3._o 1_o and_o furthermore_o we_o beseech_v you_o brethren_n and_o exhort_v you_o in_o the_o lord_n jesus_n that_o you_o increase_v more_o and_o more_o as_o you_o have_v receive_v of_o we_o how_o you_o ought_v to_o walk_v and_o to_o please_v god_n 2_o for_o you_o know_v what_o commandment_n we_o give_v unto_o you_o by_o the_o lord_n jesus_n 3_o for_o this_o be_v the_o will_n of_o god_n even_o your_o sanctification_n and_o that_o you_o shall_v abstain_v from_o for●ication_n in_o the_o word_n go_v before_o you_o hear_v brethren_n the_o apostle_n make_v mention_n to_o the_o thessalonian_o of_o that_o earnest_a prayer_n he_o use_v to_o god_n for_o they_o that_o once_o it_o will_v please_v god_n to_o grant_v he_o a_o prosperous_a journey_n to_o they_o he_o fall_v out_o immediate_o in_o a_o prayer_n the_o prayer_n contain_v three_o part_n the_o first_o part_n be_v that_o god_n the_o father_n and_o the_o lord_n jesus_n will_v direct_v his_o way_n towards_o they_o the_o second_o part_n be_v that_o how_o ever_o it_o shall_v fall_v out_o whether_o he_o shall_v come_v to_o they_o or_o not_o at_o god_n pleasure_n yet_o that_o they_o shall_v abound_v in_o love_n every_o one_o towards_o another_o and_o not_o that_o only_a but_o in_o love_n to_o all_o man_n yea_o toward_a their_o ver●e_a enemy_n now_o short_o to_o come_v to_o our_o text_n in_o the_o last_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n you_o have_v the_o three_o head_n of_o his_o prayer_n he_o beseech_v god_n to_o give_v they_o holiness_n holiness_n in_o general_a all_o kind_n of_o holiness_n as_o he_o pray_v before_o that_o they_o may_v abound_v in_o love_n and_o charity_n which_o be_v a_o part_n of_o holiness_n so_o now_o he_o pray_v they_o shall_v have_v all_o sort_n of_o holiness_n thereafter_o in_o the_o chapter_n follow_v he_o fall_v out_o in_o precept_n of_o good_a manner_n and_o holy_a life_n and_o conversation_n and_o this_o he_o follow_v out_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o epistle_n save_v only_o by_o the_o way_n he_o cast_v in_o one_o or_o two_o information_n resolve_v they_o of_o certain_a doubt_n the_o first_o concern_v the_o mourning_n for_o the_o dead_a the_o second_o concern_v the_o day_n of_o judgement_n and_o the_o come_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n now_o to_o return_v he_o pray_v for_o holiness_n to_o they_o and_o what_o shall_v this_o holiness_n do_v to_o make_v your_o heart_n say_v he_o stable_n and_o unblameable_a before_o god_n and_o at_o what_o time_n especial_o at_o the_o come_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n in_o what_o company_n shall_v they_o be_v establish_v with_o holiness_n they_o alone_a no_o but_o with_o all_o his_o saint_n in_o that_o happy_a society_n of_o the_o church_n of_o god_n and_o the_o saint_n there_o be_v the_o effect_n short_o of_o this_o thirtienth_fw-mi verse_n then_o brethren_n mark_v it_o be_v holiness_n not_o a_o fashion_n of_o holiness_n in_o outward_a behaviour_n god_n holiness_n stablish_v our_o heart_n before_o god_n but_o within_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o man_n or_o woman_n that_o make_v they_o stand_v up_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n that_o establish_v they_o without_o fear_n terror_n or_o tremble_v when_o they_o stand_v before_o the._n tribunal_n of_o a_o terrible_a judge_n where_o there_o be_v no_o holiness_n no_o sincerity_n of_o heart_n in_o man_n but_o a_o heart_n fill_v with_o foul_a affection_n full_a of_o uncleanness_n and_o filthiness_n there_o the_o heart_n dare_v not_o present_v the_o self_n before_o the_o face_n of_o
