and_o there_o hold_v it_o be_v enact_v that_o a_o certain_a grant_n by_o letter_n patent_n of_o incorporation_n make_v and_o grant_v by_o the_o aforesaid_a late_a king_n to_o the_o physician_n of_o london_n and_o all_o clause_n and_o article_n contain_v in_o the_o say_a grant_n shall_v be_v approve_v grant_v ratify_v and_o confirm_v by_o the_o say_a parliament_n in_o consideration_n whereof_o it_o be_v enact_v by_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o same_o parliament_n that_o the_o aforesaid_a statute_n and_o act_n of_o parliament_n in_o all_o the_o article_n and_o clause_n in_o the_o same_o contain_v from_o thenceforth_o for_o ever_o shall_v stand_v and_o continue_v in_o full_a strength_n force_n and_o effect_n any_o statute_n law_n custom_n or_o any_o thing_n make_v have_v or_o use_v to_o the_o contrary_a in_o any_o thing_n notwithstanding_o and_o for_o the_o better_a reformation_n of_o divers_a enormity_n happen_v to_o the_o commonwealth_n by_o the_o evil_a usage_n and_o undue_a administration_n of_o physic_n and_o for_o the_o amplify_a and_o enlarge_n of_o the_o last_o article_n for_o the_o better_a execution_n of_o the_o thing_n in_o the_o aforesaid_a grant_n contain_v it_o be_v further_o enact_v that_o whensoever_o the_o precedent_n of_o the_o college_n or_o commonalty_n of_o the_o faculty_n of_o physic_n in_o london_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o such_o as_o the_o aforesaid_a precedent_n and_o college_n yearly_a according_a to_o the_o tenor_n and_o meaning_n of_o the_o same_o act_n shall_v authorise_v to_o search_v examine_v and_o correct_v and_o punish_v all_o offender_n and_o transgressor_n in_o the_o aforesaid_a faculty_n within_o the_o same_o city_n and_o precinct_n in_o the_o aforesaid_a act_n express_v shall_v send_v or_o commit_v such_o offender_n or_o offender_n for_o his_o or_o their_o offence_n or_o disobedience_n contrary_a to_o any_o article_n or_o clause_n contain_v in_o the_o aforesaid_a grant_n or_o act_n to_o any_o ward_n gaol_n or_o prison_n within_o the_o aforesaid_a city_n and_o precinct_n aforesaid_a the_o tower_n of_o london_n except_v that_o then_o and_o from_o time_n to_o time_n the_o warder_n gaoler_n and_o keeper_n of_o the_o ward_n gaol_n and_o prison_n within_o the_o city_n or_o precinct_n aforesaid_a the_o tower_n of_o london_n except_v shall_v receive_v into_o he_o or_o their_o prison_n all_o and_o every_o such_o person_n or_o person_n so_o offend_v which_o shall_v be_v send_v or_o commit_v to_o he_o or_o they_o as_o aforesaid_a and_o there_o safe_o shall_v keep_v the_o person_n or_o person_n so_o commit_v into_o any_o of_o their_o prison_n at_o the_o proper_a cost_n and_o charge_n of_o the_o person_n or_o person_n so_o commit_v without_o bail_n or_o main_a prize_n until_o such_o offender_n &_o offender_n or_o disobedient_n be_v discharge_v of_o the_o aforesaid_a imprisonment_n by_o the_o aforesaid_a precedent_n and_o such_o person_n as_o by_o the_o aforesaid_a college_n shall_v be_v authorize_v upon_o pain_n that_o every_o such_o warder_n jailer_n or_o keeper_n doint_v the_o contrary_a shall_v lose_v and_o forfeit_v double_a of_o such_o fine_a and_o amercement_n as_o such_o offender_n or_o offender_n or_o disobedient_n shall_v be_v assess_v to_o pay_v by_o such_o as_o the_o say_a precedent_n and_o college_n as_o shall_v be_v authorize_v as_o before_o be_v say_v so_o as_o bill_n plaint_n or_o information_n in_o any_o of_o the_o say_v late_a queen_n her_o heir_n or_o successor_n court_n of_o record_n against_o any_o such_o warden_n jailer_n or_o keeper_n so_o offend_v in_o which_o no_o essoin_fw-fr wager_n of_o law_n nor_o protection_n shall_v be_v allow_v nor_o be_v admit_v for_o the_o defendant_n and_o further_o it_o be_v enact_v by_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o say_a parliament_n that_o all_o justice_n mayor_n sheriff_n bailiff_n constable_n and_o other_o minister_n and_o officer_n within_o the_o city_n and_o precinct_n aforesaid_a upon_o request_n to_o they_o make_v shall_v help_v aid_n and_o assist_v the_o precedent_n of_o the_o aforesaid_a college_n and_o all_o person_n by_o they_o from_o time_n to_o time_n authorize_v for_o the_o due_a that_o by_o virtue_n of_o the_o say_a letter_n patent_n and_o by_o force_n of_o the_o statute_n aforesaid_a one_o thomas_n langhton_n doctor_n of_o physic_n a_o man_n diligent_a and_o skilful_a in_o the_o faculty_n of_o physic_n and_o then_o one_o of_o the_o commonalty_n of_o the_o college_n of_o physician_n in_o london_n aforesaid_a before_o the_o time_n in_o which_o etc._n etc._n that_o be_v to_o say_v the_o 30_o the_o day_n of_o september_n in_o the_o year_n 1605._o at_o the_o college_n of_o physician_n situate_v in_o london_n in_o the_o parish_n of_o saint_n bennet-pauls-wharf_n in_o
