next_o verse_n the_o word_n be_v plain_a he_o make_v this_o more_o clear_a to_o wit_n that_o they_o be_v example_n to_o they_o of_o macedonia_n &_o achaia_n and_o he_o say_v for_o from_o you_o sound_v out_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n not_o in_o macedonia_n and_o achaia_n only_o even_o as_o at_o the_o beginning_n this_o bless_a gospel_n sound_v out_o from_o zion_n for_o they_o that_o preach_v it_o come_v from_o zion_n which_o be_v jerusalem_n and_o spread_v it_o abroad_o through_o the_o whole_a world_n so_o from_o the_o thessalonian_o the_o word_n sound_v out_o &_o spread_v to_o macedonia_n &_o achaia_n who_o be_v these_o that_o sound_v the_o word_n to_o macedonia_n now_o certain_o it_o appear_v well_o even_o travel_v man_n so_o journer_n passenger_n merchant_n traffiquer_n that_o have_v travel_v in_o macedonia_n as_o man_n that_o will_v go_v out_o of_o edinburgh_n to_o other_o part_n of_o this_o realm_n &_o so_o from_o macedonia_n to_o achaia_n these_o man_n as_o they_o so_o journ_v they_o so_o journ_v not_o with_o close_a mouth_n but_o they_o ever_o sound_v as_o herald_n and_o trumpettar_n sound_v and_o where_o ever_o they_o find_v occasion_n they_o speak_v of_o christ_n and_o of_o that_o grace_n which_o be_v in_o he_o to_o they_o that_o know_v he_o not_o so_o that_o they_o have_v conference_n ever_o of_o spiritual_a thing_n then_o you_o who_o travel_n from_o toun_n to_o town_n &_o from_o country_n to_o country_n you_o have_v your_o lesson_n here_o you_o shall_v not_o travel_v with_o a_o close_a mouth_n &_o all_o your_o speech_n shall_v not_o be_v of_o merchandise_n and_o traffic_n but_o of_o some_o grace_n you_o have_v get_v at_o home_n disperse_v and_o speak_v of_o it_o you_o think_v of_o duty_n you_o shall_v seek_v your_o advantage_n &_o merchandise_n the_o lord_n his_fw-mi bind_v your_o conscience_n as_o it_o be_v with_o bond_n to_o speak_v &_o open_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n &_o go_v to_o place_n where_o there_o be_v freedom_n to_o the_o purpose_n of_o the_o apostle_n in_o this_o place_n be_v to_o comfort_v the_o thessalonian_o against_o the_o affliction●s_n wherewith_a for_o the_o time_n they_o be_v exercise_v the_o first_o and_o the_o chief_a argument_n of_o consolation_n be_v take_v from_o that_o just_a judgement_n of_o god_n when_o he_o come_v for_o the_o affliction_n that_o the_o godly_a and_o innocent_a suffer_v in_o this_o life_n for_o the_o name_n of_o jesus_n christ_n be_v as_o a_o mirror_n wherein_o we_o may_v see_v the_o lord_n jesus_n come_v to_o judgement_n to_o take_v vengeance_n on_o the_o afflicter_n and_o to_o render_v and_o to_o give_v rest_n 〈◊〉_d his_o own_o the_o apostle_n take_v occasion_n of_o this_o argument_n point_v out_o the_o lord_n jesus_n come_v to_o judge_v the_o world_n he_o note_v the_o place_n from_o which_o he_o shall_v come_v a_o heaven_n above_o all_o these_o visible_a heaven_n he_o note_v the_o company_n wherewith_o in_o his_o come_n he_o shall_v he_o accompany_v first_o the_o angel_n of_o his_o power_n enarm_v with_o the_o power_n of_o the_o judge_n the_o lord_n jesus_n to_o execute_v his_o just_a judgement_n the_o next_o company_n be_v a_o without_o end_n when_o he_o have_v paint_v out_o the_o lord_n come_v to_o judge_v the_o world_n he_o subjoin_v the_o effect_n that_o shall_v follow_v upon_o his_o come_n and_o judgement_n the_o first_o effect_n be_v he_o shall_v inflict_v vengeance_n to_o they_o who_o in_o this_o world_n know_v not_o god_n and_o will_v not_o obey_v the_o gospel_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o after_o this_o he_o descryve_v this_o vengeance_n more_o particular_o it_o shall_v be_v a_o utter_a destruction_n so_o that_o they_o shall_v never_o get_v up_o their_o head_n again_o and_o this_o destruction_n shall_v be_v endless_a a_o death_n without_o a_o death_n the_o sore_a death_n that_o ever_o man_n die_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o perdition_n shall_v be_v the_o face_n and_o angry_a countenance_n of_o the_o judge_n his_o face_n shall_v be_v as_o fire_n and_o they_o shall_v be_v as_o wax_v the_o heat_n of_o his_o face_n shall_v melt_v they_o as_o the_o fire_n melt_v the_o wax_n the_o cause_n of_o the_o eternity_n of_o their_o perdition_n shall_v be_v the_o glory_n of_o his_o power_n his_o power_n shall_v never_o have_v a_o end_n and_o therefore_o their_o pain_n anguish_n and_o perdition_n shall_v never_o have_v a_o end_n the_o power_n shall_v ever_o hold_v they_o still_o in_o a_o torment_n and_o so_o this_o wraith_n everlasting_a shall_v seize_v and_o feed_v upon_o they_o for_o evermore_o and_o so_o they_o shall_v ever_o be_v do_v and_o never_o be_v dead_a now_o in_o this_o text_n we_o have_v the_o second_o effect_n that_o shall_v follow_v on_o the_o come_n of_o the_o lord_n to_o his_o judgement_n the_o first_o effect_n concern_v the_o wicked_a this_o effect_n concern_v the_o godly_a to_o come_v to_o the_o word_n short_o he_o say_v when_o he_o shall_v come_v to_o be_v glorify_v in_o his_o saint_n the_o meaning_n be_v this_o vengeance_n of_o perdition_n everlasting_a shall_v be_v inflict_v on_o the_o rebel_n of_o god_n and_o christ_n at_o that_o time_n when_o he_o shall_v come_v to_o glorify_v his_o own_o the_o saint_n that_o in_o their_o glory_n and_o life_n everlasting_a he_o may_v be_v glorify_v himself_o soul_n chief_a end_n of_o christ_n come_n be_v to_o glorify_v the_o soul_n this_o be_v the_o meaning_n short_o now_o if_o you_o will_v mark_v the_o first_o word_n when_o he_o shall_v come_v you_o may_v see_v that_o the_o first_o and_o chief_a end_n of_o the_o come_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n to_o judgement_n be_v not_o the_o wrack_n of_o the_o reprobate_n but_o his_o chief_a end_n in_o his_o come_n to_o judgement_n shall_v be_v the_o glorify_v of_o his_o own_o that_o in_o their_o glory_n he_o may_v be_v glorify_v for_o ever_o the_o order_n of_o the_o give_v out_o of_o their_o doom_n and_o sentence_n of_o life_n and_o death_n at_o that_o day_n make_v this_o master_n pla●ne_v read_v the_o order_n of_o the_o give_v forth_o of_o this_o sentence_n in_o the_o 25._o chap._n of_o matthew_n vers_fw-la 34._o etc._n etc._n joh●_n 5._o cha_n 29._o vers_fw-la the_o sentence_n shall_v be_v give_v first_o to_o the_o godly_a and_o the_o lord_n shall_v say_v first_o to_o they_o ere_o he_o open_v his_o mouth_n to_o the_o other_o come_v
