and_o confirm_v they_o in_o that_o privilege_n of_o be_v his_o choose_a people_n notwithstanding_o their_o temporal_a rejection_n doct._n 1._o when_o the_o lord_n have_v say_v much_o for_o the_o comfort_n of_o his_o people_n he_o have_v still_o yet_o more_o to_o say_v to_o be_v as_o confident_o avow_v as_o if_o he_o have_v make_v but_o promise_n of_o one_o thing_n and_o his_o servant_n need_v much_o up-stirring_a to_o search_v into_o the_o riches_n of_o christ_n and_o not_o to_o weary_v in_o bring_v it_o forth_o unto_o his_o people_n therefore_o after_o the_o former_a commission_n and_o promise_n cry_v yet_o say_v the_o lord_n 2._o though_o there_o be_v many_o thing_n that_o seem_v to_o lie_v in_o the_o way_n of_o promise_n such_o as_o guilt_n difficulty_n length_n of_o time_n etc._n etc._n which_o may_v make_v performance_n seem_v improbable_a if_o not_o impossible_a yet_o the_o faith_n both_o of_o preacher_n and_o people_n ought_v to_o step_v over_o these_o and_o whatever_o shall_v yet_o spread_v etc._n etc._n show_v that_o whatever_o be_v say_v to_o the_o contrary_a these_o thing_n shall_v be_v 3._o when_o god_n be_v reconcile_v with_o a_o people_n all_o thing_n that_o concern_v they_o become_v the_o lord_n in_o a_o special_a manner_n to_o get_v protection_n and_o blessing_n from_o he_o for_o now_o their_o city_n be_v he_o my_o city_n 4._o though_o the_o lord_n people_n reconcile_v with_o he_o may_v lie_v low_a for_o a_o time_n yet_o his_o blessing_n can_v exalt_v they_o beyond_o all_o expectation_n my_o city_n through_o prosperity_n shall_v yet_o be_v spread_v abroad_o 5._o though_o the_o lord_n people_n seem_v ofttimes_o to_o be_v strike_v with_o incurable_a and_o grievous_a wound_n yet_o the_o lord_n both_o can_v and_o in_o due_a time_n will_v which_o by_o sad_a affliction_n seem_v to_o be_v annul_v and_o make_v void_a for_o their_o comfort_n be_v that_o by_o these_o dispensation_n he_o shall_v yet_o choose_v jerusalem_n or_o give_v a_o the_o world_n and_o have_v scatter_v the_o whole_a body_n of_o god_n people_n both_o of_o israel_n and_o judah_n which_o enemy_n be_v represent_v to_o the_o prophet_n and_o under_o the_o type_n of_o horn_n allude_v to_o the_o custom_n of_o soldier_n who_o have_v iron_n horn_n in_o their_o helmet_n for_o terror_n or_o to_o beast_n who_o enemy_n resemble_v in_o cruelty_n so_o albeit_o the_o jew_n type_n of_o carpenter_n or_o hammer-man_n able_a to_o break_v and_o cut_v off_o these_o horn_n and_o both_o these_o type_n be_v explain_v by_o the_o lord_n unto_o he_o doct._n 1._o when_o great_a promise_n be_v give_v to_o the_o church_n her_o faith_n may_v have_v sore_a essay_n and_o great_a obstruction_n may_v appear_v in_o the_o way_n of_o performance_n from_o potent_a cruel_a and_o enlargement_n call_v for_o this_o new_a one_o of_o protection_n and_o get_v it_o 2._o when_o the_o lord_n see_v it_o fit_a to_o exempt_v his_o people_n from_o trouble_n he_o can_v in_o most_o unsafe_a time_n and_o when_o they_o be_v weak_a safe_o protect_v they_o by_o bridle_a enemy_n by_o his_o secret_a hand_n by_o make_v the_o church_n find_v favour_n in_o their_o eye_n or_o make_v their_o attempt_n as_o ineffectual_a as_o if_o they_o will_v essay_n to_o go_v through_o a_o fire_n and_o even_o when_o his_o church_n taste_v of_o trouble_n yet_o she_o be_v not_o seclude_v from_o his_o protection_n nor_o expose_v to_o the_o will_n of_o enemy_n and_o what_o they_o do_v against_o she_o shall_v be_v as_o prejudicial_a to_o they_o as_o if_o they_o have_v go_v through_o a_o burn_a fire_n i_o say_v the_o lord_n will_v be_v unto_o she_o a_o wall_n of_o fire_n round_o about_o do_v import_v all_o this_o 3._o as_o the_o lord_n presence_n with_o and_o among_o a_o people_n be_v their_o great_a glory_n and_o make_v they_o glorious_a so_o it_o be_v a_o pledge_n of_o their_o protection_n that_o he_o will_v secure_v his_o own_o habitation_n and_o put_v a_o defence_n on_o his_o own_o people_n may_v be_v conspicuous_a till_o christ_n shall_v come_v who_o will_v enlarge_v his_o chureh_n and_o that_o they_o may_v share_v with_o the_o rest_n in_o these_o promise_n in_o this_o exhortation_n two_o reason_n be_v couch_v 1._o that_o their_o scatter_n into_o babel_n and_o into_o all_o other_o corner_n of_o which_o see_v ezek._n 5.12_o jer._n 4.11_o be_v a_o judgement_n and_o and_o a_o invitation_n of_o their_o brethren_n