meaning_n of_o the_o say_a ordinance_n it_o be_v further_a ordain_v by_o the_o say_a lord_n and_o commons_o that_o all_o window_n of_o shop_n warehouse_n and_o other_o place_n where_o ware_n or_o commodity_n be_v usual_o sell_v shall_v be_v keep_v shut_v on_o the_o say_a day_n of_o recreation_n from_o eight_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o morning_n until_o eight_o of_o the_o clock_n at_o evening_n on_o the_o say_a day_n and_o that_o no_o master_n shall_v wilful_o detain_v or_o withhold_v his_o apprentice_n or_o other_o servant_n within_o door_n or_o from_o his_o recreation_n in_o his_o usual_a duty_n or_o service_n on_o the_o say_a day_n of_o recreation_n unless_o market_n day_n fair_a day_n or_o other_o extraordinary_a occasion_n yet_o so_o as_o such_o master_n shall_v allow_v unto_o such_o apprentice_n or_o other_o servant_n one_o other_o day_n instead_o of_o such_o day_n employ_v in_o the_o service_n of_o his_o master_n upon_o such_o occasion_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o be_v it_o likewise_o provide_v and_o ordain_v that_o if_o such_o apprentice_n or_o other_o servant_n shall_v riotous_o spend_v or_o abuse_v such_o day_n of_o recreation_n either_o to_o his_o own_o hurt_n or_o the_o damage_n of_o his_o master_n and_o be_v thereof_o lawful_o convict_v and_o find_v guilty_a before_o any_o one_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n it_o shall_v and_o may_v be_v lawful_a for_o such_o master_n at_o his_o pleasure_n to_o detain_v and_o withhold_v such_o apprentice_n or_o other_o servant_n from_o their_o recreation_n on_o such_o allow_a day_n and_o be_v it_o also_o provide_v and_o ordain_v that_o if_o such_o apprentice_n or_o other_o servant_n shall_v cause_v any_o riotous_a or_o tumultuous_a assembly_n to_o the_o disturbance_n of_o the_o peace_n on_o such_o day_n of_o recreation_n such_o apprentice_n or_o other_o servant_n be_v thereof_o lawful_o convict_v and_o find_v guilty_a upon_o the_o testimony_n of_o two_o witness_n upon_o oath_n before_o one_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n in_o any_o county_n city_n or_o town_n corporate_a where_o such_o offence_n shall_v be_v commit_v or_o before_o the_o chamberlain_n of_o the_o city_n of_o london_n for_o the_o time_n be_v within_o the_o say_a city_n who_o shall_v have_v power_n to_o administer_v such_o oath_n such_o justice_n of_o peace_n and_o the_o say_a chamberlain_n of_o the_o city_n of_o london_n respective_o shall_v and_o may_v at_o their_o discretion_n inflict_v on_o such_o apprentice_n or_o other_o servant_n so_o convict_v as_o aforesaid_a any_o corporal_a punishment_n by_o imprisonment_n or_o otherwise_o so_o as_o the_o same_o imprisonment_n exceed_v not_o the_o space_n of_o three_o day_n and_o it_o be_v last_o ordain_v that_o all_o mayor_n sheriff_n bailiff_n constable_n headborough_n and_o all_o other_o officer_n and_o minister_n be_v hereby_o authorize_v to_o make_v or_o cause_n to_o be_v make_v diligent_a search_n for_o such_o apprentice_n or_o other_o servant_n in_o tavern_n alehouse_n or_o gaming-house_n and_o such_o apprentice_n or_o other_o servant_n as_o shall_v be_v find_v in_o any_o such_o place_n after_o eight_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o evening_n or_o be_v drink_v or_o otherwise_o disorderly_a or_o shall_v there_o remain_v after_o eight_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o evening_n on_o such_o day_n of_o recreato●n_n shall_v bring_v or_o
