and_o despise_v of_o the_o world_n well_o let_v we_o learn_v here_o to_o possess_v our_o soul_n with_o patience_n for_o there_o will_v come_v a_o day_n of_o reckon_n when_o as_o our_o righteous_a cause_n will_v be_v hear_v and_o we_o shall_v have_v justice_n and_o all_o the_o contemner_n of_o christ_n jesus_n and_o persecutor_n of_o his_o poor_a member_n shall_v feel_v the_o smart_n of_o it_o use_v 2_o second_o see_v christ_n jesus_n the_o judge_n come_v thus_o with_o might_n and_o majesty_n not_o as_o a_o saviour_n or_o mediator_n but_o as_o a_o judge_n it_o must_v admonish_v all_o man_n and_o woman_n now_o to_o repent_v and_o turn_v unto_o god_n in_o the_o time_n of_o mercy_n 55.6_o esay_n 55.6_o to_o seek_v the_o lord_n while_o he_o may_v be_v find_v and_o to_o call_v upon_o he_o while_o he_o be_v near_o now_o while_o we_o live_v jesus_n christ_n come_v unto_o we_o by_o his_o minister_n as_o a_o saviour_n to_o save_v our_o soul_n in_o mercy_n to_o bring_v we_o to_o repentance_n but_o after_o this_o life_n he_o will_v no_o more_o come_v as_o a_o saviour_n or_o a_o his_o member_n and_o take_v away_o the_o strength_n of_o sin_n sure_o this_o king_n of_o king_n who_o break_v the_o brass_n bar_v of_o death_n and_o pull_v out_o the_o sting_n of_o death_n our_o sin_n after_o this_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n sure_o it_o be_v none_o other_o in_o heaven_n or_o earth_n but_o this_o our_o gracious_a king_n who_o be_v the_o only_a immortal_a and_o wise_a god_n have_v the_o key_n of_o heaven_n and_o of_o the_o bottomless_a pit_n he_o alone_o can_v kill_v and_o make_v alive_a he_o alone_o can_v lift_v up_o to_o heaven_n and_o send_v to_o hell_n he_o alone_o and_o then_o will_v he_o acknowledge_v we_o for_o his_o servant_n but_o if_o we_o deny_v to_o he_o this_o service_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o give_v it_o to_o any_o other_o he_o will_v then_o cast_v we_o off_o for_o evermore_o describe_v severity_n of_o the_o judge_n describe_v thus_o much_o of_o the_o majesty_n of_o the_o judge_n and_o of_o his_o sincerity_n and_o uprightness_n in_o judgement_n now_o in_o the_o description_n of_o the_o judge_n it_o be_v further_o add_v that_o from_o the_o face_n of_o this_o judge_n both_o the_o heaven_n and_o the_o earth_n flee_v away_o and_o this_o do_v show_v the_o wonderful_a severity_n of_o this_o great_a judge_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n we_o know_v that_o man_n fly_v those_o thing_n that_o they_o fear_v and_o dread_n so_o here_o the_o heaven_n and_o earth_n do_v fear_v the_o glorious_a presence_n of_o jesus_n christ_n the_o great_a judge_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n and_o seek_v to_o hide_v themselves_o that_o they_o may_v not_o appear_v before_o he_o this_o fly_v of_o the_o earth_n and_o the_o heaven_n and_o hide_v themselves_o that_o they_o dare_v not_o appear_v in_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n this_o show_v the_o wonderful_a majesty_n and_o the_o great_a severity_n and_o terror_n of_o christ_n jesus_n the_o judge_n from_o whence_o we_o observe_v a_o threefold_a instruction_n the_o heaven_n and_o the_o earth_n use_v 1_o be_v void_a of_o sense_n they_o be_v great_a and_o mighty_a creature_n again_o they_o be_v very_o goodly_a and_o beautiful_a creature_n beside_o all_o this_o they_o never_o commit_v any_o sin_n how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v then_o that_o they_o shall_v fly_v &_o hide_v themselves_o from_o the_o glorious_a presence_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n ans_fw-fr they_o never_o sin_v indeed_o but_o yet_o the_o sin_n of_o man_n be_v of_o that_o force_n that_o it_o have_v