to_o leave_v all_o and_o come_v unto_o they_o 2._o the_o worst_a and_o bitter_a of_o condition_n may_v in_o process_n of_o time_n be_v sit_v down_o under_o by_o unsensible_a soul_n with_o stupidity_n and_o such_o a_o outgate_n make_v of_o they_o as_o they_o will_v be_v quit_v hope_n of_o better_a for_o these_o people_n who_o can_v not_o think_v of_o go_v to_o babel_n have_v now_o settle_v themselves_o in_o it_o as_o their_o home_n and_o need_v call_v upon_o call_v to_o come_v out_o of_o it_o ho_o ho_o flee_v deliver_v thyself_o 3._o it_o be_v a_o usual_a sin_n in_o man_n through_o negligence_n love_v of_o the_o world_n prejudice_n at_o the_o way_n of_o god_n and_o unwillingness_n to_o embark_v in_o difficulty_n to_o neglect_v
their_o own_o true_a good_a and_o their_o duty_n for_o enlargement_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n for_o these_o cause_v it_o be_v that_o the_o jew_n need_v so_o many_o call_v to_o leave_v babylon_n and_o come_v to_o jerusalem_n to_o join_v in_o the_o work_n of_o god_n and_o enjoy_v the_o mean_n of_o salvation_n 4._o albeit_o the_o command_n of_o god_n seem_v many_o time_n unjust_a to_o our_o sense_n and_o obedience_n thereunto_o very_o prejudicial_a yet_o upon_o better_a information_n we_o will_v find_v that_o our_o advantage_n lie_v in_o speedy_a obedience_n upon_o any_o hazard_n therefore_o the_o call_n to_o these_o linger_a jew_n be_v not_o only_o to_o come_v forth_o but_o to_o flee_v and_o deliver_v thyself_o or_o make_v a_o escape_n on_o any_o term_n as_o out_o of_o a_o great_a hazard_n albeit_o they_o think_v it_o their_o best_a to_o abide_v there_o 5._o as_o the_o lord_n in_o show_v mercy_n to_o his_o people_n call_v to_o mind_v their_o form_n affliction_n that_o he_o may_v be_v so_o much_o the_o more_o kind_a so_o however_o the_o lord_n may_v make_v the_o place_n of_o his_o people_n captivity_n easy_a to_o they_o yet_o it_o be_v a_o judgement-like_a disposition_n when_o a_o people_n choose_v that_o for_o their_o rest_n and_o outgate_v which_o god_n have_v cast_v they_o in_o in_o wrath_n and_o as_o a_o punishment_n for_o sin_n however_o it_o may_v and_o therefore_o it_o be_v their_o best_a to_o flee_v 3._o the_o church_n of_o god_n be_v the_o society_n where_o he_o set_v forth_o his_o glory_n more_o than_o among_o all_o the_o world_n beside_o and_o in_o do_v good_a to_o who_o he_o delight_v to_o be_v glorify_v and_o fetch_v argument_n so_o to_o do_v from_o his_o own_o glory_n when_o there_o be_v no_o cause_n in_o she_o therefore_o she_o be_v here_o call_v the_o glory_n 4._o as_o it_o be_v no_o mark_n of_o the_o true_a church_n to_o be_v exempt_v from_o affliction_n and_o as_o she_o lose_v none_o of_o her_o splendour_n in_o his_o eye_n by_o any_o affliction_n so_o the_o church_n affliction_n be_v forerunner_n of_o judgement_n on_o the_o world_n and_o her_o enemy_n and_o when_o he_o begin_v to_o let_v forth_o his_o glory_n in_o controversy_n against_o his_o church_n make_v enemy_n endeavour_n successful_a and_o dreadful_a and_o her_o opposition_n in_o vain_a for_o i_o scatter_v they_o with_o a_o whirlwind_n which_o can_v be_v resist_v 4._o it_o be_v a_o fore_a judgement_n and_o the_o fruit_n of_o contempt_n of_o the_o word_n and_o ordinance_n when_o the_o people_n of_o god_n be_v scatter_v from_o the_o fellowship_n one_o of_o another_o and_o cast_v among_o stranger_n with_o who_o they_o can_v have_v no_o communion_n especial_o in_o ordinance_n i_o scatter_v they_o among_o all_o the_o nation_n who_o they_o know_v god_n deal_n and_o blessing_n which_o they_o have_v foretell_v and_o have_v real_o come_v on_o they_o since_o they_o begin_v to_o bulld_n and_o be_v yet_o more_o to_o be_v let_v forth_o upon_o they_o ministry_n of_o jew_n and_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v much_o honoverd_v because_o of_o their_o enjoy_n the_o true_a religion_n v._o 20_o 21_o 22_o 23._o verse_n 1._o a_o gain_n the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n of_o host_n come_v to_o i_o say_v 2._o thus_o say_v the_o lord_n of_o host_n i_o be_v jealous_a for_o zion_n with_o great_a jealousy_n and_o i_o be_v jealous_a for_o she_o with_o great_a her_o feeling_n the_o sad_a fruit_n of_o threaten_n 5._o to_o have_v relation_n unto_o god_n and_o be_v own_v as_o he_o speak_v much_o honour_n to_o a_o people_n that_o he_o unto_o who_o all_o thing_n
