resolve_v upon_o which_o if_o right_o handle_v may_v perchance_o do_v something_o but_o you_o know_v my_o opinion_n in_o all_o and_o what_o my_o belief_n be_v in_o all_o these_o thing_n i_o shall_v by_o any_o mean_n advise_v you_o to_o absent_v yourself_o albeit_o never_o so_o innocent_a as_o you_o be_v till_o you_o see_v what_o become_v of_o i_o if_o i_o live_v there_o will_v be_v no_o danger_n for_o you_o to_o stay_v but_o otherwise_o keep_v out_o of_o the_o way_n till_o i_o be_v forget_v and_o then_o your_o return_n may_v be_v with_o safety_n i_o mean_v indeed_o to_o leave_v you_o one_o in_o trust_n for_o my_o child_n and_o thank_v you_o for_o your_o readiness_n to_o look_v after_o it_o time_n be_v precious_a and_o i_o i_o expect_v to_o be_v very_o short_a and_o therefore_o no_o part_n of_o it_o to_o be_v lose_v god_n direct_a and_o prosper_v you_o in_o all_o your_o way_n and_o remember_v there_o be_v a_o person_n who_o you_o be_v content_a to_o call_v master_n that_o do_v very_o much_o value_n and_o esteem_v you_o and_o carry_v to_o his_o death_n a_o great_a stock_n of_o his_o affection_n for_o you_o as_o for_o all_o your_o service_n so_o for_o this_o your_o care_n towards_o i_o all_o this_o time_n of_o my_o trial_n and_o affliction_n and_o however_o it_o be_v my_o misfortune_n to_o be_v decry_v at_o present_a yet_o in_o more_o equal_a time_n my_o friend_n i_o trust_v shall_v not_o be_v ashamed_a to_o mention_v the_o love_n to_o their_o child_n for_o their_o father_n sake_n your_o affectionate_a friend_n strafford_n the_o reflection_n of_o king_n charles_n the_o i._o upon_o the_o earl_n of_o strafford_n death_n i_o look_v upon_o my_o lord_n of_o strafford_n as_o a_o gentleman_n who_o great_a ability_n may_v make_v a_o prince_n rather_o afraid_a than_o ashamed_a to_o employ_v he_o in_o the_o great_a affair_n of_o state_n for_o those_o be_v prone_a to_o create_v in_o he_o great_a confidence_n of_o undertake_n and_o this_o be_v like_a enough_o to_o betray_v he_o to_o great_a error_n and_o many_o enemy_n whereof_o he_o can_v not_o but_o contract_v good_a store_n while_o move_v in_o so_o high_a a_o sphere_n and_o with_o so_o vigorous_a a_o luster_n he_o must_v needs_o as_o the_o sun_n raise_v many_o envious_a exhalation_n which_o condense_v by_o a_o popular_a odium_fw-la be_v capable_a to_o cast_v a_o cloud_n upon_o the_o bright_a merit_n and_o integrity_n though_o i_o can_v in_o my_o judgement_n approve_v all_o he_o do_v drive_v it_o may_v be_v by_o the_o necessity_n of_o time_n and_o the_o temper_n of_o that_o people_n more_o than_o lead_v by_o his_o own_o disposition_n to_o any_o height_n and_o rigour_n of_o action_n yet_o i_o can_v never_o be_v convince_v of_o any_o such_o criminousness_n in_o he_o as_o willing_o to_o expose_v his_o life_n to_o the_o stroke_n of_o justice_n and_o malice_n of_o his_o enemy_n i_o never_o meet_v with_o a_o more_o unhappy_a conjuncture_n of_o affair_n than_o in_o the_o business_n of_o that_o unfortunate_a earl_n when_o between_o my_o own_o unsatisfiedness_n in_o conscience_n and_o a_o necessity_n as_o some_o tell_v i_o of_o satisfy_v the_o importunity_n of_o some_o people_n i_o be_v persuade_v by_o those_o that_o i_o think_v wish_v i_o well_o to_o choose_v rather_o what_o be_v safe_a than_o what_o seem_v just_a prefer_v the_o outward_a peace_n of_o my_o kingdom_n with_o man_n before_o that_o inward_a exactness_n of_o conscience_n before_o god_n and_o indeed_o i_o be_o so_o far_o from_o excuse_v or_o deny_v that_o compliance_n on_o my_o part_n for_o plenary_a consent_n it_o be_v not_o to_o his_o destruction_n who_o in_o my_o judgement_n i_o think_v not_o by_o
