combustible_a fuel_n be_v lay_v upon_o it_o and_o so_o without_o any_o toil_n or_o difficulty_n the_o more_o we_o know_v the_o more_o we_o shall_v love_v and_o so_o more_o and_o more_o for_o ever_o if_o therefore_o we_o will_v know_v what_o measure_v of_o love_n to_o god_n we_o be_v oblige_v to_o by_o this_o law_n of_o perfection_n the_o answer_n be_v easy_a viz._n that_o to_o all_o eternity_n the_o joy_n of_o heaven_n can_v make_v we_o be_v doubtless_o such_o a_o instance_n of_o love_n and_o bounty_n as_o can_v only_o proceed_v from_o infinite_a goodness_n 4_o thly_a in_o perform_v the_o condition_n god_n operate_v more_o than_o we_o but_o in_o receive_v the_o reward_n we_o only_o be_v concern_v for_o to_o our_o sincere_a belief_n and_o obedience_n of_o the_o gospel_n it_o be_v those_o evidence_n by_o which_o we_o be_v convince_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o his_o gospel_n and_o of_o all_o those_o motive_n by_o which_o we_o be_v animate_v in_o our_o obedience_n to_o it_o beside_o all_o which_o i_o say_v he_o be_v also_o the_o author_n of_o all_o that_o inward_a grace_n and_o assistance_n by_o which_o our_o pious_a endeavour_n be_v excite_v and_o crown_v with_o a_o bless_a success_n and_o consider_v how_o much_o all_o these_o thing_n do_v operate_v upon_o our_o performance_n of_o the_o gospel-condition_n it_o be_v not_o only_o true_a that_o without_o god_n grace_n we_o shall_v never_o have_v perform_v it_o but_o also_o that_o in_o our_o performance_n of_o it_o that_o be_v the_o main_a and_o principle_n agent_n and_o no_o man_n ever_o yet_o become_v a_o hearty_a believer_n and_o disciple_n of_o jesus_n but_o be_v much_o more_o behold_v to_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n than_o to_o his_o own_o activity_n and_o endeavour_n and_o hence_o we_o be_v say_v to_o be_v create_v in_o christ_n jesus_n unto_o good_a work_n eph._n two_o 10_o not_o but_o that_o god_n exact_v the_o concurrence_n of_o our_o endeavour_n with_o his_o grace_n and_o that_o in_o the_o performance_n of_o the_o gospel-condition_n as_o well_o as_o in_o any_o other_o affair_n of_o our_o life_n for_o it_o be_v the_o blessing_n of_o the_o lord_n that_o make_v man_n rich_a as_o well_o as_o good_a and_o we_o may_v as_o well_o expect_v that_o he_o shall_v make_v we_o rich_a without_o industry_n as_o good_a without_o diligence_n and_o endeavour_n but_o when_o we_o have_v do_v our_o utmost_a it_o be_v to_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n as_o to_o the_o principal_a cause_n that_o all_o our_o good_a be_v to_o be_v attribute_v but_o yet_o though_o it_o be_v he_o that_o work_v this_o condition_n in_o we_o that_o be_v the_o author_n and_o finisher_n of_o our_o faith_n yet_o the_o reward_n do_v whole_o redound_v to_o ourselves_o as_o if_o we_o have_v be_v the_o author_n and_o finisher_n of_o all_o and_o though_o he_o have_v the_o great_a share_n in_o the_o work_n yet_o he_o substract_v nothing_o at_o all_o from_o the_o wage_n but_o pay_v we_o infinite_o more_o than_o the_o utmost_a merit_n of_o the_o work_n amount_v to_o he_o give_v we_o faith_n and_o then_o he_o crown_v his_o own_o gift_n with_o glory_n and_o honour_n and_o immortality_n he_o sow_v and_o cultivate_v our_o nature_n that_o we_o may_v reap_v the_o crop_n and_o harvest_n so_o infinite_o liberal_a be_v our_o bless_a master_n as_o to_o reward_v his_o servant_n for_o his_o own_o work_n to_o undergo_v the_o great_a part_n of_o their_o labour_n and_o when_o it_o be_v do_v to_o pay_v they_o ten_o thousand_o fold_n for_o it_o 5_o thly_a the_o condition_n be_v momentary_a and_o temporal_a but_o the_o reward_n be_v eternal_a it_o be_v but_o a_o little_a little_a while_n that_o the_o labour_n of_o our_o duty_n last_v for_o constancy_n and_o perseverance_n will_v soon_o render_v it_o natural_a and_o easy_a and_o if_o it_o do_v not_o yet_o death_n will_v quick_o put_v a_o end_n to_o all_o and_o within_o these_o very_a few_o day_n or_o year_n we_o shall_v see_v a_o everlasting_a period_n of_o all_o the_o pain_n of_o our_o watchfulness_n of_o all_o the_o severity_n of_o mortification_n and_o of_o all_o the_o sorrow_n of_o repentance_n but_o then_o the_o reward_n abide_v to_o all_o eternity_n and_o last_v out_o to_o a_o never-ending_a duration_n so_o that_o though_o we_o shall_v soon_o see_v a_o end_n of_o our_o work_n yet_o the_o wage_n be_v so_o vast_a that_o we_o shall_v be_v spend_v on_o it_o for_o ever_o and_o myriad_o of_o myriad_o of_o age_n hence_o shall_v be_v rejoice_v in_o the_o fruit_n of_o our_o present_a labour_n and_o reap_v the_o blissful_a effect_n of_o our_o faith_n and_o obedience_n to_o the_o late_a moment_n of_o eternity_n o_o thou_o liberal_a rewarder_n of_o man_n who_o can_v sufficient_o admire_v thy_o goodness_n that_o remunerate_v our_o short_a pain_n with_o endless_a pleasure_n and_o exchange_v with_o we_o a_o eternity_n of_o happiness_n for_o the_o labour_n and_o service_n of_o a_o moment_n for_o when_o we_o be_v arrive_v into_o that_o vast_a eternity_n of_o bliss_n all_o the_o pain_n we_o have_v take_v in_o our_o voyage_n thither_o will_v
