of_o thing_n which_o be_v high_a in_o order_n to_o that_o end_n as_o that_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n which_o it_o admire_v most_o be_v the_o man_n who_o despise_v that_o and_o to_o own_o but_o as_o the_o good_n of_o another_o and_o only_o lend_v to_o they_o and_o not_o only_o do_v the_o have_v of_o all_o these_o gift_n not_o distract_v or_o hinder_v they_o from_o remain_v entire_a in_o their_o poorness_n and_o baseness_n or_o from_o esteem_v themselves_o below_o all_o other_o but_o it_o rather_o help_v they_o on_o towards_o that_o end_n because_o they_o think_v they_o conscience_n be_v supply_v by_o your_o be_v ashamed_a of_o yourselves_o and_o let_v that_o which_o be_v want_v to_o you_o in_o fervour_n and_o perfection_n be_v make_v up_o by_o your_o confusion_n quiet_o on_o by_o the_o plain_a and_o even_a way_n of_o humility_n for_o so_o you_o will_v meet_v with_o a_o most_o convenient_a mean_n for_o your_o salvation_n if_o you_o think_v you_o be_v not_o able_a to_o enter_v into_o and_o excel_v in_o prayer_n enter_v at_o least_o into_o your_o own_o confusion_n if_o you_o conceive_v that_o you_o have_v no_o talon_n for_o important_a thing_n procure_v to_o get_v humility_n for_o by_o this_o you_o shall_v supply_v for_o all_o those_o thing_n let_v we_o therefore_o consider_v here_o how_o little_a our_o lord_n ask_v of_o we_o and_o with_o how_o little_a he_o content_v himself_o he_o desire_v that_o according_a to_o our_o baseness_n we_o will_v know_v and_o humble_v ourselves_o if_o god_n shall_v ask_v of_o we_o great_a fast_n great_a and_o many_o good_a work_n great_a and_o high_a contemplation_n some_o man_n may_v excuse_v themselves_o and_o say_v that_o they_o have_v no_o strength_n for_o the_o one_o and_o no_o talon_n or_o ability_n to_o attempt_v and_o enterprise_v great_a and_o excellent_a thing_n which_o in_o themselves_o may_v be_v worthy_a of_o honour_n and_o both_o the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o seem_v to_o be_v contrary_a to_o humility_n for_o as_o for_o the_o first_o which_o be_v to_o enterprise_v great_a thing_n this_o seem_v not_o to_o sure_a well_o with_o this_o virtue_n because_o one_o of_o the_o degree_n of_o humility_n which_o the_o saint_n assign_v be_v to_o confess_v and_o hold_v himself_o unworthy_a and_o unprofitable_a for_o all_o thing_n and_o now_o for_o a_o man_n to_o attempt_v that_o for_o which_o he_o be_v not_o fit_a seem_v to_o be_v presumption_n and_o pride_n and_o as_o for_o the_o second_o point_n which_o be_v to_o enterprise_n thing_n of_o honour_n it_o seem_v also_o to_o be_v contrary_a because_o the_o true_a humble_a man_n must_v be_v very_o farfrom_o desire_v honour_n and_o estimation_n to_o this_o aquinas_n answer_v very_o well_o and_o say_v that_o although_o in_o appearance_n and_o by_o the_o exterior_a sound_n of_o the_o word_n these_o two_o virtue_n may_v seem_v to_o be_v contrary_a between_v themselves_o yet_o in_o effect_n and_o truth_n one_o virtue_n can_v be_v