i_o conceive_v not_o material_a as_o to_o the_o charge_n forbear_v to_o answer_v to_o they_o whereby_o i_o understand_v i_o have_v receive_v some_o prejudice_n therefore_o i_o desire_v i_o may_v now_o give_v satisfaction_n therein_o be_v well_o able_a to_o do_v it_o we_o hope_v your_o lordship_n remember_v your_o own_o order_n we_o desire_v he_o may_v not_o have_v that_o allow_v he_o to_o day_n which_o be_v not_o grant_v he_o yesterday_o manager_n the_o evidence_n have_v be_v give_v for_o his_o majesty_n my_o lord_n of_o strafford_n have_v answer_v and_o the_o commons_o reply_v touch_v which_o the_o lord_n steward_n declare_v that_o the_o due_a course_n have_v be_v follow_v the_o evidence_n be_v give_v for_o the_o king_n my_o lord_n have_v answer_v and_o a_o reply_v make_v my_o lord_n this_o be_v a_o court_n of_o honour_n which_o be_v a_o rule_n to_o itself_o and_o no_o other_o court_n be_v a_o rule_n to_o it_o and_o therefore_o if_o any_o thing_n be_v omit_v one_o strafford_n day_n through_o want_n of_o memory_n your_o lordship_n may_v in_o your_o nobleness_n allow_v another_o your_o lordship_n be_v your_o own_o judge_n and_o rule_n and_o most_o fit_a it_o shall_v be_v so_o i_o do_v therefore_o beseech_v your_o lordship_n that_o i_o may_v have_v liberty_n to_o offer_v new_a matter_n former_o omit_v else_o i_o shall_v be_v on_o great_a disadvantage_n be_v to_o answer_v on_o a_o sudden_a and_o have_v no_o time_n till_o friday_n last_o to_o bring_v in_o witness_n and_o many_o perhaps_o may_v come_v up_o before_o my_o trial_n end_v we_o desire_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o commons_o of_o england_n we_o may_v proceed_v according_a to_o the_o rule_n propound_v that_o his_o lordship_n may_v not_o invert_v the_o manager_n course_n on_o pretence_n of_o new_a matter_n for_o than_o it_o will_v be_v impossible_a for_o we_o to_o make_v good_a the_o charge_n which_o be_v according_o resolve_v add_v further_o that_o there_o have_v be_v ostentation_n of_o more_o evidence_n we_o desire_v it_o may_v make_v no_o impression_n with_o your_o lordship_n we_o shall_v open_v the_o three_o article_n contain_v very_o seditious_a word_n speak_v by_o my_o lord_n of_o strafford_n in_o a_o public_a assembly_n to_o the_o king_n subject_n manager_n that_o ireland_n be_v a_o conquer_a nation_n that_o the_o king_n may_v do_v with_o they_o what_o he_o that_o the_o witness_n may_v stand_v in_o another_o room_n from_o the_o committee_n it_o be_v not_o usual_a in_o other_o court_n though_o i_o strafford_n dare_v not_o offer_v any_o court_n to_o be_v a_o rule_n to_o this_o and_o that_o your_o lordship_n will_v direct_v the_o question_n we_o have_v be_v sensible_a his_o lordship_n have_v be_v large_a in_o his_o imputation_n we_o shall_v behave_v yesterday_o that_o not_o a_o censure_n much_o less_o a_o information_n in_o the_o star-chamber_n shall_v be_v a_o fit_a exception_n against_o a_o witness_n the_o other_o part_n be_v the_o ill_a will_n which_o my_o lord_n of_o cork_n may_v bear_v my_o lord_n of_o strafford_n on_o that_o occasion_n true_o my_o lord_n if_o ill_a will_n and_o offence_n against_o my_o lord_n of_o strafford_n shall_v in_o a_o war_n against_o the_o scot_n for_o that_o if_o their_o lordship_n please_v to_o give_v he_o leave_v he_o think_v the_o thing_n itself_o will_v best_o show_v itself_o and_o therefore_o he_o desire_v the_o remonstrance_n of_o the_o two_o house_n of_o parliament_n in_o ireland_n may_v be_v read_v and_o that_o of_o the_o commons-house_n be_v read_v be_v in_o effect_n the_o declaration_n of_o the_o commons-house_n there_o import_v whereas_o they_o