call_v that_o be_v a_o lord_n indeed_o so_o that_o in_o forbid_v his_o disciple_n to_o kurievein_o bear_v rule_n as_o the_o lord_n of_o the_o nation_n do_v he_o forbid_v they_o also_o to_o be_v call_v and_o term_v by_o their_o title_n i_o know_v what_o have_v be_v object_v by_o the_o archb._n unto_o these_o thing_n and_o will_v again_o be_v say_v if_o it_o be_v not_o prevent_v namely_o that_o our_o behoof_n to_o teach_v point_n of_o doctrine_n mere_a direct_o against_o the_o word_n &_o mind_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n i_o demand_v then_o of_o he_o whether_o our_o saviour_n christ_n do_v not_o whether_o any_o of_o they_o shall_v rule_v like_o a_o tyrant_n be_v it_o whether_o any_o of_o they_o shall_v gape_v after_o promotion_n no_o such_o thing_n for_o they_o know_v well_o enough_o that_o it_o be_v very_o gainlesse_a for_o they_o to_o demand_v of_o our_o saviour_n which_o of_o they_o shall_v be_v a_o tyrant_n which_o of_o they_o shall_v abuse_v his_o lawful_a superiority_n or_o which_o of_o they_o shall_v be_v a_o ambitious_a prelate_n they_o know_v well_o enough_o that_o he_o will_v allow_v no_o such_o dominion_n and_o pre-eminence_n beside_o the_o apostle_n we_o may_v well_o think_v be_v not_o so_o blind_a as_o to_o demand_v any_o such_o question_n of_o their_o master_n now_o than_o they_o demand_v no_o such_o thing_n at_o his_o hand_n to_o what_o end_n shall_v he_o tell_v they_o that_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v tyrannous_a ruler_n they_o make_v no_o question_n of_o any_o such_o matter_n &_o therefore_o a_o resolution_n of_o that_o which_o they_o call_v not_o into_o controversye_n be_v nothing_o to_o the_o purpose_n but_o leave_v they_o as_o doubtful_a as_o they_o be_v before_o wherefore_o we_o be_v to_o conclude_v that_o as_o the_o question_n be_v concern_v lawful_a pre-eminence_n &_o bear_v of_o rule_n his_o negative_a answer_n be_v frain_v unto_o their_o question_n deni_v unto_o they_o not_o only_o a_o tyrannous_a and_o a_o ambitious_a prelacy_n whereof_o they_o make_v no_o question_n but_o even_o that_o dominion_n &_o pre-eminence_n which_o of_o itself_o be_v lawful_a in_o they_o who_o by_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n be_v capable_a of_o it_o to_o wit_n in_o the_o civil_a magistrate_n and_o whereas_o the_o apostle_n dream_v of_o a_o worldly_a kingdom_n may_v allege_v for_o themselves_o that_o their_o demand_n be_v not_o altogether_o without_o ground_n because_o they_o contend_v for_o no_o other_o superiority_n than_o be_v allow_v off_o in_o the_o ruler_n of_o worldly_a kingdom_n our_o master_n christ_n answer_v that_o objection_n and_o tell_v they_o that_o although_o it_o be_v lawful_a for_o civil_a governor_n to_o bear_v rule_n over_o their_o fellow_n officer_n and_o colleague_n that_o be_v over_o civil_a magistrate_n and_o although_o it_o be_v lawful_a for_o they_o to_o bear_v lordly_a rule_n and_o authority_n and_o to_o have_v high_a style_n and_o title_n yet_o among_o you_o that_o be_v minister_n not_o to_o bear_v rule_n therein_o of_o all_o these_o thing_n than_o we_o do_v conclude_v that_o this_o threefold_a corruption_n of_o our_o archb._n and_o bb._n first_o in_o usurp_v upon_o the_o government_n of_o the_o civil_a magistrate_n secondlie_o in_o claim_v unto_o themselves_o those_o high_a name_n and_o title_n which_o belong_v unto_o worldly_a honour_n and_o promotion_n last_o in_o the_o lordly_a pre-eminence_n and_o superiority_n which_o they_o usurp_v over_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o the_o church_n within_o their_o diocese_n in_o general_a and_o over_o their_o fellow_n minister_n in_o particular_a be_v altogether_o a_o matter_n to_o be_v detest_v of_o all_o true_a christian_n as_o abominable_a and_o odious_a in_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o