against_o all_o law_n and_o reason_n to_o suppose_v that_o the_o panel_n either_o do_v or_o design_v to_o do_v any_o thing_n which_o may_v or_o do_v import_v the_o crime_n libel_v against_o he_o and_o whereas_o it_o be_v pretend_v that_o the_o oath_n require_v and_o impose_v by_o act_n of_o parliament_n be_v for_o the_o security_n of_o the_o government_n and_o that_o the_o panel_n by_o his_o explanation_n do_v evade_v the_o oath_n by_o take_v it_o only_o so_o far_o as_o it_o be_v consistent_a with_o the_o protestant_a religion_n and_o his_o own_o loyalty_n whereof_o he_o be_v judge_n it_o be_v answer_v that_o the_o pretence_n be_v most_o unwarrantable_a and_o the_o security_n of_o his_o majesty_n government_n be_v not_o at_o all_o endanger_v as_o god_n forbid_v it_o shall_v though_o the_o panel_n and_o a_o thousand_o more_o have_v simple_o refuse_v the_o test_n or_o have_v take_v it_o in_o a_o sense_n which_o do_v not_o satisfy_v the_o law_n it_o be_v competent_a to_o public_a not_o there_o can_v be_v no_o rational_a consequence_n infer_v thereupon_o but_o that_o he_o be_v hold_v as_o a_o refuser_n of_o the_o oath_n and_o liable_a to_o the_o certification_n of_o the_o act_n of_o parliament_n of_o not_o assume_v and_o continue_v in_o any_o public_a trust_n and_o no_o more_o be_v intend_v or_o design_v by_o the_o act_n of_o parliament_n itself_o than_o strict_o to_o make_v the_o oath_n in_o the_o true_a and_o genuine_a sense_n and_o meaning_n of_o the_o parliament_n a_o indispensible_a qualification_n of_o person_n admit_v to_o public_a trust_n so_o that_o it_o be_v not_o at_o all_o material_a to_o dispute_v whether_o the_o pannel_n explication_n can_v be_v look_v upon_o as_o a_o full_a satisfaction_n of_o the_o act_n which_o whether_o it_o shall_v or_o not_o it_o can_v import_v no_o crime_n against_o he_o it_o not_o be_v consistent_a with_o sense_n and_o reason_n that_o a_o person_n who_o absolute_o refuse_v the_o test_n upon_o the_o scrupulosity_n of_o and_o publish_v their_o proclamation_n explain_v the_o oath_n and_o declare_v the_o genuine_a sense_n and_o meaning_n thereof_o namely_o that_o it_o do_v not_o tie_v to_o the_o whole_a article_n of_o the_o confession_n of_o faith_n ratify_v by_o act_n of_o parliament_n james_n 6._o and_o which_o as_o to_o several_a article_n thereof_o have_v occasion_v the_o scruple_n and_o difficulty_n and_o parliament_n justice_n as_o to_o their_o meaning_n and_o intention_n that_o the_o parliament_n never_o intend_v to_o impose_v contradictory_n oath_n and_o that_o he_o do_v take_v it_o so_o far_o as_o it_o be_v consistent_a with_o itself_o and_o the_o protestant_a religion_n not_o know_v then_o whether_o the_o whole_a confession_n be_v to_o be_v repute_v a_o part_n of_o the_o oath_n and_o doubt_v certain_o of_o itself_o a_o most_o villainous_a and_o execrable_a libel_n contain_v the_o high_a crime_n of_o treason_n and_o perduellion_n and_o be_v not_o capable_a of_o any_o good_a sense_n or_o interpretation_n but_o be_v absolute_o pernicious_a and_o destructive_a so_o that_o it_o be_v in_o vain_a to_o pretend_v that_o the_o say_a libel_n do_v contain_v preface_n and_o protestation_n of_o loyalty_n which_o no_o law_n regard_v even_o in_o simplici_fw-la injuria_fw-la &_o maledicto_fw-la though_o commit_v by_o a_o private_a person_n cum_fw-la praefatione_fw-la salvo_fw-la honore_fw-la