have_v with_o one_o consent_n clear_o give_v to_o his_o majesty_n four_o entire_a subsidy_n towards_o his_o present_a preparation_n to_o reduce_v his_o disaffect_v subject_n the_o covenanter_n in_o scotland_n to_o their_o due_a obedience_n they_o still_o hope_v that_o his_o majesty_n great_a wisdom_n and_o unexampled_a clemency_n may_v yet_o prevail_v with_o the_o worse_o affect_v of_o those_o his_o subject_n to_o bring_v they_o to_o that_o conformity_n and_o submission_n which_o by_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o nature_n they_o owe_v to_o he_o but_o if_o his_o majesty_n shall_v be_v enforce_v to_o use_v his_o power_n to_o vindicate_v his_o just_a authority_n this_o house_n for_o themselves_o and_o the_o commons_o of_o this_o kingdom_n do_v profess_v that_o their_o zeal_n and_o duty_n shall_v not_o stay_v here_o at_o these_o four_o subsidy_n but_o humble_o promise_v that_o they_o will_v be_v ready_a with_o their_o person_n and_o estate_n to_o their_o uttermost_a ability_n for_o his_o majesty_n future_a supply_n in_o parliament_n as_o his_o great_a occasion_n by_o the_o continuance_n of_o his_o force_n against_o that_o distemper_n shall_v require_v this_o they_o pray_v that_o it_o may_v be_v represent_v to_o his_o majesty_n by_o the_o lord_n lieutenant_n and_o record_v as_o a_o ordinance_n of_o parliament_n and_o publish_v in_o print_n as_o a_o testimony_n to_o all_o the_o world_n and_o succeed_v age_n that_o as_o this_o kingdom_n have_v the_o happiness_n to_o be_v govern_v by_o the_o best_a of_o king_n so_o they_o desire_v to_o give_v cause_n that_o he_o shall_v account_v this_o people_n among_o the_o best_a of_o his_o subject_n the_o declaration_n of_o the_o lord_n spiritual_a and_o temporal_a be_v of_o the_o same_o tenor_n be_v spare_v to_o be_v read_v upon_o which_o my_o lord_n of_o strafford_n say_v that_o if_o he_o have_v procure_v this_o declaration_n it_o have_v be_v no_o crime_n consider_v what_o precede_v in_o the_o king_n council_n there_o but_o he_o say_v he_o have_v no_o part_n in_o it_o it_o be_v do_v with_o the_o great_a freedom_n and_o cheerfulness_n that_o ever_o he_o do_v or_o shall_v see_v a_o thing_n of_o that_o nature_n do_v it_o must_v be_v ascribe_v to_o that_o nation_n and_o the_o zeal_n affection_n and_o cheerfulness_n by_o which_o they_o discover_v themselves_o to_o the_o king_n service_n to_o which_o there_o be_v no_o need_n to_o invite_v they_o but_o if_o he_o have_v have_v a_o part_n in_o it_o he_o may_v have_v justify_v it_o consider_v what_o precedent_a instruction_n he_o have_v from_o the_o king_n which_o he_o can_v show_v but_o that_o he_o be_v loath_a to_o take_v up_o their_o lordship_n time_n the_o next_o thing_n he_o be_v charge_v withal_o be_v for_o confederate_v with_o sir_n george_n ratcliff_n and_o together_o with_o he_o traitorous_o conspire_v to_o employ_v the_o army_n raise_v in_o ireland_n for_o the_o ruin_n and_o destruction_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o england_n and_o of_o his_o majesty_n subject_n and_o subvert_v the_o fundamental_a law_n of_o this_o kingdom_n to_o which_o he_o say_v that_o true_o if_o it_o be_v make_v appear_v that_o he_o have_v so_o much_o as_o any_o such_o thought_n in_o his_o breast_n he_o shall_v easy_o give_v judgement_n against_o himself_o as_o not_o worthy_a to_o live_v if_o he_o shall_v confederate_a to_o the_o destruction_n of_o the_o country_n that_o bear_v he_o and_o consequent_o to_o the_o make_n of_o himself_o and_o his_o posterity_n little_a else_o than_o vassal_n who_o be_v bear_v a_o free_a people_n by_o the_o goodness_n of_o almighty_a god_n and_o under_o