see_v our_o head_n christ_n jesus_n grant_v unto_o his_o body_n this_o libertle_n that_o all_o the_o member_n thereof_o shall_v be_v servant_n and_o not_o lord_n therein_o as_o he_o himself_o do_v serve_v &_o not_o bear_v rule_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o have_v give_v all_o true_a minister_n this_o privilege_n that_o none_o of_o they_o shall_v rule_v over_o the_o other_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v that_o this_o lordlyke_a government_n which_o our_o bishop_n arrogate_v unto_o themselves_o over_o the_o church_n of_o god_n and_o the_o minister_n of_o it_o can_v in_o itself_o though_o it_o be_v never_o abuse_v but_o be_v prejudicial_a unto_o the_o liberty_n of_o the_o church_n and_o the_o minister_n thereof_o therefore_o my_o ll._n maintain_v the_o hierarchy_n of_o bb._n as_o long_o as_o you_o will_v you_o uphold_v thereby_o nothing_o else_o but_o the_o tyranny_n and_o bondage_n of_o the_o church_n together_o with_o a_o chief_a and_o a_o especial_a portion_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o antichrist_n for_o as_o this_o pestilent_a hierarchy_n have_v be_v prove_v not_o to_o appertain_v unto_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n so_o your_o hh._n be_v to_o know_v that_o the_o same_o belong_v unto_o no_o other_o body_n then_o unto_o that_o regiment_n whereof_o the_o son_n of_o perdition_n be_v the_o head_n for_o unto_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n as_o you_o see_v it_o do_v not_o belong_v to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o world_n that_o be_v unto_o the_o civil_a magistracy_n it_o can_v appertain_v for_o it_o will_v be_v account_v a_o ecclesiastical_a constitution_n and_o not_o any_o civil_a regiment_n to_o mahometisme_n or_o to_o any_o other_o heathenish_a idolatry_n it_o can_v belong_v because_o it_o be_v only_o retain_v among_o those_o that_o pretend_v the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o be_v either_o the_o true_a church_n in_o deed_n or_o at_o the_o jest_n do_v wrongful_o retain_v the_o name_n of_o the_o true_a church_n now_o unto_o the_o true_a church_n it_o do_v not_o belong_v as_o we_o have_v already_o prove_v because_o it_o be_v a_o government_n consist_v of_o those_o office_n which_o the_o head_n never_o ordain_v to_o be_v in_o the_o body_n and_o consist_v of_o such_o member_n as_o will_v bear_v rule_n and_o not_o serve_v in_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n we_o must_v then_o place_v they_o in_o deed_n where_o of_o right_n they_o ought_v to_o be_v that_o be_v in_o the_o false_a synagogue_n which_o unjust_o arrogate_v unto_o itself_o the_o name_n of_o the_o true_a church_n of_o god_n and_o that_o be_v in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o antichriste_n the_o pope_n who_o kingdom_n must_v begin_v in_o the_o church_n of_o god_n and_o not_o among_o the_o heathen_a as_o it_o be_v express_o fore_o tell_v by_o the_o apostle_n paul_n 2.5_o 2._o thes_n 2.5_o satan_n therefore_o be_v to_o lay_v the_o foundation_n of_o this_o antichristian_a kingdom_n within_o the_o church_n and_o temple_n of_o god_n that_o he_o may_v with_o more_o for_o his_o opportunity_n ere_o he_o can_v bring_v the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n unto_o lordship_n &_o dominion_n 320._o about_o the_o year_n 320._o for_o unto_o the_o time_n of_o pope_n silvester_n rome_n itself_o be_v without_o any_o lordship_n at_o all_o yet_o notwithstanding_o he_o be_v drive_v to_o work_v that_o in_o the_o church_n before_o ever_o he_o can_v advance_v the_o man_n of_o sin_n unto_o the_o chair_n of_o iniquity_n so_o that_o by_o mean_n of_o this_o superioritye_n and_o worldly_a dominion_n of_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o word_n he_o begin_v at_o the_o first_o