infect_v both_o the_o earth_n we_o tread_v on_o and_o the_o heaven_n over_o our_o head_n many_o thousand_o mile_n above_o us._n oh_o then_o see_v how_o monstrous_a a_o thing_n sin_n be_v in_o the_o sight_n of_o almighty_a god_n what_o a_o vile_a thing_n that_o the_o contagion_n and_o infection_n thereof_o shall_v hurt_v &_o infect_v the_o whole_a heaven_n and_o make_v they_o that_o they_o dare_v not_o abide_v the_o glorious_a presence_n of_o god_n their_o creator_n o_o shall_v we_o not_o abhor_v sin_n as_o the_o vile_a thing_n in_o the_o world_n we_o be_v afraid_a of_o the_o plague_n because_o it_o infect_v and_o kill_v man_n body_n but_o the_o plague_n of_o sin_n be_v a_o thousand_o time_n and_o more_o to_o be_v abhor_v and_o flee_v from_o see_v it_o poison_n and_o infect_v both_o body_n and_o soul_n &_o be_v so_o contagious_a that_o the_o creature_n be_v afraid_a to_o behold_v the_o face_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n see_v both_o heaven_n and_o use_v 2_o earth_n shall_v fly_v and_o perish_v from_o before_o the_o glorious_a presence_n of_o christ_n jesus_n nay_o they_o shall_v burn_v with_o fire_n as_o peter_n say_v 2._o pet._n 3.10.11_o all_o these_o goodly_a house_n all_o thy_o gold_n and_o silver_n and_o costly_a apparel_n shall_v be_v burn_v with_o fire_n this_o may_v teach_v we_o moderation_n and_o sobriety_n in_o the_o use_n of_o god_n creature_n what_o folly_n be_v it_o to_o spend_v all_o that_o a_o man_n have_v to_o build_v a_o stately_a house_n and_o yet_o in_o the_o end_n it_o must_v be_v consume_v with_o fire_n and_o become_v nothing_o else_o but_o fuel_o for_o the_o fire_n that_o see_v the_o heaven_n and_o use_v 3_o the_o earth_n these_o great_a and_o mighty_a creature_n these_o beautiful_a and_o excellent_a work_n of_o almighty_a god_n power_n which_o have_v no_o sense_n nor_o feeling_n nor_o never_o sin_v if_o these_o shall_v fly_v before_o the_o son_n of_o god_n as_o be_v not_o able_a to_o endure_v his_o presence_n alas_o what_o shall_v wicked_a and_o hard-hearted_a sinner_n do_v what_o shall_v become_v of_o the_o vile_a wretch_n of_o the_o world_n which_o live_v and_o delight_n in_o sin_n where_o shall_v the_o ungodlie_a and_o sinner_n appear_v what_o will_v become_v of_o all_o ignorant_a soul_n what_o will_v become_v of_o the_o blasphemer_n and_o adulterer_n if_o the_o heaven_n and_o the_o earth_n these_o great_a and_o glorious_a creature_n which_o sin_v not_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o stand_v in_o his_o presence_n then_o what_o i_o say_v will_v become_v of_o all_o profane_a and_o ungodly_a sinner_n alas_o they_o shall_v be_v even_o at_o their_o wit_n end_n not_o know_v in_o the_o world_n which_o way_n to_o turn_v they_o nor_o where_o to_o fly_v for_o succour_n where_o shall_v they_o seek_v for_o refuge_n when_o as_o the_o judge_n himself_o be_v their_o enemy_n who_o dare_v plead_v for_o they_o darenot_v any_o saint_n or_o angel_n no_o no_o no_o saint_n or_o angel_n dare_v open_v their_o mouth_n to_o speak_v one_o word_n in_o their_o behalf_n neither_o can_v any_o creature_n deliver_v they_o from_o the_o dreadful_a vengeance_n of_o this_o terrible_a judge_n verse_n 12._o and_o i_o see_v the_o dead_a both_o great_a and_o small_a thus_o have_v you_o see_v the_o person_n of_o the_o judge_n describe_v by_o his_o wonderful_a majesty_n and_o power_n describe_v the_o person_n that_o shall_v appear_v before_o this_o judge_n describe_v wherewith_o he_o will_v come_v to_o judgement_n and_o also_o by_o the_o great_a severity_n and_o terror_n that_o shall_v astonish_v both_o the_o heaven_n and_o the_o earth_n and_o make_v they_o to_o fly_v from_o before_o his_o presence_n now_o in_o this_o