the_o protection_n and_o justice_n of_o the_o king_n and_o particular_o of_o his_o majesty_n that_o he_o have_v a_o heart_n that_o love_v freedom_n as_o well_o as_o another_o man_n and_o value_v it_o as_o high_o and_o in_o a_o modest_a and_o dutiful_a way_n will_v go_v as_o far_o to_o defend_v it_o and_o therefore_o certain_o he_o be_v not_o altogether_o so_o probable_o to_o be_v think_v a_o person_n that_o will_v go_v against_o it_o nay_o he_o think_v that_o man_n do_v the_o king_n the_o best_a service_n that_o stand_v for_o the_o modest_a propriety_n and_o liberty_n of_o the_o subject_a it_o have_v be_v once_o his_o opinion_n which_o he_o learn_v in_o the_o honourable_a house_n of_o commons_o when_o he_o have_v the_o honour_n to_o sit_v there_o it_o have_v go_v along_o with_o he_o in_o the_o whole_a course_n of_o his_o service_n to_o the_o commonwealth_n and_o by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n he_o shall_v carry_v it_o to_o his_o grave_n that_o the_o prerogative_n of_o the_o crown_n and_o liberty_n of_o the_o subject_a shall_v be_v equal_o look_v upon_o and_o serve_v together_o but_o not_o apart_o the_o proof_n they_o offer_v for_o this_o be_v a_o strange_a manner_n of_o proof_n for_o first_o they_o prove_v by_o sir_n robert_n king_n what_o sir_n george_n ratcliff_n say_v they_o will_v not_o admit_v the_o examination_n of_o sir_n george_n ratcliff_n but_o here_o be_v a_o report_n upon_o a_o report_n and_o what_o say_v this_o gentleman_n he_o tell_v of_o some_o time_n sir_n george_n ratcliff_n say_v which_o be_v not_o concern_v he_o the_o defendant_n and_o be_v impertinent_a for_o he_o to_o repeat_v but_o the_o deponent_a say_v in_o the_o conclusion_n that_o as_o he_o understand_v they_o there_o be_v some_o danger_n towards_o etc._n etc._n then_o come_v my_o lord_n ranalaugh_n and_o report_v the_o word_n of_o sir_n george_n ratcliff_n and_o in_o conclusion_n say_v that_o by_o some_o thing_n he_o do_v gather_v he_o have_v fear_n there_o may_v be_v some_o intendment_n to_o employ_v that_o army_n in_o ireland_n or_o some_o other_o place_n but_o he_o the_o defendant_n offer_v to_o their_o lordship_n that_o what_o sir_n george_n ratcliff_n say_v be_v nothing_o to_o he_o and_o so_o can_v not_o charge_v he_o with_o it_o the_o mean_a subject_n in_o the_o kingdom_n can_v commit_v treason_n by_o letter_n of_o attorney_n and_o it_o be_v a_o privilege_n which_o though_o he_o have_v the_o honour_n to_o be_v a_o peer_n he_o shall_v never_o desire_v that_o a_o peer_n may_v do_v it_o by_o proxy_n sir_n george_n ratcliff_n can_v speak_v nor_o procure_v treason_n for_o he_o and_o be_v sir_n george_n ratcliffes_n word_n they_o can_v be_v his_o the_o earl_n of_o strafford_n offence_n and_o he_o hope_v sir_n george_n will_v answer_v they_o as_o a_o honest_a gentleman_n and_o a_o privy-counsellor_n to_o the_o king_n which_o he_o have_v the_o honour_n to_o the_o proof_n of_o treason_n and_o most_o of_o the_o article_n be_v go_v over_o they_o come_v to_o the_o point_n at_o last_o and_o hence_o my_o lord_n i_o have_v all_o along_o watch_v to_o see_v if_o part_n i_o profess_v my_o ignorance_n who_o ever_o think_v the_o common_a law_n may_v declare_v but_o never_o make_v a_o treason_n it_o may_v be_v presuppose_v that_o there_o be_v a_o statute_n whereupon_o to_o build_v a_o declaration_n and_o therefore_o to_o say_v there_o be_v no_o statute_n for_o it_o it_o be_v to_o say_v it_o be_v no_o treason_n at_o all_o the_o statute_n ever_o make_v the_o treason_n and_o to_o be_v declare_v treason_n either_o by_o common_a law_n or_o by_o parliament_n be_v but_o two_o different_a way_n of_o