this_o to_o the_o image_n of_o god_n and_o to_o the_o creation_n of_o man_n after_o his_o image_n for_o the_o image_n speak_v of_o in_o the_o text_n it_o be_v only_o a_o type_n and_o a_o figure_n which_o the_o lord_n do_v use_v to_o set_v forth_o the_o four_o tyrannical_a empire_n which_o in_o their_o several_a succession_n one_o after_o another_o shall_v afflict_v the_o church_n these_o four_o great_a empire_n be_v do_v set_v forth_o by_o so_o many_o beast_n chap._n 7._o as_o they_o be_v describe_v by_o the_o four_o region_n and_o part_n of_o the_o image_n chap._n 2._o but_o what_o reference_n have_v this_o description_n to_o the_o image_n of_o god_n in_o the_o creation_n of_o man_n i_o can_v discern_v i_o think_v as_o good_a a_o resemblance_n may_v be_v find_v between_o a_o succession_n of_o tyranny_n rather_o than_o of_o lawful_a dominion_n and_o why_o he_o shall_v do_v this_o by_o the_o four_o part_n of_o the_o body_n of_o man_n be_v from_o his_o own_o institution_n neither_o be_v that_o other_o place_n more_o fit_o allege_v out_o of_o the_o book_n of_o the_o revelation_n for_o though_o it_o be_v true_a in_o the_o general_n that_o ruler_n in_o respect_n of_o their_o pre-eminence_n do_v carry_v the_o image_n of_o god_n yet_o how_o can_v you_o conclude_v anything_o from_o that_o text_n the_o dragon_n give_v life_n to_o the_o image_n rev._n 13.15_o the_o as_o it_o be_v from_o the_o dead_a this_o the_o spirit_n do_v express_v when_o he_o say_v that_o the_o beast_n have_v a_o wound_n in_o one_o of_o his_o head_n this_o wound_n be_v cure_v and_o the_o second_o beast_n make_v a_o image_n to_o the_o beast_n that_o have_v receive_v a_o wound_n in_o one_o of_o his_o head_n the_o scope_n of_o all_o be_v to_o show_v the_o repair_n of_o the_o roman_a tyranny_n in_o the_o pope_n that_o be_v former_o lose_v in_o the_o caesar_n now_o how_o do_v you_o gather_v from_o hence_o that_o magistrate_n do_v carry_v the_o image_n of_o god_n in_o respect_n of_o their_o authority_n indeed_o in_o these_o word_n there_o be_v mention_v make_v of_o a_o image_n but_o none_o of_o god_n image_n of_o the_o image_n of_o the_o beast_n which_o have_v receive_v a_o wound_n in_o one_o of_o his_o head_n again_o here_o be_v mention_v make_v of_o a_o vicegerent_n but_o none_o of_o god_n vice_n gerent_n upon_o the_o earth_n the_o dragon_n give_v he_o his_o power_n seat_n and_o great_a authority_n now_o sir_n i_o leave_v it_o to_o any_o ordinary_a understanding_n to_o judge_v what_o woeful_a havoc_n be_v here_o make_v of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n i_o do_v the_o