verse_n and_o that_o which_o follow_v be_v declare_v who_o be_v they_o that_o shall_v appear_v before_o this_o great_a judge_n namely_o i_o see_v the_o dead_a both_o great_a and_o small_a etc._n etc._n second_o the_o evidence_n that_o shall_v be_v bring_v in_o and_o what_o witness_n shall_v be_v produce_v either_o to_o excuse_v or_o accuse_v in_o these_o word_n and_o the_o book_n be_v open_v object_n and_o i_o see_v the_o dead_a both_o great_a and_o small_a etc._n etc._n before_o we_o come_v to_o speak_v of_o the_o word_n here_o may_v a_o question_n arise_v namely_o how_o this_o can_v be_v true_a that_o saint_n john_n say_v he_o see_v the_o dead_a both_o great_a and_o small_a for_o we_o believe_v that_o christ_n jesus_n shall_v judge_v both_o quick_a and_o dead_a not_o only_o the_o dead_a but_o the_o live_n and_o paul_n
say_v 15._o 1._o cor._n 15._o we_o shall_v not_o all_o die_v but_o we_o shall_v be_v change_v they_o that_o be_v live_v at_o his_o come_n then_o how_o do_v this_o place_n agree_v with_o they_o see_v s._n john_n say_v here_o he_o see_v the_o dead_a here_o be_v none_o speak_v of_o but_o the_o dead_a no_o mention_n of_o the_o live_n i_o answer_v saint_n john_n say_v answ_n that_o he_o see_v the_o dead_a not_o that_o he_o see_v not_o the_o live_n too_o for_o he_o see_v no_o doubt_n both_o quick_a and_o dead_a stand_v before_o god_n but_o he_o speak_v here_o only_o of_o those_o of_o who_o there_o may_v be_v some_o doubt_n for_o if_o the_o dead_a and_o they_o which_o have_v be_v rot_v so_o many_o thousand_o year_n shall_v appear_v and_o stand_v before_o god_n how_o can_v we_o think_v that_o any_o of_o the_o live_a shall_v be_v want_v if_o that_o they_o which_o have_v be_v dead_a for_o six_o thousand_o year_n and_o be_v turn_v to_o ash_n shall_v be_v bring_v to_o judgement_n then_o not_o doubt_n they_o which_o be_v find_v live_v when_o christ_n shall_v come_v to_o judgement_n so_o then_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o though_o saint_n john_n speak_v here_o only_o of_o the_o dead_a because_o there_o may_v be_v most_o doubt_n of_o they_o yet_o he_o say_v in_o a_o vision_n all_o man_n both_o quick_a and_o dead_a stand_v before_o almighty_a god_n at_o the_o bar_n of_o jesus_n christ_n again_o doct._n comfort_n to_o the_o godly_a that_o they_o shall_v rise_v again_o i_o see_v the_o dead_a hence_o may_v we_o raise_v a_o double_a doctrine_n first_o a_o notable_a comfort_n for_o the_o soul_n of_o god_n child_n namely_o that_o the_o dead_a body_n of_o god_n child_n do_v not_o perish_v they_o be_v not_o cast_v away_o and_o lose_v when_o they_o die_v but_o they_o shall_v rise_v again_o they_o shall_v be_v purify_v and_o make_v a_o glorious_a body_n and_o they_o shall_v stand_v in_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o shall_v see_v his_o glory_n and_o therefore_o let_v we_o not_o think_v that_o when_o death_n come_v and_o separate_v the_o soul_n from_o the_o body_n that_o then_o the_o body_n do_v perish_v and_o be_v cast_v away_o no_o no_o it_o shall_v rise_v again_o it_o be_v but_o lay_v in_o the_o grave_n as_o in_o a_o sure_a chest_n and_o there_o it_o be_v at_o ease_n and_o lie_v asleep_a as_o in_o a_o bed_n of_o dowlne_a but_o when_o christ_n jesus_n shall_v come_v to_o judgement_n it_o shall_v rise_v again_o for_o we_o must_v know_v that_o every_o true_a believer_n be_v make_v a_o member_n of_o christ_n and_o not_o only_o our_o soul_n be_v unite_v to_o christ_n but_o even_o our_o dead_a body_n when_o they_o be_v lay_v in_o the_o grave_n they_o still_o remain_v the_o dear_a member_n of_o his_o mystical_a body_n and_o therefore_o shall_v not_o perish_v but_o rise_v again_o to_o glory_n and_o for_o our_o