proceed_n and_o must_v both_o resolve_v into_o one_o principle_n nay_o and_o which_o come_v home_o to_o the_o point_n in_o the_o 21_o of_o edward_n the_o three_o to_o kill_v a_o man_n employ_v in_o the_o king_n war_n be_v treason_n and_o the_o 23_o d_o to_o kill_v the_o king_n messenger_n be_v treason_n by_o declaration_n of_o the_o common_a law_n but_o always_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o statute_n yet_o none_o of_o these_o be_v treason_n but_o felony_n only_o because_o of_o the_o intervening_a statute_n of_o the_o 25_o the_o of_o edward_n the_o three_o such_o have_v ever_o be_v think_v the_o force_n of_o its_o letter_n and_o declaration_n and_o so_o i_o will_v leave_v it_o and_o a_o word_n or_o two_o of_o the_o salvo_n which_o be_v this_o that_o because_o all_o particular_n can_v not_o be_v enumerate_v therefore_o what_o the_o parliament_n shall_v declare_v to_o be_v treasonable_a in_o time_n to_o come_v shall_v be_v punish_v as_o a_o treason_n and_o according_a to_o this_o reservative_n in_o the_o 8_o the_o year_n of_o king_n richard_n the_o second_o one_o charge_v before_o the_o king_n bench_n be_v afterward_o refer_v to_o the_o parliament_n and_o there_o though_o the_o fact_n be_v not_o contain_v in_o the_o body_n of_o the_o statute_n yet_o because_o of_o the_o proviso_n aforementioned_a it_o be_v adjudge_v treason_n in_o the_o 11_o year_n of_o the_o same_o king_n the_o duke_n of_o ireland_n and_o nevil_n archbishop_n of_o york_n be_v impeach_v of_o high-treason_n by_o gloucester_n arundel_n and_o warwick_n and_o notwithstanding_o the_o statute_n be_v convict_v thereof_o by_o the_o salvo_n but_o in_o the_o 21_o of_o the_o same_o richard_n the_o 2_o d_o the_o tide_n turn_v and_o the_o king_n have_v such_o a_o hand_n with_o the_o parliament_n that_o the_o sentence_n be_v recall_v and_o those_o three_o nobleman_n themselves_o be_v adjudge_v traitor_n again_o in_o the_o 1_o of_o hen._n the_o four_o his_o successor_n that_o revocation_n of_o the_o 21_o richard_n the_o second_o be_v repeal_v and_o the_o sentence_n of_o the_o 11_o of_o his_o reign_n establish_v such_o be_v the_o toss_n too_o and_o fro_o of_o treason_n and_o all_o because_o of_o that_o uncertain_a proviso_n therefore_o it_o be_v that_o in_o the_o same_o parliament_n the_o 1_o hen._n the_o four_o a_o petition_n be_v prefer_v by_o the_o nobility_n to_o have_v treason_n limit_v within_o some_o statute_n because_o they_o know_v not_o what_o to_o speak_v or_o what_o to_o do_v for_o fear_n thereof_o and_o in_o chap._n 10._o a_o act_n be_v make_v upon_o this_o petition_n that_o the_o salvo_n shall_v be_v hold_v repeal_v in_o all_o time_n to_o come_v and_o nothing_o esteem_v treason_n but_o what_o be_v literal_o contain_v in_o the_o 25_o of_o edward_n the_o three_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v say_v in_o the_o record_n that_o there_o be_v great_a joy_n at_o the_o make_n of_o this_o act_n in_o that_o the_o draw_v sword_n hang_v over_o every_o man_n head_n by_o this_o slender_n thread_n of_o a_o consequence_n or_o illation_n be_v remove_v by_o that_o act._n add_v to_o this_o that_o in_o the_o first_o of_o queen_n mary_n cap._n 1._o the_o same_o be_v repeat_v that_o no_o man_n shall_v be_v punish_v in_o life_n or_o estate_n as_o a_o traitor_n but_o for_o the_o crime_n contain_v in_o the_o statute_n of_o 25_o edward_n the_o three_o without_o the_o least_o mention_n of_o the_o pretend_a salvo_n the_o earl_n of_o northumberland_n case_n come_v nigh_o to_o the_o point_n he_o be_v charge_v with_o treason_n the_o 5_o of_o henry_n the_o four_o and_o if_o the_o statute_n of_o the_o 1_o