he_o after_o his_o lust_n all_o the_o while_n and_o where_o conscience_n be_v awaken_v and_o the_o will_v not_o change_v there_o the_o devil_n may_v steal_v these_o trouble_n away_o upon_o false_a ground_n he_o have_v many_o way_n to_o quiet_a such_o man_n conscience_n but_o if_o the_o will_v be_v move_v true_o towards_o god_n there_o be_v no_o way_n to_o quiet_a that_o but_o by_o the_o enjoiment_n of_o its_o end_n which_o be_v the_o enjoyment_n of_o god_n therefore_o the_o main_a thing_n by_o which_o we_o shall_v judge_v of_o the_o work_n and_o so_o of_o the_o day_n of_o grace_n be_v this_o by_o labour_v to_o inform_v ourselves_o aright_o what_o difference_n there_o be_v betwixt_o these_o and_o former_a conviction_n and_o whether_o these_o be_v better_o than_o they_o or_o 2_o observe_v thy_o desire_n what_o do_v they_o run_v out_o most_o after_o christ_n or_o comfort_n peace_n or_o purity_n if_o the_o trouble_n be_v only_o a_o force_a trouble_n from_o conscience_n than_o the_o soul_n do_v ordinary_o look_v no_o far_o than_o the_o present_a trouble_n and_o how_o to_o be_v rid_v of_o that_o it_o be_v peace_n that_o conscience_n look_v after_o but_o if_o the_o will_v be_v move_v that_o must_v have_v something_o else_o beside_o peace_n it_o be_v not_o a_o calm_a wilserve_v the_o turn_n it_o must_v have_v christ_n and_o communion_n with_o he_o or_o nothing_o will_v satisfy_v 3_o look_v to_o thy_o endeavour_n when_o be_v they_o strong_a and_o most_o vigorous_a and_o draw_v out_o most_o after_o heaven_n and_o heavenly_a thing_n in_o thy_o trouble_n or_o in_o thy_o calm_n i_o have_v observe_v some_o that_o when_o they_o have_v be_v under_o trouble_n and_o terror_n of_o conscience_n they_o will_v then_o be_v very_o stir_v and_o seem_v to_o take_v much_o pain_n for_o heaven_n but_o when_o conscience_n be_v a_o little_a quiet_v they_o lay_v aside_o their_o religion_n and_o there_o be_v no_o more_o noise_n of_o it_o this_o be_v a_o sign_n that_o their_o stir_n be_v bare_o from_o conscience_n but_o other_o soul_n who_o will_n be_v wrought_v upon_o as_o well_o as_o their_o conscience_n have_v be_v more_o active_a and_o stir_v in_o the_o way_n of_o god_n as_o they_o have_v get_v more_o peace_n and_o assurance_n of_o god_n love_n and_o there_o be_v a_o clear_a reason_n for_o such_o different_a effect_n from_o their_o quiet_n because_o quiet_a and_o peace_n be_v the_o thing_n which_o the_o inflame_a conscience_n seek_v for_o but_o the_o sanctify_a will_n and_o affection_n seek_v for_o another_o thing_n and_o although_o a_o little_a peace_n may_v satisfy_v conscience_n and_o take_v off_o the_o edge_n of_o it_o this_o will_v set_v a_o edge_n upon_o the_o affection_n that_o which_o calm_v conscience_n quicken_v the_o sanctify_a will_n for_o every_o relish_n that_o it_o have_v of_o grace_n or_o peace_n make_v it_o seek_v for_o more_o try_v yourselves_o by_o these_o thing_n and_o if_o you_o find_v that_o your_o conviction_n be_v accompany_v with_o the_o stir_n of_o the_o will_n and_o affection_n be_v of_o good_a hope_n for_o thy_o day_n of_o grace_n be_v not_o over_o if_o thou_o have_v a_o will_n for_o god_n if_o he_o