further_a confirmation_n in_o this_o point_n of_o resurrection_n prove_v resurrection_n prove_v let_v we_o see_v how_o it_o be_v confirm_v to_o we_o by_o the_o testimony_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n as_o that_o of_o daniel_n 12.13_o dan._n 12.13_o they_o that_o sleep_v in_o the_o dust_n shall_v awake_a some_o to_o everlasting_a life_n and_o some_o to_o everlasting_a shame_n and_o the_o lord_n god_n by_o the_o prophet_n hoseas_n do_v make_v unto_o his_o church_n this_o gracious_a promise_n hosea_n 13.14_o they_o through_o christ_n his_o death_n yet_o the_o wicked_a shall_v have_v no_o benefit_n by_o it_o and_o therefore_o unto_o they_o it_o can_v proper_o be_v call_v a_o resurrection_n no_o more_o that_o our_o account_n must_v begin_v before_o god_n himself_o we_o must_v stand_v naked_a in_o his_o sight_n and_o who_o then_o can_v think_v to_o hide_v his_o sin_n from_o he_o he_o know_v the_o god_n to_o appear_v at_o the_o bar_n of_o the_o everliving_a and_o most_o mighty_a jehova_n who_o can_v cast_v both_o body_n and_o soul_n into_o hell_n fire_n o_o what_o secure_a and_o careless_a wretch_n be_v we_o that_o be_v nothing_o move_v with_o these_o thing_n to_o repent_v and_o to_o turn_v to_o god_n to_o leave_v our_o foul_a and_o filthy_a sin_n and_o if_o a_o poor_a prisoner_n be_v two_o the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n and_o the_o book_n of_o conscience_n the_o one_o show_v a_o man_n what_o he_o shall_v do_v the_o other_o what_o he_o have_v do_v against_o the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n none_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o except_v for_o the_o commandment_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v pure_a and_o righteous_a altogether_o 19.9_o psal_n 19.9_o and_o as_o for_o the_o book_n of_o day_n their_o heart_n burn_v in_o lust_n and_o in_o uncleanness_n now_o they_o pass_v away_o to_o they_o they_o regard_v they_o not_o they_o make_v little_a or_o no_o account_n of_o they_o but_o alas_o they_o be_v all_o write_v in_o this_o book_n of_o thy_o conscience_n thy_o conscience_n mark_n they_o thy_o conscience_n write_v they_o down_o and_o if_o thou_o repent_v not_o of_o they_o and_o a_o especial_a grace_n of_o god_n to_o justify_v a_o poor_a sinner_n that_o must_v be_v save_v and_o whosoever_o be_v not_o justify_v can_v be_v save_v justification_n have_v two_o part_n first_o body_n of_o fish_n and_o of_o beast_n i_o answer_v that_o though_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o man_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o impossible_a to_o god_n for_o he_o that_o create_v all_o our_o body_n of_o nothing_o can_v make_v they_o again_o of_o something_o namely_o of_o their_o own_o matter_n and_o to_o sever_v their_o body_n from_o all_o other_o matter_n as_o we_o see_v that_o a_o goldsmith_n can_v sever_v one_o matter_n from_o another_o so_o then_o this_o place_n do_v prove_v and_o confirm_v that_o article_n of_o our_o faith_n that_o we_o believe_v the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o dead_a for_o alas_o they_o do_v by_o this_o mean_n even_o hasten_v their_o own_o destruction_n and_o do_v as_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v to_o avoid_v a_o little_a smoke_n cast_v himself_o headlong_o into_o a_o flame_a fire_n so_o they_o to_o avoid_v this_o little_a grief_n of_o their_o body_n plunge_v body_n and_o soul_n into_o eternal_a torment_n for_o what_o ease_n be_v it_o for_o a_o man_n to_o kill_v himself_o or_o cast_v away_o himself_o see_v they_o must_v come_v to_o judgement_n though_o they_o kill_v themselves_o or_o drown_v themselves_o why_o the_o water_n and_o the_o grave_n