henry_n four_o chap._n 10._o whereby_o this_o proviso_n be_v repeal_v have_v not_o intervene_v no_o doubt_n he_o have_v be_v condemn_v of_o treason_n but_o he_o be_v only_o convict_v of_o felony_n and_o that_o because_o he_o can_v not_o be_v draw_v within_o the_o letter_n of_o the_o statute_n of_o the_o 25_o of_o edward_n the_o three_o and_o i_o dare_v confident_o say_v it_o that_o since_o that_o act_n be_v make_v the_o 1_o henry_n the_o four_o chap._n 10._o whereby_o the_o proviso_n be_v repeal_v no_o man_n have_v ever_o be_v declare_v a_o traitor_n either_o by_o king_n or_o parliament_n except_o it_o be_v upon_o that_o or_o some_o other_o statute_n literal_o and_o declarative_o take_v these_o two_o thing_n i_o do_v offer_n to_o your_o lordship_n consideration_n that_o the_o lord_n strafford_n can_v be_v impeach_v of_o treason_n by_o the_o statute_n of_o 25_o edward_n the_o three_o and_o that_o the_o salvo_n contain_v in_o the_o same_o stand_v repeal_v almost_o two_o hundred_o year_n ago_o and_o this_o be_v all_o i_o conceive_v to_o be_v necessary_a for_o that_o statute_n which_o be_v allege_v by_o the_o lord_n strafford_n in_o his_o defence_n for_o matter_n of_o law_n the_o recorder_n say_v he_o can_v add_v nothing_o to_o what_o the_o former_a council_n have_v speak_v for_o matter_n of_o law_n but_o if_o their_o lordship_n will_v state_n unto_o he_o any_o further_a question_n he_o be_v ready_a to_o give_v his_o resolution_n according_a to_o his_o best_a ability_n mr._n st._n john_n argument_n of_o law_n concern_v the_o bill_n of_o attainder_n april_n 29_o 1641._o my_o lord_n the_o knight_n citizens_z and_o burgess_n of_o the_o commons_o house_n of_o parliament_n have_v pass_v a_o bill_n for_o the_o attaint_n of_o thomas_n earl_n of_o strafford_n of_o high-treason_n the_o bill_n have_v be_v transmit_v from_o they_o to_o your_o lordship_n it_o concern_v not_o he_o alone_o but_o your_o lordship_n and_o the_o commons_o too_o though_o in_o different_a respect_n it_o concern_v his_o lordship_n the_o high_a that_o can_v be_v in_o the_o penal_a part_n so_o it_o do_v on_o the_o other_o side_n as_o high_o concern_v your_o lordship_n and_o the_o commons_o in_o that_o which_o ought_v to_o be_v the_o tender_a the_o judicatory_a within_o that_o that_o judge_v not_o they_o who_o judge_v he_o and_o in_o that_o which_o be_v most_o sacred_a among_o man_n the_o public_a justice_n of_o the_o kingdom_n the_o king_n be_v to_o be_v account_v unto_o for_o the_o loss_n of_o the_o mean_a member_n much_o more_o of_o one_o so_o near_o the_o head_n the_o commons_o be_v concern_v in_o their_o account_n for_o what_o be_v do_v your_o lordship_n in_o that_o which_o be_v to_o be_v do_v the_o business_n therefore_o of_o the_o present_a conference_n be_v to_o acquaint_v your_o lordship_n with_o those_o thing_n that_o satisfy_v the_o commons_o in_o pass_v of_o this_o bill_n such_o of_o they_o as_o have_v come_v within_o my_o capacity_n and_o that_o i_o can_v remember_v i_o be_o command_v from_o the_o commons_o at_o this_o time_n to_o present_v unto_o your_o lordship_n my_o lord_n in_o judgement_n of_o great_a moment_n there_o be_v but_o two_o way_n for_o satisfy_v those_o that_o be_v to_o give_v they_o either_o the_o lex_fw-la lata_fw-la the_o law_n already_o establish_v or_o else_o the_o use_n of_o the_o same_o power_n for_o make_v new_a law_n whereby_o the_o old_a at_o first_o receive_v life_n in_o the_o first_o consideration_n of_o the_o settle_a law_n in_o the_o degree_n of_o punishment_n the_o positive_a law_n receive_v by_o general_a consent_n and_o for_o the_o common_a good_a be_v sufficient_a to_o satisfy_v