must_v one_o bring_v it_o forth_o it_o bring_v we_o to_o death_n and_o hell_n for_o death_n and_o hell_n be_v the_o reward_n of_o sin_n and_o death_n and_o hell_n be_v cast_v into_o the_o lake_n of_o fire_n will_v you_o know_v what_o shall_v become_v of_o the_o profane_a wretch_n of_o the_o world_n will_v you_o know_v what_o shall_v become_v of_o the_o blasphemer_n will_v you_o know_v what_o shall_v become_v of_o the_o adulterer_n drunkard_n idolater_n swearer_n etc._n etc._n s._n john_n say_v here_o in_o plain_a term_n they_o shall_v be_v cast_v into_o the_o lake_n of_o fire_n thus_o be_v the_o rich_a glutton_n luke_n 16._o for_o his_o gluttony_n drunkenness_n want_v of_o pity_n etc._n etc._n cast_v into_o this_o woeful_a lake_n of_o fire_n and_o thus_o shall_v all_o impenitent_a sinner_n one_o day_n be_v cast_v into_o this_o woeful_a lake_n of_o fire_n now_o if_o a_o blasphemer_n or_o a_o adulterer_n etc._n etc._n shall_v have_v but_o this_o punishment_n to_o hold_v his_o little_a finger_n in_o the_o flame_n of_o a_o candle_n one_o hour_n how_o can_v he_o endure_v it_o but_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v be_v roast_v on_o a_o gridiron_n or_o boil_a in_o a_o cauldron_n of_o melt_a lead_n what_o this_o lake_n of_o fire_n when_o both_o body_n and_o soul_n shall_v both_o burn_v and_o boil_v and_o as_o it_o be_v fry_v in_o the_o scorch_a flame_n which_o can_v be_v quench_v all_o man_n almost_o be_v afraid_a to_o commit_v treason_n because_o traitor_n be_v so_o grievous_o punish_v they_o be_v hang_v draw_v and_o quarter_v but_o alas_o man_n be_v not_o afraid_a to_o commit_v treason_n against_o the_o king_n of_o heaven_n though_o they_o must_v be_v cast_v into_o a_o lake_n of_o fire_n for_o evermore_o man_n be_v afraid_a to_o offend_v the_o prince_n for_o fear_n of_o death_n and_o yet_o our_o saviour_n bid_v we_o not_o fear_v they_o that_o can_v kill_v the_o body_n and_o can_v do_v no_o more_o but_o fear_v he_o that_o can_v cast_v both_o body_n and_o soul_n into_o hell_n fire_n and_o yet_o we_o see_v that_o man_n and_o woman_n be_v more_o afraid_a to_o offend_v man_n than_o god_n that_o can_v cast_v both_o body_n and_o soul_n into_o hell_n fire_n if_o we_o shall_v see_v a_o little_a child_n fall_v into_o the_o fire_n and_o hear_v it_o cry_v pitiful_o and_o the_o very_a bowel_n shall_v be_v burn_v out_o o_o how_o it_o will_v grieve_v we_o and_o make_v our_o very_a heart_n wife_n and_o child_n and_o all_o that_o thou_o have_v be_v consume_v with_o fire_n oh_o how_o will_v this_o astonish_v we_o that_o will_v make_v the_o very_a hair_n to_o stand_v upright_o on_o our_o there_o be_v no_o condemnation_n to_o they_o that_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_n consist_v wherein_o the_o second_o death_n consist_v now_o as_o the_o first_o death_n be_v only_o the_o separation_n of_o the_o soul_n from_o the_o body_n so_o the_o second_o death_n be_v a_o total_a and_o final_a separation_n of_o both_o soul_n and_o body_n from_o god_n for_o evermore_o and_o this_o second_o death_n do_v stand_v principal_o in_o these_o three_o point_n first_o that_o all_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a sinner_n that_o live_v and_o die_v in_o their_o sin_n they_o shall_v be_v sever_v from_o the_o glorious_a and_o bless_a presence_n of_o god_n for_o ever_o which_o shall_v be_v punish_v with_o everlasting_a perdition_n from_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o from_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o power_n 2._o thes_n 1.9_o o_o what_o a_o woeful_a death_n be_v this_o to_o be_v pluck_v and_o tear_v from_o the_o bless_a and_o comfortable_a presence_n of_o god_n whereas_o our_o saviour_n
